The 24/7 share experience is really bad. The uhaul app is useless. It's really difficult to upload all the required photos for returning the truck. Overall experience with the technology is really disappointing.Rui Z.

My van had hand plyers rusted to the roof of it I was very lucky that these did not fall down on the van or break the windshield. I paid $140 for the insurance to drive from NC to CA and was disappointed when I called the emergency number, was placed on hold and never reached anyone. I was stuck in the middle of the Arizona desert and could not get help from uhaul. Called 3 times with an issue needing advice, yet was not able to talk to anyone, only the automatic recording.. You should refund me the money for the insurance I paid and could not access.JOSEF S.

It was a little frustrating that I was unaware of the significant taxes tacked onto the rental price. Also, i would highly recommend that the gas tanks be full at the beginning of each day - that would make it easier for the renter.ANGELA S.

We broke down in less than 100 miles into a 600 mile move. Your roadside assistance group did everything within their power to fix the situation, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Brake failure is dangerous and no joke. The vehicle was not maintained correctly and your company made for a dangerous situation.Joel R.

The reservation rep gave me totally incorrect information. Luckily a guy representing the pick up location called me the morning of pick up and when all the discrepancies were identified was able to help me. Truck did not have AC and the temperature on my move date reached 93. Was charged $25 because I didn't fold blankets and shown sign inside truck after I returned it. I'm 64 year old female and hired uhaul recommended movers to load and unload so I was never inside truck. This is my last uhaul rental and will use professionals from now on.Judy F.

Everything about the physical move went great. It is communication with U-Haul that is the problem. I waited over an hour trying to reach the receiving location in Fort Worth and finally just drove to the location to get my questions answered. The staff is very unprofessional. I highly dislike being told to fill an empty tanked truck to a quarter tank at 7:30 in the morning to receive a 23$ discount. Also all of your trucks should have full tanks. The guessing game of filling the tanks up to a proper level for threat of being way over charged for fuel if it's not correct I think is bad business. This company is highly profitable and shouldn't prey on renters when they already have to do it themselves with subpar equipment. All tanks should be full upon pick up.MICHAEL G.

I had a 10 o'clock appointment for my U but I didn't get out of there to 1:30 they didn't bring the first u-box out till 11:30 very slow and on organized then had to wait another 40 minutes before they brought out the second box.Chris G.

My box had no furniture pads and late being delivered When it was originally delivered the door would hardly open then was difficult to close Was not given a delivery time after multi calls was email a delivery time of 4pm ti1030 Upon opening some of the boxes I found item had been chewed up by mice When calling they said I should have gotten the insurance I WOULD HAVE IF I KNEE THE WAREHOUSE HAD MICE Also they said the mice must have been in the container when it was closed Sorry I do r think so Lesson learned ThanksElaine F.

If not for your people at the Piedmont facility this move would have been a disaster. The people in your central call center are largely incompetent. They were ill informed and rented equipment that would cost me money and was not right for the job. Moreover, the wait times were interminably long. It made the whole experience distressing.JOHN F.

So the images of the truck that I was supposed to log in and verify we're of the correct truck, but when it was newâ€¦. Not if it's current state. There were lots of X's marking damage but there was damage not marked I could not get the system to allow me to upload the images bad connection area I guess. When scheduling my delivery it took 3 days after they arrived for the system to allow the next available date, even though the local scheduling customer service agent said there was spots the next day. I wish there was a way I could have had it the next day. Also, when the delivery was scheduled at the end destination, I was recharged for the boxes, even though I was within my month window from when I started the process. Very friendly personnel and very helpful. My rental vehicle wasn't available at my pickup time because another customer was late returning the vehicle I was supposed to rent. They put me in a larger truck, 20 ft. instead of a 14 ft., at the same rate, and it worked out great. Turns out, I needed a 20 ft. truck anyway. Great service.DAVE H.

Everything was fine until checkout. When I was ready to move out of the storage unit (August 17, 2020), I went to the front office to notify them. They said they just needed to do a walk through. I have receive numerous emails and statements in the mail where late fees were assessed. I have had to call 3 times to try to remind them I had already moved out. The loading dock was in need of some cleaning as there was a lot of water along the dock which also had an awful smell do trying to maneuver the carts through the area without your items getting wet and hoping not to drop anything that would fall into the water was a bit difficult. Not sure where the water came from but it covered the soles of our shoes and it hadn’t rained so not sure what was going on with that but the dock smelled like vomit. The storage unit doesn’t work. I have to have my truck turned in at 9 am. I came to put my sofa in the storage unit at 8:20 am, only to find the storage building denying my access, both with my swipe card and my access code. I was told by staff that the storage access doesn’t always work, but this is of great inconvenience to me as a paying customer. I now have a large sofa in a truck and have to sit and wait. I don’t want to be charged an extra day for the truck and I would like to be able to access the storage unit that I’m paying nearly $100 a month for at my convenience.Lena B. | First Impressions

I have learned to never recommend any place, that is the reason I selected no. But, when I picked up the van, I had attempted to do the online part but that failed, and couldn't get a response online. The guy working the desk was creepy! Made weird comments about how I did things perfectly, the system was just acting up. He took a pic of my ID for some reason, never had that happen before. Couldn't tell if he did it with my credit card also. When I asked him about it he said he didn't do it. The guy had his volume turned up on the phone and I could clearly hear the picture taking sound. I have cancelled my credit card because of this and now concerned about my drivers license information being out that. I feel I need to get the redone.
