DO NOT go to this location. The staff was very disrespectful and they don't know the policies of rental. They tell you one thing but the policies say something different. I was told I could drop the truck off at another location but that wasn't the case. I purchased an in-town truck and I had no idea until I was told I couldn't drop off at another location. I had to turn that truck back in and rent an entire new truck from a different location to go out of town. They took it personal that I reminded them of what they told me. Why get mad at me for what YOU told me and say I'm a bad customer? I just hope and pray I'm not charged any extra for the other truck that I turned back in at its original location. Staff needs to be trained on policies and rental agreements. The staff at the Guilford College location were very professional, kind and ensured everything was well explained and that I got what I needed.Tonya G.

The service was good. When I advised the young lady that helped to get into my unit that I was taking all my items she didn’t tell me to return the keys or anything. She told me to make sure I checkout on the keypad. Now I have to find the keys and return them, which is frustrating…Also I misled and overcharged. I had to rent 3 or 4 units for a 4 bedroom house. Although my vehicle had issues day after day with the hitch and wiring installation the manager Everett was a God sent. He should be utilized at a higher position with his deescalating techniques and professional mannerisms. I wish there was an Everett at all of my uhaul locations! The Erie PA location where my rental originated from was very helpful and accommodating. The Greensboro location was very punctual delivering and picking up uboxes. The person that waited on me was not just not helpful, he did not care about me, or his job, or Uhaul. My reservation was somehow cancelled and he did not care to help me or had any concern that I was now panicked. He was almost asleep at the desk. When I did get a vehicle it smelled like weed, and the transmission seemed to be slipping the whole time. When you put on the brakes the engine revved. I ordered a hitch via the U-Haul website and made an appointment for installation 9 days later. I arrived for my appointment only to be informed that the part was not in stock and that they were still awaiting delivery from FedEx. Not only was the part not there more than a week after ordering it, but at no point did ANYONE from U-Haul reach out to let me know the installation would have to be rescheduled. This pattern was repeated 2 more times before the hitch was finally installed 3 weeks later. To add insult to injury, the installation took more than twice as long as it should have and the installer left dirty parts from under the car on my front seat. Looking at other reviews, this is apparently typical for this location.Victor D.

Very nice people that worked hard to help me when the location in PA directed me to incorrectly load my vehicle resulting in thousands of dollars of damages. This location helped me with truck rental extension and getting my car to the dealership. I highly recommend this Uhaul center.Dawn S.

I reserved a furniture dolly a week in advance because of a piece of furniture that was an antique, handmade, and extremely heavy. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the attendant say he was all out. I asked why I wasn't contacted so that I could make other arrangements but the attendant just mumbled something and then he suggested that I buy a furniture dolly. The better suggestion would be for him to do would be to take the one he wanted me to buy and make it a rental since they obviously didn't have enough to meet their reservations. My moving crew had a lot of issues trying to move this piece and ended up leaving a big scratch in my flooring. This would have been avoided had my reservation been honored or if this U-Haul would have made me aware of their lack of equipment so I could have made other arrangements. This was a very negative experience. When I first got the unit, uhaul employees told me I was getting a large unit big enough to fit a whole apartment, and they gave me one of the smallest units. I had to get a second small unit because no large units were available. Getting two units made this way more expensive for me and they were so small my stuff really didn’t even fit and some of my stuff got broken. I wouldn’t have even come to uhaul if they had just been honest with me that the big units weren’t available. The alarm was broken the entire time I had units there and would ring the entire time I was in my units. Every time I went there, I asked employees in the office about the alarm on multiple occasions and I even called corporate about it and everyone kept telling me it wouldn’t ring any more and then it would ring again the next time I went to my units. It’s very painful to the ears. Even on the last day I was there, one of the uhaul employees tried telling me I must be entering my code in wrong if it is ringing and tried to act like it was something I’m doing wrong. I’ve been there other times where employees admitted to me the system is broken and said it does that all the time so he was wrong to try to blame me for that. I verified my code with him and it didn’t stop the ringing after that. I even asked him to come help me with my code or the alarm and he just told me he fixed it and it should not ring anymore and he he wouldn’t look at it with me. As soon as I went back to the unit after he told me that, it was still ringing and no employee came to look at it for me. The code box never worked the entire time I had my units, and I’ve been there a few times where uhaul employees actually tell customers to leave the door cracked open so customers can get in. When I went at night the door would be cracked open and it wasn’t safe because anyone could follow me in. Then when we got our truck on the last day it had a flat tire. They had a parking lot full of trucks and wouldn’t let us switch the truck out because they said those were reserved. We had a reservation also though so that didn’t make sense at all and the other people they were referring to weren’t there. We had to wait for roadside repair to come and we were paying movers by the hour so moving became even more expensive for us because of Uhaul’s y professionalism. The place has terrible customer service. I saw they took records of my units off my portal but I still got charged for most of the time I was there. To me I shouldn’t have been charged because this was a terrible experience. I typically don’t complain or try to get my money back but this was incredibly bad customer service.Kristin B. | Overall Experience

A 26 ft truck out of state rental and the storage unit was upstairs with no elevator and no one mentioned that. The storage unit building stank like there was something dead. It was so terrible I could barely stand bing inside. The building was not secure...the door could be opened, the alarm would sound, but we were told no one would come to check on the alarm if it went off. There was also no elevator to the second floor.
