3 visits in the last 2 weeks and I waited over 40 min each time to be helped , 1st time I left without being helped had to return the next morning the last time I waited over 40 min to check in my Ben rental which should have been a 5 min ordeal considering it was a mobile van share p/u and return , an that’s just for starts ..

Normally this is my favorite and only location due to how well maintained it is. I rent a couple times a month for years. This time, customer service wasn’t great. Lots of people standing around, 1 guy doing all the work. I’ve decided I’ll just buy my own trailer at this point because I don’t want to deal with renting anymore. There used to be a great staff there. It has quickly gone downhill. Screen your people better and pay the good ones more so you have less turnover. You have a few good prior doing everything and then the majority are do nothings stealing a wage. Good luck.

The line wait is excessive a lot of the time. However, the reps at the desk are always pleasant, helpful, and don’t seem to get ruffled even when customers aren’t so pleasant. The indoor is well worth the storage fee. When though this location is not the closest or most convenient to my house, I go out of my way to give my business to this location.

Please let this include the other stores I had to drive to and dispatch. The Peoria store is fine, that probably the only good experience I had was the drop off. Your dispatch and your stores DO NOT communicate at all. All dispatch does is put in a reservation. The "leaving notes for stores" is complete bs. Prior to arriving at this location I was told that to accommodate me for not having what I needed I would get a 26ft truck for the price of a 20ft. We'll I got charged for a 26ft and when I asked about the note left the lady just shrugged at me and said "I dunno". I put in a reservation for a truck 2 weeks prior to my move just for uhaul to make it the worst moving experience I have ever had less than 24 hours before my move. Every corrective action has just been a headache for me at their convenience. My trip costed significantly more for the truck and the extra money I had to pay in gas. To my knowledge they do not intend to compensate anything even though a regional manager is involved. I say this whole heartedly...fuck you guys from the bottom of my heart.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of renting a U-Haul van to move my Mothers household items from her home into an assisted living community. When I first called I tried a location close to my home and was on hold for an extended period of time. I then called the location on 3900 S 55 E SLC UT and was greeted by Dixie immediately. She is so professional, courteous and extremely kind and such a pleasure to speak to. I asked her if I could come to see the rental to decide which would be a better fit for the move. She accommodated my request with kindness and even allowed us to change the vehicle when we arrived for pick up. Also, I had to change the pick up time three different times and was allowed with no complaints and with sincere understanding with Dixie and two other representatives. I can not express how much my husband and I enjoyed our experience and how welcomed we felt with your company and specifically with Dixie and her amazing personality and demeanor. She is an exceptional individual and not only were we happy to do business with her but enjoyed meeting a new friend and will always remember her kindness and consideration that she embodies. It is very rare that you meet an individual as special as she is. Your company is blessed to have her and I hope that she is recognized for her undeniable talents in customer service, for it is not seen in very many companies any longer. I also noticed when she was working with other customers she had the same professionalism and personality that showed us what an outstanding person she really is. Not enough staff for customers, but the counter help did his best with what he had to work with. Multiple personnel were cleaning the worn out floor while customers stood waiting. I couldn't rent a truck to go to California, with the trailer that I rented and so I went to Enterprise for a vehicle. Just a weird experience, similar to a third world country. Totally disorganized.

I move my storage to another facility. Customer service skills. This company is lacking all always. So rude. Always hanging the phone up never could get a direct straight answer. The young lady name is Amanda, she needs to. Go to a class on how to assist minority people. She's beyond rude. There's no words to Express how she treated me. First arrived there from out-of-state. There was a young lady by the name of Dorothy. She was the most beautiful soul I have ever met. That tired of people hanging up.I would rather move my items to another facility? And cheaper only reason why I stayed here. My brother is upper management for U-haul in Las Vegas Nevada. That's the only reason why.

Love the wider hallways! Made pushing the carts and big pieces of furniture much easier. Moving is hard and it felt super easy to haul things back and forth. Amanda-Jean is clearly someone staff are comfortable calling on for help and she willingly and patiently gives it. She is also supportive and encouraging to her clients. She’s sympathetic to whatever circumstance may require the service you offer. My only complaint is not making smaller units more accessible (no stairs…or an elevator). The lack of that “forces” me (a 69-yr-old woman), into the more expensive unit. This is disappointing and feels discriminatory.

There were issues with the security system which delayed us moving in on time on Tuesday night (after hours). On Wednesday morning all of the staff were as helpful as they could be to get all our questions answered and out of there as quickly as possible. My first contact was Nick, he was helpful. Upon arrival that afternoon owner was helpful.The unit choice limited and my new unit was far from the door. Movers count steps and it was $1.00 per step, that was unfortunate. But the Semi-trailer had zero issues backing up to the access doors. The 11 steps up to the unit were not too challenging but for movers (&my bad knees) it can be an issue. 👍🏼 However, the woman, who had taken some time to show me another closer but larger unit, as she was tidying up another two units that woman was absolutely amazing. I wish I could remember her name. I’m looking forward to not having to worry about the unit or the security.

Checked out before my month was up and then I received lien notices about paying for the next month. Took hours to get a hold of someone- finally had to go down to talk to someone. The location is already difficult to get to with a gate and 2 boxes that you need a card to access each and every time you take a load from your belongings, but all of the staff is in training. Meaning, no one on staff understands that a nightly walk through to see what storage units have vacated that day is not optional. Every day. When I arrived they did not know which units were available, and a month after I moved out they attempted to charge me 2 times on a one months free storage that was only used for approximately 12 days, but less than 19 days with our a doubt. Know which units have vacated is the main goal.

This was a drive up storage rental. The reason we rented here was because of the easy drive up access. Without any communication to renters, they put a wall up and no longer allowed drive up access. They also raised the rent for now less services. Staff was unhelpful when asking why this was happening and then the location to enter the storage was completely moved to the opposite side of the building, again without any communication or notice to renters. This was a horrible renting experience and has potentially caused me to never return to uhaul again. I Will never recommend this location to anyone.

Due to this facility's remodeling plans, my tight deadline to get things into storage and the winter weather/storms, putting my things in storage here became one more stress that I didn't need. Day 1: I was informed that the big garage door was inoperable and I'd have to use a small, residential-home sized door to bring my things in. Didn't realize that there's a pretty big step to get into and out of that door and there's no ramp. I witnessed one man try to maneuver a flat-bed cart out of the parking lot up that step, and as he leaned his body weight into it, the stop stopped him immediately causing the cart's handle to jam into his torso/ribs/gut. That's a safety issue. Also, someone else pointed out having one door and not ramp is not ADA compliant. Day 2: The card scanners had been removed. Evidently this was out of the control of the employees who work there. I had try other doors and go around the building and wait in line for several minutes then ask an employee to let me in to the only working door that leads to my unit. The door was propped open with a wooden block. This did not feel secure in any way. There were other things that were inconvenient or annoying. Why was I automatically assigned a unit up 12 steps/stairs? I ended up donating a heavy $230 weight bench because I am moving alone and lugging that thing solo up and down 12 steps was the last straw for me. Anyway, the staff was friendly under the circumstances and did their best, but the remodeling situation over there requires a lot more time and patience than I have right now. I ended up renting a unit at Cubes which is comparatively convenient, well designed, accessible when they say they are. Cubes is also gated and even has elevators for people who have storage space on the upper floors. I hope the remodel goes well, but in the meantime, it's probably better to fully inform customers of what the remodel will mean for them. I definitely appreciate the free month they generously gave me though!

Customer service was not there by Amanda. I’ve always have had a great experience, until yesterday. It made my trip across country end frustrated. No one wants to drive 32 miles across country and have to deal with the attitude Amanda displayed yesterday. The map indicates "drive thru" loading/unloading. However, there is not a drive thru. I went in with a trailer and had to back out. You should update your facility map to indicate one way in and out.

We were at your location just before 8p. Your staff was very helpful. It would have been more convenient for us to use the drive in drop off. I did call ahead and was told I would have access if I got there by 8p. I did have access (through the man-door) but we would have come sooner had we known about the cutoff time for the drive in - or even know anything about it at all. It's such a great service! My only comment would be to communicate a little more info to those who make the effort to call in. I didn't know to ask the questions. Otherwise, I was super impressed with your staff.

The associate, Natasha vasquez, was very helpful. She was compassionate and understanding in my situation and was able to get me into a unit that was suitable for my needs. She also was able to arrange for me to drop off my uhaul truck at her store as it was scheduled to drop off at a different location. The people that I spoke with on the phone, the reservation people were not that nice. They acted as if they had somewhere else to be, lost my order and when I tried giving them my reservation number, he acted as though he didn’t even want it. Very rude on the phone. But when we got down to the storage facility, the Uhaul people were very helpful and showed me how to use the card and showed me where my storage was. I wasn't expecting my staff to be there in the storage but finally I received a call from U-Haul customer that I still have my staff in their storage and I went there to get it all and they were still there since 2019 up to now.

When I arrived for storage the staff gave me too small of a unit because they assumed my trailer was a smaller size than it actually was and I had reserved a bigger unit in advance. If they had looked at my account and reservation to begin with they would've seen the trailer was a 6x12. After unloading a few items I knew it was too small so they said they were overbooked by ten units and didn't have a bigger size. I reserved everything in advance so after they looked on computer and me telling them I absolutely need a bigger unit they magically had my original size available. When I moved out and closed out the unit on Dec 1st they could not find my storage unit under my name. They had put both my first name with my emergency contacts name. So the guy who originally put my info in the computer messed up and did not even seemed like he wanted to be there or was new but none of this is my problem. I was glad to have had the free first month because I definitely wouldn't have wanted to pay for all these unnecessary employee errors. I won't recommend this location and won't be going back.

My only feedback is that hallways are narrow and doors not very wide or high enough. Also there is no elevator to the second floor.

Everyone inside were so nice and helpful They gavee unit 1818 which was a end unit after driving _ days from NH to ut. Couldn't of been happier with the service and the way they helped us in a time of need

In the beginning it was excellent but as time went by I attempted several times to get a hold of the site manager, Steve Bendixson, by phone (almost every time it went to a customer service person not on site despite the phone number being supposedly to the store and that c.s. person said they would email Steve but I never got a reply, by email (only responses came during the last few months but generally meant my still having to go to the store --I had asked that he phone me as I use a wheelchair and now live quite a bit away and have to use public transportation). When I moved 1/2 of my belongings to a smaller unit I wasn't told I no longer had 24 hrs access so ended up making a trip to move the last of belongings out for nothing with volunteers. So score at beginning of lease until July of 2020 would have been a 5/5 stars then it slowly dropped and by the last month it was down to 1/5 but after a call to corporate office with the complaint Steve emailed me (again I had to go down because of his not calling which wasted almost 45 minutes of my time as this could have been done in the phone call) I would say it was at a 1.5 star. I am also at a loss as to why my unit had a padlock on it for supposedly lack of payment but my bill was current (luckily I had checked my unit during one of those having to come in person trips just before I took the last out and went and got Steve to look as he didn't believe me telling him of the presence of the special lock and posted notice). Your phone system needs updating to include a way to speak with the store directly and if someone has questions about the storage unit.

I have never been so stereesed out in my life I live in Orem drive here 3 times and u guys had no storage fir me finally gave me one upstairs 5x5?it didn’t fit so I still have my stuff in their getting another storage it’s been a night mare 3 days it took to get a 5 x 5

Your Staff was not helpful. Would not work with us in some special circumstances. Told us we were all set and would make it work for us so we were ok with the price. Then to find out they did not help in any way....... Not Happy!

For the space like a "less than a small closet size" the cost is too high and should remain I feel around $70-75. I would pay that as I was there over 20 years and felt even $99 was too high, when the increase to so much higher was made and deadline the 27th is why I had to find another place to store my piano and only a few inches of space left for christmas village boxes of ceramics too high in cost when on a fixed social security of $900

We rented the unit at the start of the pandemic to store items my son didn’t need at home when the university closed. The staff made us feel comfortable renting and leaving items. They were awesome anytime they saw my son come in or out. If we need storage again, we will be back! Thank you.

The csrs did not provide information that would have been a deal breaker for me and caused me to spend extra money. They were helpful with basic knowledge but information one really needs to have a satisfactory experience was lacking.

I haul experience was great. At the end of our move we had a problem with a delay in access to our new home. It wa Sunday, it was time to turn in the trailer and my stress level was going up. Lucky for me, Shanna was the one working that day. Her calm, efficient handling of my problems was spectacular. She is a tribute to your office. I cannot praise her performance enough. The only thing I was displeased with was that we had reserved our truck a month or more in advance from a location near our home and it ended up not being available and we had to drive an hour away for a truck a day later. But they did give a little discount and people were very friendly and the storage unit was great.

I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his staff. The young lady who seems to be in charge when Steve isnt there is amazing as well. We had some tough times because of Covid like thousands of other people. They were so kind and helpful and so willing to work w us on anything we needed. I work in the service industry and these two people made uhaul look like the best company for moving hands down. They both deserve recognition and raises. Kudos to the staff at 3900 south state street in Salt Lake City. They are above and beyond truly amazing at what they do. Cheers!

I had such a bad experience in Ogden I was tired and stressed and had a truck load that was supposed to be stored in Ogden They did not have my reserved 10x10 They were of no help I drove back to Murray where I was supposed to return the truck and they could not help I couldn’t return the truck it still had my load It was almost closing and you were kind and helpful and I thank you
