The staff at the Carruth Court address in Pueblo, CO are fabulous. George stood out as they helped above and beyond when we were removing our items from storage. It was very hot, our moving helpers canceled, leaving my 13 year old and I to load in the desert heat and sun. George recognized our plight, and stepped in to help. I was suffering from heat stroke so George gave us a place to rest and plenty of cool water to reduce our symptoms. The manager at this location chained my vehicle to the trailer via my exhaust system. Upon a damage claim for the damages he caused, the location immediately denied the claim stating they had â€œvideo evidence that he attached the chain to [a non existent] rear frameâ€. When I supplied supporting pictures showing a chain wrapped around my bent exhaust, and corresponding photos of no rear tie down points, I was made aware that now the video [evidence] instead showed that the employee was not far enough under the vehicle to attach to the exhaust, and instead attached the chain to the [non existent] tie down point located ABOVE my exhaust. Not only did the location contradict itself and lie, but now they then stated that I tried to remove my vehicle with a chain attached to my exhaust. They admitted their guilt, after contradicting themselves in their own lie, and my insurance claim was denied after the adjuster stated they did not VIEW this video. This corrupt organization is never going to receive my money EVER again. I spend thousands every year through Uhaul, and I will GLADLY spend more money elsewhereRyan S.
They were life savers..the help i was supposed to have wasnt able to come. They were nice enough to help unload ny grandmas china hutch taking extra care to not let the rain get it. I was stressed that i wasnt going to be able ti get stuff unloaded in time but the worker was very calm, told me not to worry they would help me and wasnt upset or rude about my situation..which made things go much better. I had accidentally misplaced the key to the Uhaul. I went back to the location to see what it would cost to get the spare key. They informed me there was no spare key (I don't believe that for one minute)! The final result was I had to pay over $200 to have a locksmith cut a new key so I could finish moving and UHaul gets the extra key free of charge, of course, because it wasn't on them. I understand it was my mistake, but they could have been more helpful instead I'm out a lot of money for a move that shouldn't have cost more than $30.00!Stephanie M.

Not shut down the system for walk-ins needing a truck. I went in Friday, no luck, next day returned a lock I purchased and asked again, same issue. I decided to try online, booked within minutes for the same location. The stores should be able to see what's available at anytime. Uhaul almost lost out of my business.Stephan L.

When I went in Josh who had helped me exactly two weeks ago was not helpful. I did the online check in to make my check in quicker and he still made me do a check in through him. Then the reference person I used last time he would allow.me to use even though I had rented two weeks prior at the same location no issues. It took 30 plus minutes to finally check in and get my car hauler then to drop off was another 30min wait because they were unstaffed I was told. I have rented 3 times from the location on Carruth in Puevlo, CO and have always brought my rentals back before the 24hr period. This was not a good experience this time. I understand being busy but that doesn't mean you display complete lack of respect for the customers time or make things more difficult when I am paying for the service.Sarah B.

Unfriendly staff Forgot to put the hand truck in the trailer, so when I got home, a full hour away, we had no hand truck. I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes, then the call was transferred and I waited another 15 minutes to be told there was nothing they could do to help. Not at all happy. Crap service.collin P.

Friendly store staff they were amazing best I've come by! If it wasent for that staff I would be blowing up the bad reviews......but overall UHaul was a mess Had to make 3 different truck rentals all at different locations because they would reserve me a vehicle they didn't have available! And than on top of that was overcharged for accessories. I have waited on hold to talk to someone twice for over 50 mins even tho the wait time said 20 mins. The van was not at the location that I reserved it at. I had to go to a location 20 miles out of my way. when I got there the manager had canceled my reservation. This put me 90 minutes behind an cost me an extra 20 mikes in the rental expense. He eventually got me a van but it made me very last and caused a great deal of frustration..Charles V.

After many failed attempts, i was unable to contact this location over the phone. I was able to make a reservation online, but once at the location it took almost an hour to finally get the trailer hooked up. The staff was nice and courteous, but for this being a main Uhaul store, i expected a smoother and quicker process.John C.

The first time I made an appointment online it was canceled and I never found out why. It took more time but we finally got it working. The truck I was trying to get was not available due to a breakdown of communications somehow. First-I reserved a 26' truck and the evening prior to me picking it up the location changed my reservation. They selected a 20' truck which made it so I had to make several trips. Also the reservation guarantee is a joke. My original reservation was not fulfilled and I asked about the guarantee and it was dismissed without much conversation. No explanation was given as to why my issue did not apply. My entire bill should have been at least $50 cheaper. Second-the electronic check in process is ridiculous. The customer is the one doing all the work while the employees sit on their butts . If it were after hours it would be different . To show up at 10am and have the location require electronic check in and a selfie to verify that I am me is overboard. I have an idea...look at me and then look at my DL. If I have to do all the check in work and sign out the truck I should get a discount if it is during normal hours. Every customer that was at the location during the time I was there was complaining about the process. If I had known, at the time I made my reservation, that it was going to be like that when I showed up I would have gone with penske. By the time I showed up it was too late. Third- to put a dolly and bag of blankets in the back of a truck when I did not ask for them is ignorant as well. What if you gave me a smaller truck and I need all the room I can get so I have to pull the dolly off to make use of the space....then I'll get charged for it even though when I made my reservation I said I didn't want a dolly. I should be refunded that money as well. Overall I would not recommend uhaul at all. This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I will look elsewhere in the future and will recommend to others that they do the same.Zachary C.

You should let your customers know that you don't have access cards and cannot access storage . I drive 3 hrs one evening to get something out my storage. The main problem I had was with billing. I kept getting emails and letters claiming I was behind in my payments and owed late fees even though I was current and had receipts to prove it. I was told that I would have GROUND-FLOOR ACCESS I was told that the 1st month's rent was FREE I was told that it was an 8X10X5 I asked if the truck and the storage unit were going to hold all of my furniture and other belongings. Nothing I was told were actually TRUE! I had to scramble to get another storage unit because the Truck AND the storage unit WERE TOO SMALL! Nothing the first representative told me WAS EVEN CLOSE TO THE TRUTH! My family is their friends made trips IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE VEHICLES to help finish my move. I want a full refund for the entire "UHAUL MOVING EXPERIENCES" of one lie and additional Fee after another.
