If I make a reservation for a certain type of vehicle, it’s expected that since I received confirmation, that I would be supplied the vehicle I requested. However I was handed a set of keys, told it was on the lot, and then I walked around aimlessly seeking my rental. When I eventually returned to the office and inquired as to where my reserved vehicle was located. At that time I was informed that indeed I didn’t get the vehicle I requested, instead had to use an oversized and less fuel efficient truck, or forgo my rental! So the lack of customer service, lack of honoring reservation , and lack of follow through just goes to confirm why customers don’t enjoy utilizing U-Haul and think poorly of their customer service and overall experience.

Send your Reps to customer service school (example:Sean K) teach them how to respect the customers wishes don't second guess reservations that have already been put in place, when a customer says 'No' that's what they mean. Keep unwanted suggestions to themselves Unless a Service Rep can stand behind what they say and their actions is to benefit the customers experience in a helpful way and possibly save on cost they don't need to make changes or suggestions. Have some INTEGRITY Be HONEST Show TRANSPARENCY and get the best deal for your customers. I've been using UHAUL for years and often the past 5 years l, never had a complaint with my rentals service or experience cost either. Cost is very important these days especially among seniors on a limited income, below income average etc. And I have one suggestion for the UHAUL name Give miles credit for the distance from rental pickup to the location where loading will happen. Those extra miles cost your customers over the limits you set, even if it's only $1 a mile extra, money is money and every dollar in the customers pocket helps and will bring them back as well generate more customers

Gas was only at 1/4th when i rented the truck. I got gas at a gas station across the street and was charged for fuel. The gas was marked lower than when I left unloading my furniture even though the distance between my home and the drop off location was not far from each other.

Renting the truck was fast. The manager was friendly and the truck and equipment were clean. I returned the truck before the lobby was opened, but the young lady I returned the truck to was kind enough to assist me with getting the truck logged back in. She printed me a copy out of my charges and brought them out to me. It was one of the best Uhaul experiences.

Pensacola was not my drop off location so my ratings apply to my actual drop off location that I scheduled. I dropped off my rental truck where I and when I said I would on the 8th of January as indicated in the app (Lonestar in Fort Worth Texas). I received a bill on the 18th stating I would be billed an additional $845 for turning in the vehicle late and at a different location. I called Uhaul and apparently the Fort Worth Tx location never checked my truck in - there was nobody at the Uhaul desk when I dropped it off and the other person in the place of business (storage unit employee?) instructed me to just drop the keys off at the Uhaul desk. I called Uhaul to dispute the charge which they said they will reverse, but apparently the truck was not checked in and subsequently used for a trip to Pensacola Florida and charged to me.

My truck had an rear inside tire that was flat. Gladly I noticed and called the roadside assistance ans he replaced the tire also my rh windshield wiper was loose at one end. I think both problems were very serious because of the safety nature of it. I was very disappointed on that point.

Check the safety equipment and moving parts on these vehicles. The rear door barely opened and closed and the brakes were dicey. I realize this is an older truck but you have to maintain a standard of safety too

Previous renter must have smoked in the cargo van. The windshield was dirty on the inside. Van only had a half-tank of gas so it was difficult to calculate returning it with only a half-tank.

I ordered a UHaul to move 1 load of household items. I went approximately 8.7 miles. I was told to return it on 1/4 of a tank. I did. I was charged 100$ and some change before returning. I used a cashapp card and it went up from 77 to 100$ for a using a prepaid card but was told it would refunded. OK No problem. THEN AFTER I RETURN IT they are telling me that I owe them an additional 60$ because I didn't return it to the same location I rented from. Never ONCE was I told I had to return it to the same location during the employees 10 minute run down of the do's and dont's!!! So now I'm being penalized for the employees error. I called and called and was FINALLY able to get ahold of gentleman who said he'd help me. After sitting on the phone for 30 minutes I got an empty promise of we'll review it and come up with a solution. ITS BEEN 11 DAYS AND NOTHING. And when I try and call back it goes to voicemail. They are just greedy selfish people. They have put me in a horrible spot financially

Overall average. Customer service was fair at best. The light bulb was burnt out in the unit when I arrived 9 months ago and was never replaced. The pricing is way too high for this unit. It was high to begin with and then you raised it even more. I have found two 10x20 units within a mile of your location for the same price I was paying for just this single 10x15 unit. Would definitely not recommend.

My lock didn’t close properly because your office refused to repair the door latch even after repeatedly bringing it to your attention. I had to always bring a second person and tools to pry the door upward so that the latch holes lined up and the lock bar could fit through both holes. I requested someone to bore the holes out larger multiple times. I have crippled hands. When I finally put my own lock on that had a thinner bar so that I wouldn’t require a helper and tools, you took off my lock, put on your own, and locked me out of my unit. When I needed in, your employees couldn’t find the key to your lock. Your employee spent 30 minutes trying different keys, then had the nerve to yell at me and call me names because I waited in my truck in the AC while you tried to unlock my unit, unsuccessfully. I was locked out. When I came back a week later, finally a nice man bored out the hole for me, and I was forced to spend $10 on your approved lock. By then I had bought a house and was in the process of emptying the unit. I DREADED having to go to my storage unit for the yesr I had it because I knew there was going to be a 15-30 minute struggle to lock it back up. And I had to find a friend to PAY to come help me every time. Your office REFUSED to fix my latch, so I mostly just couldn’t access my belongings. I’m a single disabled lady, and I don’t appreciate the extra work, expense, and hassle your office put me through. I have ZERO reason to ever recommend this facility to anyone, unless I hate them. I asked multiple times for my latch to be fixed. It took all of five minutes in the end. Yall owe me many HOURS of aggravation in my life that I can never get back.

My experience was absolutely terrible! Large Rats urinated and droppings all over my things, they ate through my bags, mildew and water damage. Oh let's not talk about the dead large rat. Rats not Mice! And I paid for insurance coverage. Just awful. I had to throw so many of my things away. So I didn't even open because I saw it had been eaten through.

There was supposed to be a lock inside the unit, but there wasn’t. The light wouldn’t turn on at the switch or by the chair. It looked like it was hanging from the wall and when I touched it it sparked. I reported it to the desk and one of them came to verify it wasn’t working. The next time I go back I have to let them know so someone can possibly fix it. I’m not upset by it, just wished it was already fixed so We could see to put our stuff in.

Great management and staff. JQ,Angel & Ronica Jeff, Assistant Manager, Lot maintenance person mechanic. Everyone was always courteous and professional. Always suggested extra products that I needed. JQ knew which boxes I needed to purchase and exact quantity. Davis Hwy Uhaul made my move & storage a less stressful time. The entire staff needs to branch off to management at other Uhaul stores. This is one of the best teams ever!!!

Jeffrey Dawson treated me and every person that came in the business as if they were the most important person he had ever known. When I started my move in the Indiana area I waited in long lines. There were no employees to help. When I arrived at Jeffrey Dawson’s place he was unhooking the trailer in anticipation of my next need.
