The Uhaul location is well located for not only Richardson but the surrounding areas. The staff are extremely helpful and personable. I'll definitely use this location again.

Daniela ASend a checklist for people who rent a trailer. I got a former fleet vehicle. I replaced the hitch, which had been removed, but had not noticed there were no rings to connect the chains to. The staff was helpful and noted I could get a couple of D-rings to make it work. I got a pair from the local Lowes and we were set. But a checklist could help.

CHRISTOPHER N | First ImpressionsNot sure what can be done, but for anyone that is nervous about driving one of your trucks or pulling a trailer, this location is a little cramped to put customers at ease. I realize putting customers at ease is not the main goal here, but customers have other options. I might actually suggest another nearby location for people that are already stressed out about whatever moving situation in which they happen to be.

Davis FHold time. Literally every time I’ve ever called this location I’m put on hold for close to 6 minutes. Or if I’m waiting to pick up my rental, even though I filled out all the info online, they have to enter it again on their side. What is the point of making an online reservation?
Davin PI interacted with three people at the drop off…one in person and two on the phone. Only one of them should be interacting with people and that person was fantastic help with no condescending attitude. U-Haul has become too large to focus on customer service and have to keep the process moving, but to change my return location the day before I traveled 800 miles is not good customer service. You need to decide at the time of booking if it isn’t convenient to return at a location. I selected a location one mile from my home so I could drop the trailer and then return the truck after unloading. And the location also allowed me to walk home after dropping the truck. I had to add 20 miles to the truck and inconvenience a friend to pick me up at the location you chose. I will return to using Budget truck rental in the future.

I couldn’t go get gas because I would be charged a late fee also. I was penalized either way. Will not use U-Haul again do to the extreme extra fees

Fransisco AThe attendant handed me the keys to the truck and turned around and left. I did not know anything about this truck. I did not know I had to leave it on tow/haul. I didn’t know whether to put unleaded gas or premium gas in it. I just felt like that I should’ve been shown some of the features I could never get the adjusted where I could see out of it on the right side and he could’ve helped me do that if he just showed me how to operate this truck
DONNA HI would recommend as a drop off, due to the fact they refused me 5 extra minutes to finish unloading my stuff because they were closing. Which I understand closing. I was on the curb with the rest of stuff while my went & got his pick up. The guy that refused us, never left building until 7:30. Under these circumstances he could of gave me 5 more minutes

JEREMY PMake sure you reservation specifies that your preferred location to pick up your equipment actually has it, and that your drop-off location can accept all the equipment you rented, i.e. truck and trailer for instance. Help line was really helpful in resolving our issues with our return.

Scam as they would rent me a more expensive truck. Reserved a dolly. No dolly. But would sell me one for 90 dollars not the seven dollar fee. Pathetic scam. Long lines.
JOHN DSeverely crowded parking. Was not given help in locating vehicle which was parked so close to another, had to have help to guide out of space. Smoke pouring out of tailpipe. Brakes barely worked. Charge for gasoline was incorrect.

JULIE SService was incredibly slow inside. When it came to meeting a representative at the counter, it didn’t feel like I was being taken care of. Even if renting moving equipment isn’t a flashy business, basic hospitality is appreciated and still necessary. Unfortunately, this could be a management issue; if management doesn’t value a great customer experience, then they are most likely not going to get one.
CALEB Jchecked the day before drop off if i could take advantage of the "FREE" month of storage. told yes, showed unit, swipped my credit card for deposit. went in next moring ( in 15 degree weather ) on;y to be told they didnt have unit available and sent me to different location. also told i could drop off truck at other location, which DIDNT happen, was told there, they would charge me $3K for dropping off at wrong location. :( also told that i had to pay for a 2nd month of storage, even though there was NO mention of that in any promo ad on truck or in text messages to me. i dont like bait and switch companies.

DAVID AVery friendly staff and great service. Equipment was a 7 out of 10. The straps were frayed and the turn-buckles had rust on them (almost to the point of not moving). I am looking forward to the new "ToyHauler" trailer. Please add me to the list of people that want to be notified when they are ready to go!
MITCHEL SIt took 20 mins for someone to come help me take off a trailer when the store was empty. I went twice to the counter to see if someone was going to help. Then the man that helped asked my 60yr old mother to help him pick up the trailer off her car instead of asking a team member.

MAYA L | Online Move InI will not be returning to this location or referring to a friend. I was given keys to a truck that was nowhere on the lot. I searched for it with hired help, told they could not offer me another truck, then about 15 minutes later, they gave me one, without the dolly I requested. I called the same day to cancel my storage unit. The woman that answered told me not to worry, I wouldn't be charged. A month later I received an email to pay my storage bill. I called the 800 number to cancel and was assured it was done on their end and should be completed locally. Just received a late notice from local location. Had to call again. I was placed on hold a couple of times while the lady that Shana tried to figure it out. She said there was a file about me. Finally, she told me everything was taken care of. I asked for some sort of confirmation to be emailed to me. There was nothing to send to me. I'm just hoping I don't have to make another call next month.

This was because the “doors weren’t working” even though we got in by checking in at the gate and doors opened for us with no issues. Here is how this could have been a better experience: 1) add a note on your website under the store if there are issues. What if I had movers with me? 2) Identify the training gaps and train your employees. You should add how to phrase what you say to customers in your training curriculum. What matters is how you say it not what you say. Your other south austin location is even WORSE.

On site personnel should have moved my goods to a unit that was out of harms way but that didn't happen. While I was reimbursed partially for the damaged goods, more could have been done. I will not be using UHAUL in the future and would not recommend them to any friends or family.

They did not have a storage unit for me and proceeded to send me to 4 other locations that were all closed on sundays. I went over on gas, miles, and time because they were incapable of providing a storage unit. I had to take time off work to unload my truck 20 miles north the following week.

The employees were unorganized and unprofessional. They sent me to 3 other locations through out the Dallas metro that were all closed on sundays. They refused to accept responsibility for causing me to go over on gas, miles, and truck rental time. I was forced to take time off work on monday to move into a storage unit that was far from the original location. Very disappointed with the Uhaul Richardson staff for wasting my time and their poor attitudes. I expect more from you.

After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. This is about the dumbest thing in storage facilities I’ve ever encountered. We won’t be using this facility again for that reason alone.

Because i did the online move in, the email said my storage room was ready to access and all i had to do was enter the building which is not the case. as soon as i opened my storage room, the alarm went off because i had no card to swipe. Instructions were unclear and everything was confusing. I will not be using UHaul storage ever again.

We arrived a few minutes after 5pm on a Friday and left close to 8.pm The only thing we needed to do was return our truck, get a storage unit, and move the things out of our truck into our unit. If needing U-haul services and products in the future, this will not be the location we seek said services and products. My name isn't even spelled correctly for this account even though my wife and I were asked our names and other sensitive information several times while trying to secure a storage room.
