The rating has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE EMPLOYEES. The employees that I talked to most recently were absolutely amazing, their personalities were contagious and absolutely delightful. I just can’t stand uhall. The price rises are praying on people’s out of sight out of mind. It’s kinda annoying to watch the price consistently rise dispute the facility most definitely being paid off. having an understanding of how much $100 is as my WEEKLY grocery bill is more than $100 pisses me off knowing some people have no choice but to store their things for extended periods of time as the units price constantly makes it more difficult to get back in the position to be able to empty out the units. This seems like a trap for people who are struggling to fix themselves financially especially in the current economy. If you want people to move out or give an extra push to keep the occupancy more manageable, try starting with text notifications or at least some kinda of reminder for people about the unit they have. So would I refer uhall to a friend? no. Maybe to my worst enemy but even then I’d feel guilty.DAVID B. | Overall Experience
The mileage in the truck was different than the mileage on the contract; the amount of gas said â€œfullâ€ and it had just above a quarter of a tank of gas. The truck could be started without a key. All of this was documented with pictures by their staff, then the lady tried to charge us $407 for a 6-hour rental- charged us for furniture pads and a dolly that we never had- plus $67 for fuel she KNEW from her employer's picture was not in the truck. She also tried to say we kept the truck from 1:33 pm until 10:30 am even though we had time stamped pictures showing it was back before 7:30 pm and charged us $20 for turning it in late. Fortunately, the person who was at the call center was able to rectify everything and bring the cost back to where it should have been. In over 30 years of using U-haul trucks; this was the worst experience ever. I will never rent from this location again.Renee M.

My contract specified that I should return the trailer to Rusty's Inspection Express 3718 Troup Hwy, Tyler TX. When I arrived, the owner categorically refused to accept the trailer. Not only was he extremely rude, he did not even have the courtesy to help me turn around and leave his premises. Another customer helped me do this. I called U-Haul, but their customer service was useless. I was driving and attempting to find another place to drop off the trailer so I could not use uhaul.com. Finally, I remembered another U-Haul location on the other side of town. I took it to U-Haul Moving & Storage of Rose City, where an employee, Dezerae, was extremely helpful. She got me checked in and the trailer dropped off in just a few minutes. Rusty's should have its franchise revoked. Dezerae should get a bonus!David E.

The staff was generally rude and unfriendly and acted as if I was bothering them by renting a truck. I looked the truck over, took pictures and did the same upon return. I only had the truck for four hours and returned it in better (cleaner) shape than I received it. The next day, I received an email saying I left a dent and the estimated damages were $375. I took the insurance option but in my opinion this is nothing short of insurance fraud and they should be investigated for a crime.Chris F.

I made pickup reservations for 6am so I had to get there early for self pick up â€¦ I couldn't get my key because the code wasn't working for the box so I have to wait til 7 for the worker and when she gets there a few minutes before 7 I was about to go inside thinking she would help and she said we're not open til 7. I ended up loosing an hour for my reservation so in total I was waiting an hour and a half for me to get a uhaul that had breaking issues and makes really loud engine noises but over all at least I got my belongings from point A to point BShariah W.

Uhual smelled like smoke, check engine light and oil light was on. And it said there was a low tire. I did not feel safe driving that truck that was rented to meJenni B.

I reserved large truck, called to get it early and was available. I didn't get to make it early and upon arrival at regular time, I was told nothing reserved for me. A female gave me smallest truck because nothing else available. Upon return the next day, my reserved truck never left the lot and the one I should have reserved ,never left the lot and was not insured. This was a drop off truck from another state. Mgr apologized and charged for rental only and 9 cent for mileage. We had to make 3 trips because of the size.Carma C.

I was delayed 30 minutes because they insisted on physically talking with a contact before letting me leave with a trailer that had already been paid in full. Are you kidding me? Never, ever have I had this issue. After all of that, they did not even ask to see my drivers license. I will never use this location again.
