My Uhaul nightmare. Took my truck to the location a few days before the rental date to make sure there would be no issues. Truck was inspected for and electrical issues, turn signals, breaks and load capacity. Was told everything was fine. On rental day I was told my truck was not able to pull the small trailer. I was able to borrow a larger truck and came back the next day. Was told that now I needed an electrical adaptor, another expense. Finally was off and trip went with out issue. Returned trailer that evening and was told that my name was not in the system to return the trailer. I explained that I rented the trailer earlier that day and gave her my receipt. It was then reveled to me that the trailer was reported stolen. I was not happy to hear that then and I am still upset. Driving a truck not in my name pulling a trailer reported stolen.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with my uhaul Ubox service. Not only did I trust them to get my goods safely from North Carolina to Michigan but I actually paid extra for insurance to ensure I had coverage in case things get damage. My grandma before she died bought me a picture that I had hanging in my house. It was packaged perfectly with the pads given and upon arrival it was shattered. Although upset, I understand things happen so when I submit a claim to simply have the picture reframed, the insurance company supplied by uhaul said it was not there fault and to go after the loading company that they recommended. Not only is this improper enforcement of the insurance that I PAID EXTRA for, I had to wait over 4 weeks to hear back from the insurance company stating that “times were busy”. I do not recommend Uhaul to anyone after this poor service nor will I be using it again. What is the point of paying for insurance if it doesn't cover the cost of broken goods in transit. I am very disappointed.

On the initial pickup I was connected to three different trailers before I suggested a different adapter for the lights. I was given the adapter but not told if it was a rental or a purchase. When the trailer was loaded and on the road it started to rain. Once at our destination we discovered the trailers roof leaked and boxes were wet. We submitted pictures and talked to a uhaul rep but were never offered any help or options such as a swat out. I have never rented from uhaul and probably will not consider this company again.

The young African American man who gave me the keys was lacking on customer service. No smile, mumbled his speech, & made me feel uncomfortable asking questions. When returning the uhaul, there were 2 other associates 1 young Caucasian woman and 1 40yr man. They were friendlier & helpful but there was a slight lack of professionalism. They also weren't masked. But overall, it was easy to get the rental & return it.

They place i originally reserved the unit from was closed when I got there. Apparently the guy closes everyday at 3:30 but you can reserve online for after that time. Very very frustrating to get there to pick up the unit and the business us closed. Feel free to contact me at 704-989-1650. I do not know why you allow this guy to represent your brand.

Computers we slow to not functioning when I arrived. Waited 37 minutes past reservation time to checkin. Also there were customers at two desks so I waited. Finally asked if there was someone available to help me. One “customer was an employee sitting I a chair at the check-in desk. Representative got him up and tried to get me started. GREAT check-in person! She was fast, efficient, professional, polite! In and out!

Unfortunately I got an experience before with this location where we got charge for smoking buds even though we don't smoke and we make the claim for the extra charge we never got the call back, and when the service was poor because it was only 1 person taking care of everything.

Reserved larger storage unit on first floor but when I showed up only 5x5 was available. I recently had back surgery and cannot carry items up and down stairs. I am highly disappointed and agitated.

The lady who checked me in was professional and polite. I came to the store, checked in, was given the keys, after paying for the rental. In addition to the truck I rented 12 pads and an appliance dolly. I had to come and pick up the truck later after finding a ride. I was told how to locate the truck by the unit number and told where the truck would be. I came back before store closed, located my truck, checked and it had all the pads and dolly. As I left, I looked around the cab of the truck and it was awful! I had no time to go back to the store, in the morning before I started moving, I had to clean the cab. There is no way this truck was cleaned or sanitized before I piked it up. There were earbuds and an unidentifiable goo on the floor. There was a coating of bugs on the mirrors and, the front of the girl and the “attic.” I have never rented anything as dirty as this truck, that is including the construction equipment I have rented. In the morning of the move I grabbed the pads. They were cover in dry grass. This is the worst rental experience I have had!

I've helped others (friends, family, etc.) in the past, but this was my first time renting a moving truck for myself. The process was super easy and convenient. The truck was easy to drive, just have to get used to driving a bigger-than-normal vehicle and relying on your mirrors. The truck was clean and seemed to be well-maintained. The staff at the front desk was very polite and accommodating. Returning the truck was fast and simple and the gentleman who was there to receive the truck was polite and helpful as well. All-in-all, U-Haul made my moving experience easy and painless.

Increase staffing & fix the online equip return App. - When I picked up trailer, waited a long time before I was served (although the employees were working hard). Especially frustrating because I had done the online check-in in advance. Then cash register/terminal did not work. When I returned the trailer after hours, the online check-in did not work - App said I had not provided location on my phone, but I had - so hopefully I am not charged the $20 return fee, because I tried to do the check-in to avoid the fee.

Had the worst experience with uhaul ever. From equipment broken down to only 1 person in the entire city that drives the uboxes to the store giving me the run around for over a week and not to mention the date we finally landed on couldn't work because the truck wasn't fixed yet. Also by the time I got the box back to my house the box was screwed shut with huge 8-10 inch screws that I didn't have the tools to take out. I am grateful for the customer service manager that I talk to she helped me a lot.

Hassle to rent and then overcharged and then call “mgr” Avery who said he could not fix and has to hold another 25 mins for U-Haul to “open a file” and to expect contact back in 72 hrs— not resolution and during moves every penny counts

Neither employees were wearing masks. The check-in process was too long even though I had "pre" checked-in. One employee mocked a customer in front of me after the customer left the area. A very unenjoyable experience from pickup to drop off.

there is some white hair of a person or animal on the seat. please give your consideration on it more. above all, I used a rental car for about 3 hours over but the receipt you sent to me tell that I used it 27 hours. then you charged me more I think. I will go to the Uhaul store for asking for the reason.

I have rented a few times in the last few months. Not just this location. But the computer systems are very slow. The associates thus the customers spend a long time waiting. The check in process for the guy to get his app to upload a picture of my drivers license took a long time. Every step we stood and waited. I had reserved on line. Yet we started over with basic info to be keyed in. Otherwise it was good.

Everything was fine until checkout. When I was ready to move out of the storage unit (August 17, 2020), I went to the front office to notify them. They said they just needed to do a walk through. I have receive numerous emails and statements in the mail where late fees were assessed. I have had to call 3 times to try to remind them I had already moved out. Extremely frustrating to get through to someone and then my account still wasn't fixed. Hopefully, after today's call everything was concluded.

The loading dock was in need of some cleaning as there was a lot of water along the dock which also had an awful smell do trying to maneuver the carts through the area without your items getting wet and hoping not to drop anything that would fall into the water was a bit difficult. Not sure where the water came from but it covered the soles of our shoes and it hadn’t rained so not sure what was going on with that but the dock smelled like vomit. I wish the doors to get into the units were wider. It was very hard to get my furniture especially sofa and loveseat into the door of the 10’ x 10’ unit.

The storage unit doesn’t work. I have to have my truck turned in at 9 am. I came to put my sofa in the storage unit at 8:20 am, only to find the storage building denying my access, both with my swipe card and my access code. I was told by staff that the storage access doesn’t always work, but this is of great inconvenience to me as a paying customer. I now have a large sofa in a truck and have to sit and wait. I don’t want to be charged an extra day for the truck and I would like to be able to access the storage unit that I’m paying nearly $100 a month for at my convenience.

The process of moving into a new storage unit as a student was complicated and stressful. My information was entered in wrong and trying to contact someone about the errors was difficult. When I brought up the errors the rep did not seem to care about it and just shrugged it away.

I have learned to never recommend any place, that is the reason I selected no. But, when I picked up the van, I had attempted to do the online part but that failed, and couldn't get a response online. The guy working the desk was creepy! Made weird comments about how I did things perfectly, the system was just acting up. He took a pic of my ID for some reason, never had that happen before. Couldn't tell if he did it with my credit card also. When I asked him about it he said he didn't do it. The guy had his volume turned up on the phone and I could clearly hear the picture taking sound. I have cancelled my credit card because of this and now concerned about my drivers license information being out that. I feel I need to get the redone. I am expecting u-haul to reimburse me for this expense and provide me with an explanation of why he is taking picture of my id and possibly my credit card.

The Gentlemen that was helping was very nice, but able to help pick out a unit. His coworkers did not help him much. It took an hour to get a 10 x 10 and then they could not print a document that stated what we just did. Nice place but painful get a 10 x 10. I noticed that shen I moved out, some of my boxes appeared moist. The back paneling of a bookshelf also had this moisture problem. I also found poop on a couple of boxes (but found no culprit).
