the ease of rental return left a lot to be disired. Took an hour to connect to do the mobile return. Once connected, the return was smooth. Several people showed up to pick-up through mobile but where told to report back for in person pick-up. Not a very good situation.

Trailer and Towing Supplies
Very slow check in "because the computers are so busy. Oh and we only have 6 blankets." If I had ordered 6 thatd be great. I ordered 12. "We will credit it back. That's all we can do." I u understand, but you have a stack to sell right there (20 or so) so why not provide my order as ordered and grab 6? "Oh 🤔🤔, we cannot do that but will credit back." But wait, another person comes from the back, "I have 4 more!!" That's great. Where are my other two? You know there reply now I'm sure. But wait again. Hey, I found 2 more!! Wow. The 2 people at check in were not interested in doing anything, being helpful, or greeting people. Few people in line, "Next." They are just hurding cattle. On the other hand, Fran was super polite and courteous as was the gentleman checking rentals back in. Very good people there. Let's hope the other "way good service personnel" dont chase them away for "Doing a superb job."
Very competent, nice and friendly manager
Nothing with covid going on
I was very pleased with my rental overall. The only thing that was not satisfactory was the online check in/retrieval option. I waited for almost 30 minutes to get my reservation filled even though I had chosen mobile pick up, I was trying to avoid being inside the store front as much as possible. The truck I was assigned was changed twice while I waited, and I was given a truck that had clearly been dropped off from the previous day. My concern with this amidst an ongoing pandemic was whether or not these trucks are cleaned at all before being reused.
Staff were friendly, drop off was easy. The only concern is that the address is on Friendly Ave, and Google says you can enter from Friendly Ave, but actually you have to go in on the side street Chimney Rock. That can result in having to find a place to turn around the truck and come back.
Better signage for the entrance and after hours return
I did see a lot of water on the floor of a hallway approximately 2-3 hallways before getting to my particular hall where my storage unit was located. We noticed this as we were trying to find our unit. It was very concerning although it wasn't in the area where my unit was but that threw up a red flag and I hope that whenever I remove my items from my unit that there is no water damage to my stored items. I'm not sure if the water was coming from a restroom or where but it was high enough to cover your shoes.
The truck was in really really rough shape. Brakes were horrible. I had very little confidence in the truck.
No staff member behind the counter ever wore a mask while I was there
Already provided this to customer service
My dollies were not in the truck at time of pick up like I was told.
The lady told me to wait while she hooked up a trailer for another customer, she struggled with the hook up, I came over to assist, she was very combative, I tried to explain to her that they were on a slope and the coupler will not work until there were on level ground. She continued to do her own thing until I directly engaged the other customer and explained what needed to happen. We moved the trailer to level ground and hooked up. I then was asked to move my trailer 3 times before they let me drop it. Train your employees
Your customer service agent was not friendly at all. She never made eye contact, gave short answers and did not look happy with her job at all. My truck was not clean, old and the suspension bounced around like crazy at highway speeds. Upon return, there was NO attendant checking in trucks and 4 trucks lined up waiting. I waited for someone to come out and nobody did. I went inside and nobody acknowledged me. The clerk was on the phone for at least 5 minutes before waiting on me. It was like the location was short-staffed on purpose. I get the Covid thing and all, but this was ridiculous on a Sat, the busiest day for moving!!!
Better customer service
The staff knows nothing about customer service. When I arrived the office person had to leave to help a customer outside. After about 15 minutes another person came out from the back and did not even acknowledge I was there. Eventually after about 3-4 minutes I walked up to the person and asked if she was going to help me. Hardly any response, 1 or 2 word sentences, very unfriendly. The person working outside was much better though.
The only issues I ran into was that the vehicle had a false RR TIRE LOW PRESSURE READING during the entire time in use even after adding air. Also vehicle was not that clean outside or inside. The vehicle not being that clean was really not a major issue I just figured I would make you aware for future customers. On the Positive Side your Staff is Great at Customer Relations and making you feel appreciated.
This location had awesome customer service. They took care of me when the Gate City Location dropped the ball. The staff was out of this world. The only other thing that I may say is everything was great just monitor the gas more carefully and check the gas gauge before leaving as I was told that it was a full tank of gas and it wasn't but because my contract said full I had to bring it back on full.
I loved the brand new van. There was a backup camera in the rear view mirror.
Process of picking up and dropping off the trailer was seamless - it appears that U-Haul has made an effort to improve the customer experience and it is paying off. It definitely makes me consider renting a trailer (or truck) a more likely option for times when I need to move items.
Equipment was in very good condition. Responsiveness of staff on hand at location was not good. Upon return of equipment, signs said to wait in vehicle, but after 15-20 minutes, no one came to check in my vehicle.
Everybody (no joke; everybody) is always very helpful at this location. I am pleased with my transaction and will definitely consider this location for any needs in the future.
One customer service rep was dismissive.
It was a really horrible day, we waited over an hour for our truck when we couldn't find it during online check in. The keys to the truck ended up in another truck and the clerk had to drive and get them. Then another employee seeing how Long this was taking gave us a different truck. But then we were unable to correctly complete online checkout so then checkout took almost another hour. Really frustrating day, the staff were really kind and really tried to help but it was just chaotic and disorganized.
Appreciated that we could do the wireless drop-off and check-in out of hours.
