Had to wait an extended time to get assistance after pulling into the return spot. The lady that greeted me was very nice. The U-Haul app is/was terrible. Kept timing out and not processing input. I then got assistance from a young man to get checked in; he was nice. I brought the truck back with about a half tank extra than when I got it. Due to the tank size of the truck (60 gallons) I thought I'd ask about getting reimbursed since it's well over $100. The man checking me in asked another man who I assume is a manager of sorts and this guy was a d*ck. Very poor customer service. U-Haul definitely needs to figure out a different methodology for fuel. It's currently a way of squeezing money out of customers. I will find a way to return the truck with just the right amount of gas in the future, just out of principle.Derek T.

The 20 foot truck I rented could use some serious mechanical attention. The steering was VERY loose (so much so that I could turn the steering wheel 1/8th of a turn before it would actually turn the wheels), and the steering wheel was pointed at the 2 o'clock position while driving straight. Overall the service at this location was excellent, and the employees were pleasant and courteous. That vehicle, however, should have been considerably more mechanically sound.Aaron C.

In the description of the utility trailers, it should be noted that the opening access to the trailer is smaller than the trailer dimensions. Not knowing this caused a difficult situation that cost me money that could have been saved. Hopefully I receive some type of reimbursement for the time and money that was lost because of this detail that was not included in the description.TRAVIS G.

The process was good, up until the situation where the people didn't check my return back in within normal hours. So I was charged for two days instead of one. And they couldn't give me credit so I had to call a customer service number, which involved a 25 minute on-hold time. It was eventually resolved, but seemed like it should have never happened since I did everything that was asked of me.Richard C.
Returned Sunday night but could not connect to Internet to return my truck. Charged an additional day AND for gas after putting $60 in the truck before drop off and for gas and additional charges. $75 additional charges I did not expect to pay. Great location - extremely efficient and organized. I picked up and dropped off in less thank half the time I expected on both ends. The vehicle was very clean but honestly it needed some minor maintenance. The "low oil" light came on frequently, and the front tires had very little tread and out-of-balance enough to vibrate a lot at highway speeds. Not a big problem for my move, but I would suggest some preventive maintenance on that vehicle soon.JEFFREY B.

Having to wait an additional hour for a rental when a reservation has been arranged in advance is unacceptable. I understand not being able to control people's return times but that information should be explained upon reserving. I don't understand the point of making a reservation if the time cannot be guaranteed. How is a person to make plans around that? The service was horrible. She overcharged me, refunded her mistake then recharged me, ultimately causing $120 to come out of my account for a $25 rental. I still have not received the refund. Plus the whole check in took over an hour. Horrible customer service, with absolutely no supervision on site. I would not recommend anyone going here to this location.Eric M.

I made reservation at w gate city to be pick up at 10am called to say I was running late the guy said it's fine to only get to store to no truck I was told upon arriving it was a conflict I need to now go pick my truck up at w friendly which no where near my home. Check in was swift and seamless. When I came back to drop the truck off, a gentleman took my keys and told me it would be about 15 minutes until he could inspect my truck. I didn't see him for another 45 minutes so I waited in line at the desk to inquire about how much longer it would be. Eventually I was told that I could just leave and it would be taken care of. It was a frustrating drop off experience. I was also charged for SafeMove when I did not opt for it when I booked the truck.Christopher H.
Could not click CONTINUE!!! When I returned the trailer - after closing hours @7:45pm - I start the uhaul.com/share process to verify and return the trailer. I couldn't pass STEP 2 and click CONTINUE (it was dimmed out) because I had not taken photos at the time of when I started the rental. I was not told that I MUST perform this to make sure I am not charged the extra return fee of $20. This is a BUG in your system or lack of training for your employees. AND it put a lot of stress on me to try to comply with this task that I was doomed to do at time of return, as I didn't have any photos taken before I started the rental.Nils H.

U-haul needs to replace the tires on their trailers when needed. I was concerned about a five hour drive with the tires on my 5 hour highway trip. They also need to check and replace the trailer light wires when needed.lance S.
I had not rented a vehicle in several years. I was amazed how easy it was to use the on-line services and mobile app for reserving, picking up and returning the vehicle. The check in process using uhaul.com/share was not working correctly and was very difficult to navigate. There were several other customers there when I was and we were all having the same issue. A 26 ft truck out of state rental and the storage unit was upstairs with no elevator and no one mentioned that. The storage unit building stank like there was something dead. It was so terrible I could barely stand bing inside. The building was not secure...the door could be opened, the alarm would sound, but we were told no one would come to check on the alarm if it went off. There was also no elevator to the second floor.
