I made a reservation for a 4x8 trailer. $19. Added the safe tow $8. Added a utility dolly $7. Girl at the counter tells me there is a $60 deposit for the dolly and proceeds to tell me the total is $120. THAT math ain’t mathing. I’m tired and don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere so I pay the $120. She was rude. She called another worker over and the other girl tells me it’s because of the taxes. Sales tax rate in Dallas is 8.25%. Math still ain’t mathing. I use U-Haul regularly and this is the first time I’ve had such blatant ignorance of their job.

I have rented numerous times over the last 8 years from this U-Haul location without issue. It is incredibly frustrating to have to provide all this information without any accountability for what happens to the information afterwards.
Jonathan LDropping off my 5x8 trailer at this location was just as smooth as the pickup. The staff greeted me right away, checked everything quickly, and had me wrapped up in minutes. No confusion, no waiting around--just efficient, friendly service. A solid finish to my rental experience.

Melissa HThe first vehicle I was provided did not work, nor did the second. There were two people on staff while I was there, and while multiple people needed assistance not long before close, one of them went on break.
GERARDO VI was not reimbursed for my mileage under usage and I was charged additional fees for gas. I barely drove the truck 20 miles and I was charged $25 for 4 additional gallons when gas is almost $4. I would like a refund of the $25. That was an erroneous charge and definitely uncalled for.
Gudrun RCheck out experience was HORRIBLE!!! How everything was explained was very rushed and robotic. There was no care into making sure I was clear and understanding. When I asked questions it was addressed very dismissive
Angela MIn my opinion instead of me taking pictures of the truck before leaving the lot the representative should walk around the truck with the customer taking the pictures. Also, I should not have to pull the truck out of the parking spot. The truck should’ve been waiting so I could drive out since I did have a reservation.

Leonard GOrdering online wasn't very worthwile. I still had to wait in line to get the keys. Walking up to the counter and placing the reservation would have taken the same amount of time. Also, I wouldn't recommend this locatoin. There were 4-5 employees standing around chatting with a line of customers.

angela bNo recommended, when I arrived to the facility the associate I could not come in and they were closed and contact customer service over the phone for my storage. The website says they were open till 7pm but in real time 5pm. When I called customer service for access they couldn’t locate my reservation then tells me they found my reservation but the storage was not available but I reserved it . I was transferred another person and she told me it was not even available the one I requested. She gave other options but it was at another location and I would have to pay . Advised her I had a one way with a truck which that qualified me for a free month. Etcc
Krystal MThe computer systems seemed really slow, so there was a pretty long line as it took a long time to process each customer. We were on time but waited for 50 minutes to check out. The staff was super friendly, though, and the truck itself was perfect! Drop off was a breeze.

Bobby BThere site i rented from cancelled my original truck and assigned me with a new truck. The app and the receipt in my email were all for the original truck we did not rent. I called the drop off location as we would drop off after hours on the 1st day. He said the staff in the morning would call to confirm all was fine with check in. I did not receive a call, but an emailed receipt showing it was done. Not what was promised, but accomplished the mission.
Michelle JThis was a particularly unpleasant experience due to the national system being down with no way to manually get rentals done. You definitely need a better fail back plan for when computer systems are not functioning properly.
Charles LKayla helped me and she was great! The guy who originally rented the trailer to us had said he set it up so that we could return it to any of the uhaul sites near where we were going since we didn't know which would bed closest. Turns out he didn't and it was set up to be turned in at a different uhaul shop a long way away. ... just another reason we're not too happy with the pick up location... Anyway, after a bit of discussion in which I was not overly happy, Kayla got it figured out so I could do it off at her store. I really appreciated that and she was great to work with in every way. Really helped to bring up my faith in Uhaul again. The management at Uhaul should recognize be great work and give her a bonus!
Ron Eexcessive charge. I got a little less than fuel tank, returned at around 92% fuel, drove 11 miles, I was charged $22 for 4 Gallon of oil, this is insane. The agent already told me to bring full tank or else, it’s a $5.5 / gallon, did not realize I will be charged like this. This is outrageous, nonetheless, this is my last U Haul, with a worst experience l.

Michael mThe location was excellent. U-Haul's checkin web page from the phone was horrible. Could not read the screen, had to enable location services and camera, had to repeatedly switch between portrait and landscape mode and zoom to different parts of the screen to find the important parts. Did not understand the outline in the image for pictures. App would not allow accept if I did not check equipment was clean. Whose definition of clean? The trailer I picked up had portland cement dust all over the bottom of the trailer. Took a picture and noted that the trailer was not clean, but the app would not allow accept. The U-Haul check-in took 10 minutes longer than the old style checkin with a real trailer hookup employee.

Christina KI admit that I was skeptical in renting from this location, based on previous reviews, some of which were less than favorable, and as a single older woman, I was afraid that I would not be treated well. That is exactly the opposite of how I was treated. I was greeted with respect and everything was processed quickly, and the truck was in great shape. When I returned the vehicle, the young man who checked me in was polite and respectful. If people are posting negative reviews on this location then maybe they need to think about if it was because of their approach and attitude. Happiness and being kind goes a long way, especially because you don’t know what someone else could be going through.
Dora MHard to take pics of the bigger trucks when it is so space constrained, but there isn't much ya'll can do about that. So *please* take that as an observation and not criticism. Staff was wonderful!

UDAY BThe truck I had was old, the brakes were bad and I had to push them to the floor before it would start slowing down. When you accelerate it felt like the truck was going to give out completely. That truck needs serious repairs or retirement. The employees were great, convenient location and they have a lot of vehicles and trailers available. I think I just got a dud.

Ping WI was picking up the vehicle by using the app. However, the app seemed to get stuck when asking to record pics of the vehicle - it would not accept my picture. I must have tried 20 times. I had to go into the store and ask the attendant, who told me it was OK to not record pics on the app.

Ashley HI am beyond frustrated with U-Haul. I was wrongfully charged a $100 cleaning fee and accused of damaging a vehicle that was already dented when I picked it up (I have the "before" photos to prove it). When I called to resolve this, they agreed to a refund. Instead of returning my money, they processed a second $100 withdrawal from my account. I have been robbed of $200 by a company that refuses to take responsibility. Every time I call, I am "shuffled" between departments with no one willing to help. I will be filing a dispute with my bank and a formal complaint. Do not trust their app-return process; they will use it as an excuse to slap you with fraudulent fees.

CAITLIN PMy fuel charge was excessive. The gas meter was incorrect. I added 4 gallons of fuel to the truck. More than I used. And was charged. Going to send it to AMEX and let them handle.
TERENCE CFirst truck they give us, was between another truck, an you have to look for the truck by you own. Because another truck was park in front we can't move, I have to go back to the office, the employee was to lazy to go an move the truck, they change me the truck for the one infront.
ERNESTA FI have been renting from Uhaul for the past forty years. Sometimes five to six times a year. This was by far the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I realize that I was only renting an appliance dolly this time, but it took forever to pick up, the "customer service" rep, was angry to the point of being hostile (I did nothing but show up in a better mood than they were), I waited to be loaded for at least 15 minutes while the other staff ran around working on non-customer oriented issues. If I were a share holder in this organization, I would have put a sell in at 8:30 the following morning. A business run like this does not survive. Management - where are you???
Jeffrey GThe trailer bar was attached to my hitch completely wrong. I drove 287 miles dragging chains, towing post & wired b4 stopped by patrol. Caused damage & wasted time barely driving 30mph because of the way th trailer was moving. Response from manager from where I rented was RUDE.
barbra hGuest parking is sparse here, albeit you cannot do much about it. I will recommend getting dropped off when renting a van or truck.

The staff was professional, responsive, and clearly took the situation seriously. They processed the return efficiently, documented the issues with the truck without any pushback, and were helpful in guiding next steps. The location itself was organized and easy to access, and the team handled everything quickly, which I appreciated after a long-haul move. Overall, a smooth and well-managed drop-off experience.
Ronald BIt was way too crowded. People were trying to drop off and pick up at the same time. I don’t think the location supports the kind of traffic your business. The employees were nice but I am complaining about the administrative and management . There are not enough employees and not enough room. I was there for about an hour trying to pick up and over an hour trying to drop off and while the employees were nice and trying to manage it, it was too much traffic.

I searched for it with hired help, told they could not offer me another truck, then about 15 minutes later, they gave me one, without the dolly I requested. I called the same day to cancel my storage unit. The woman that answered told me not to worry, I wouldn't be charged. A month later I received an email to pay my storage bill. I called the 800 number to cancel and was assured it was done on their end and should be completed locally. Just received a late notice from local location. Had to call again. I was placed on hold a couple of times while the lady that Shana tried to figure it out. She said there was a file about me. Finally, she told me everything was taken care of. I asked for some sort of confirmation to be emailed to me. There was nothing to send to me. I'm just hoping I don't have to make another call next month.

This was because the “doors weren’t working” even though we got in by checking in at the gate and doors opened for us with no issues. Here is how this could have been a better experience: 1) add a note on your website under the store if there are issues. What if I had movers with me? 2) Identify the training gaps and train your employees. You should add how to phrase what you say to customers in your training curriculum. What matters is how you say it not what you say. Your other south austin location is even WORSE.

On site personnel should have moved my goods to a unit that was out of harms way but that didn't happen. While I was reimbursed partially for the damaged goods, more could have been done. I will not be using UHAUL in the future and would not recommend them to any friends or family.

The employees were unorganized and unprofessional. They sent me to 3 other locations through out the Dallas metro that were all closed on sundays. I was forced to take time off work on monday to move into a storage unit that was far from the original location. Very disappointed with the Uhaul Richardson staff for wasting my time and their poor attitudes. I expect more from you.

After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. This is about the dumbest thing in storage facilities I’ve ever encountered. We won’t be using this facility again for that reason alone.

Because i did the online move in, the email said my storage room was ready to access and all i had to do was enter the building which is not the case. as soon as i opened my storage room, the alarm went off because i had no card to swipe. If needing U-haul services and products in the future, this will not be the location we seek said services and products. My name isn't even spelled correctly for this account even though my wife and I were asked our names and other sensitive information several times while trying to secure a storage room.
