There was an issue where the truck leaned to the left and back on the rear wheels, even when I picked it up empty. It drove well regardless, but I suspect problems with the rear left suspension.Christian D.

I originally rented through the U-Haul website and was sent to a location at 1418 Remount Road in North Charleston. There was no one working at that location. I called the number on the sign for 1/2 hour. No one answered. I finally called U-Haul and they sent me to the Credit Union location. I see lots of complaints on line about the Remount Road location. Have safe vehicles for customers to rent. Have adequate parking for customers. Show care and concern for your customers when they point out issues with unsafe vehicles that are being rented. Show urgency to your customers and respect their time. Be professional! Vehicle is having some transmission issues and the engine achieved its running temperature too fast which indicates either an oil problem or coolant problem. Transmission was running to 3 to 4k rmp before shifting. Something staff would have no way of knowing unless they actually drove the vehicles so not their fault. There was no key when I arrived, so then got changed to a second teuck that was inside a gate that the lady didnt have access to and couldnt get me. All the while I was standing in the rain because a hurricane was coming and I got dropped off because the mobile check in gave me a truck number but no number to get my key and said I was good to get my truck. I finally got in touch with a young lady from the mobile check in who helped and sent me to a complete different location about 10 miles away but was able to fix the screw up from the previous lady and after about 3 hours I was able to get my truck.Dahmon W.

The young lady told me that I would not be charged the fueling fee of $30 and that I would only be charged $14 for the gas that I was just too close. However, I was charged $62 and I didn't thing that was fair or proper. I offered to take the truck to get the fuel gauge at its original point but was told that the fuel fee would not apply. Right from the beginning Uhaul dropped the ball. Upon calling from Massachusetts to get a delivery time was told boxes were listed as a pickup. Never set up as a pickup and nobody could explain why they were listed as being picked up. Two boxes were scheduled to be delivered on 9/15 and one on 9/21. The two boxes never arrived and the box due on 9/21 was delivered on 9/16 after 9pm. All our furniture were in the two boxes that were supposed to be delivered on 9/15 causing us to find a hotel for night. Customer service continually transferred me and nobody could explain why boxes arrived in N. Charleston on 9/12 yet did not get delivered until 9/17. Never again would we use Uhaul no recommend to anyone.Eugene F.
