I feel that the employees are under a lot of pressure due to the location being understaffed. They handle disgruntled customers very well, but I always feel bad for them. The line is always long, and they can only do so much.

This location in Pueblo, CO was very average. The problem I ran into was the customer service, not at the location. Trying to set up an exact time and place to pick up my u-haul trailer was ridiculous!! I reserved the date and time and talked to 5 different people that just COULD NOT get it right!!! I will NEVER set up my reservation through your 800 number ever again!! I will call the exact location next time!!!

The way Uhaul charges is ridiculous. Charging the “estimated” cost and then when you check the equipment back in, the final rental cost. You get the estimated charge refunded but not for 3-5 business days. So my bank account is now in the red. Might be my fault but I’m still not happy about it. Not to mention every time we use Uhaul we have to wait around in the office until someone decides to go in and help us. So annoying!!!!

When I showed up to pick up my van, I was told that I had to provide an emergency contact number, and that when the clerk called this number the person had to pick up immediately, otherwise we couldn't proceed. Oh, and that person couldn't be travelling with me! How many people in your life will drop what they are doing and pick up a phone call from a strange number? I was told that I could pre-call them to prepare them to pick up the phone. And why? "For your safety." Horseshit. When I wanted to use the driver dropping me off at U-Haul, the mentally retarded clerk said I couldn't use her because she was "standing right there". What ensued was a five minute primer on the concept of how she had her own vehicle. Knuckles scraping the floor, she conferred with her fellow clerk and finally conceded that my drop off driver would satisfy the requirement. Then, despite her standing right there, she called her phone. I've rented vehicles for decades from Ryder, Penske, and U-Haul (my last U-Haul six months ago). I've never been put through this sort of asinine, pointless, rigmarole. It was unexpected, unpleasant, and patently stupid. I will never again rent rent from U-Haul if I can help it. I would pay for a video of that clerk being beaten.

I rented a utility dolly for 1 day for $7.38. For that I had to have both sides of my drivers license copied after giving my address and phone number. Then I had to provide information on another person to contact plus a second contact person who would not be going with me, give the location I was moving from and location I was moving to. This was in addition to prepaying with my credit card. For a utility dolly - this was the dumbest set of requirements that I have ever encountered. It would have taken me less time and hassle if I had bought a dolly at Home Depot. Next time I will.

I reserved a 10' truck and a couple of days before it was time to come get the truck I received an email stating I was upgraded to a 15' truck. After multiple phone calls I was finally able to get the 10' truck; however, it did not have a ramp. It was a very stressful and frustrating situation. We had to hand lift everything onto the truck including a washer & dryer.

All trucks should be returned with at least a half a tank of gas. The one I received was at 1/4 And I filled the tank $100, I obviously didn't use it all so I lost $40-$50 in gas. Frustrating that I had to go straight to a gas station before setting forth on my journey two hour drive later asked about it at drop off location and got no response. I've spent at least $2.5k in rentals just this last month and will probably spend another about the same in the next few months. I always get the trucks with a quarter of a tank. It's beyond frustrating.. I should be reimbursed for the gas or a credit on my next rental.. it's insane to be charged if it's not brought back with the same gas but nothing if you are way over due to others being inconsiderate!

Spent over 40 minutes on the phone for road side help. No one answered my call. All I got was advertisement no help. Had to call my car insurance company for help and the answered the phone and was there for me. Do not use uhaul.

When I went to drop off the trailer we had rented, the female inside expected me to take off this 6x12 trailer on my own and check out online. Mind you, I’m barely 100lbs and had never used a trailer before. The men in the back were too “busy” to help. I had to call someone from home to help me. Maybe hire more people to help up front because this was ridiculous. And the wait time is outstanding. I was there over an hour and then almost got charged for 2 days becauSe by time I had gotten the trailer off and the female finally decided to help I was an hour past the time drop off was. I’d rather drive across town to a different uhaul or even use a different company then have to use this one again.

Wait time was rather long. It was a Saturday morning but there were only two employees working (as quickly as they could) to get the customers in and out. My uhaul fuel was also on empty when i got it. I appreciated the fuel credit but a stop for gas added to my already stressful morning. This was my second rental from the same store in the past 3 months. Staff were busy but helpful
