No clear signage when dropping off equipment. Stood in line for close to 45 minutes to be helped before one of the employees asked for the person who belonged to the trailer and car outside. I told them it was me. He unhooked the trailer and said he would check it in later. He said I did not have to wait in line to return equipment. No signs posted with that information.Todd G.

Truck was in very bad shape. Shocks were shot, steering was very loose and the truck walked all over the road. Check engine light came on after driving 5 miles. Felt unsafe to drive.ROBERT G.

Had a 9:00 appointment was told it would take 2 hours. Was told to keep my phone on me as they would call me when my car was ready. At 12:30 I had to call them. They then told me there was a problem with the car in front of me but they would call me as soon as my car was ready. At 3:00 I had to call again at which time they said my car had been ready for a while. But no one at your location had the time to call me as they were busy.Deborah O.

Having carts to help move is the best ever. Clean and safe storage. Easy move out procedure. You could use another ramp to move from the truck to storage units. It’s fine if you’ve rented a large truck but the smaller trucks and trailers need to use the narrow ramp to get into the building.kelly s. | Overall Experience
More staff are needed. Some of the staff seemed new and it appeared that they did not have the time needed to train them (even though they were trying to figure out what to do). There are staffing shortages nationwide so this may be the reason for this situation.RHONDA V.
For overall process you need to notify people of equipment location sooner. I reserved in Georgetown and drove to that location only to find out that my trailer was in RoundRock. This added about 45 minutes to my busy day due to traffic. Also, I drove right past this exit on my way to Georgetown. Uhaul emailed me but it was 30 minutes before scheduled pick up time and while I was driving and not able to check emailDARRELL A.

Returned truck on Friday, July 23 and had to go in person July 25 bc they never answered the phones and apparently never checked the truck back in on Friday. The manager said they were going to check it in July 26. Absolutely unacceptable. Then we had a reservation for a storage unit at this location for a 10x15 and they didn't have it when we got there. Absolutely the worst Uhaul experience from pick up to turn in and having no reserved storage unit, they should had told us a week or two before.Michael B.

I don't like that I signed to pay for the truck ahead of time only to find my name printed with a long list of other things that I was not allowed to read before I signed. Because of excessive traffic on southbound on I-35, I ended up 15 minutes later than the time I had estimated for return. That DOUBLED my daily rental price. Twice the charge for an extra 15 minutes. If this is the way U-haul works, I'll be looking to find another company for moving.Stephen S.

The young lady that helped me was awesome!! An absolute star of a team member for UHaul. I have to say though that the return process after hours was a pain! Assistant Manager Bobby was incredibly rude and unprofessional. If I hadn't really needed the trailer I would have left. At one point I was scared as he acted like he was going to fight me. He then tried to blame the young lady working for the problems by telling me she was new (it wasn't her fault at all, it was his) I waited on your phone line for over 20 minutes to file a complaint about how rude he was but had to go before it was answered. The only thing I would like to see is an opening for those of us who have finished the checkout process and either exit through the front door or exit through that side door near the outdoor closing part. As we exit, we pass through the waiting line when all that has to be done is make an opening over by the windows. Everything else is great, clean store and wonderful folks.Joshua E.

The Truck blew a spark plug, lost air conditioning, and sucked gas because didn't shift well. The truck broke down leaving us in Gulfport< MS. I had to switch trucks just after I filled it up, and then got shafted because next truck only had 9/16 of a tank. I lost a whole day of travel, but was charged 2 extra days of use. I've used uhaul for moving and storage over the past 2 years. They are very easy to work with and in my opinion facilities for storage are way better than the rest (especially in Manchester nh). There was some confusion about the dimensions of the unit. It was tall when I assumed it was long. The staff was helpful in changing me to a different size that better met our needs. Unfortunately, moving a large piece of furniture into the unit was difficult based on the hallway size and needing to turn several corners. My husband and I were able to manage it, but it was more complicated than imagined. The handcarts would have been very helpful if we had been able to to turn corners with them and the furniture. Again, our issue, but something for others to consider when accepting a unit. We utilized a shoulder dolly system (one we own, but are available for sale in the check-out area) and that was far more helpful.Kristine B. | Online Move In

Staff must be able to answer phone calls. Having to put up with very long hold time with the call center is a very negative experience and is what I will also tell anyone who asks. All staff needs is for a person to have a portable phone with them. This would enhance the customer experience.
