When we got there, there was only one person helping people. About 15 minutes later a woman came in ranting about how “she knew she was almost an hour late” and continued to vent while she started to help customers. The man that helped us was nice enough, but pretty much pushed us out the door because of how busy it was. We received our truck with less gas than what the paper stated, and drove less than 20 miles with it. The gas gauge was the same as when we picked it up, and I was still charged over $50 dollars for gas and a fee, which no one told me about. When we went to drop it off there were trucks lined up to the street, no where to pull in, and the man that helped return my truck was incredibly rude when I asked if we were in the correct spot and if we needed t wait or go inside to return the truck. I would honestly NOT recommend this store to anyone.

Joshua AWe were dropping off a 6x12 trailer and we pulled in from the opposite side and could have used some larger signage about where to go as we had to drive around the other side. Thankfully, there was someone working there,. even though it was 7pm and we thought we were dropping after hours. Once we were on the other side, he was there and very helpful. Seamless so other than a minute trying to figure out where to drop the trailer, it was very stress free rental.

And the amount of mileage u haul allowed where I ran over by 20 miles, again u haul does not allow enough mileage for a 5 day rental. Mike FI have nothing but great things to say about the people that work at this location, but the issues we had was trying to secure our storage unit. The computer was telling them units were open and available when we went to the unit they were not so I don’t think it was any fault of the people. I think it was more a fault of the technology. I spent way too much money paying people to unpack my 20 foot truck into a storage unit that took 2 hours to secure before they could start.

LEONARD GThis location is a joke. Hard to get to, lot packed full of equipment. When I drove up to return, I parked in RETURN line and stayed with equipment as instructed. There was so much equipment I couldn't see entrance or any movement of people. After sitting there for 15 minutes, went inside to find NO ONE around. Shouting HELLO several times. I finally entered a shop area to shout HELLO again and finally find someone who told me someone should be around. Finally finding someone, walked to my equipment in silence, he unhooked my trailer, said "your good" and I left. Terrible experience. I have been to this location twice before - same experience. NEVER AGAIN.

Ray FThe exact mileage is incorrect in U-Haul‘s computer system program. I drove directly from the pick up location to my home and directly from my home to the Sioux Falls U-Haul and they charge me for an additional 9 miles. Not happy and when I asked him about it. He got super angry defensive and asked me if I could read because I signed the effing contract. very unprofessional not happy.
Mark BI returned the trailer and 6 furniture pads to the U-Haul location just off of 11th Street at 3:45 Pm on Saturday 4-18 The person taking in the equipment told me that I didn’t need to go into the office to return the trailer. I then gave him the folded furniture pads in the plastic bag. I asked if he wanted them placed in the trailer. He said no and that he would take care of them. He then threw them on top of the trailer. He than said he would take care of everything and we could head out. I took a picture of the trailer with the bag of pads on top of the trailer. Today Monday 4-20 I checked an email that was sent by U-Haul stating that I had a new invoice for after hours drop off and missing/damaged equipment. I contacted the location and they have stated that they have refunded my card but it will take up to 2 days for the funds to be returned. I’m not sure what happened between me dropping off the equipment/pads and the pads going missing but I have a picture of them on top of the trailer after they were placed their by the U-Haul employee. I’m also not sure why I was charged for an after hours drop off when I delivered it directly to an employee at 3:45 pm on Saturday 4-18. It was well before the 7:00 pm closing time. According to the invoice it was not checked in until 11:22 am Sunday 4-19. To improve I would say when an employee checks in equipment from a customer that they complete the return process in a timely manner so their customers don’t receive extra unwarranted charges.
David APeople were nice. Equipment was in rough shape. The trailer jack, was broken, driver side front tandem tire was worn to the wear bars and wouldn't meet DOT. Driver side of trailer had running lights non functional. Again, would fail a DOT. Ratchet's on front of trailer were rusted tight. I soaked them 3-4 times with penetrating fluid to get them partially functional. Had to chain my load down rather than use the straps. Returned it a day early, still charged for full 3 days. Pretty poor experience.

IVAN VThe Sioux Falls sales associate was amazing. However, he did grab us the wrong adapter for the lights, so we had to stop frequently on the way to Omaha to resecure the attachment. The Omaha location said there was no way to address this, so we were a little bit frustrated about that. The system was down, so there was also not a good way to get confirmation that we returned the trailer right then, we had to trust that they'd get it correctly logged later. Thankfully no issues, but I didn't love having any proof that we returned the trailer.

The storage unit also had a wet floor and I suspect maybe ceiling was leaking because it rained on that day that I was moving in. I moved a bunch of clothes into that storage that I sell so hoping they don't get damaged by rain if the ceiling is truly leaking. Now the storage facility itself had a horrible bathroom smell because the bathroom door was just wide open and quite evidently unkept. It was hard to breath in there honestly. I hadn't already booked it I would've gone somewhere else just because of that smell.

When i arrived, I see what looks like an office with glass windows, I was concerned about going in because there was a man camped out in front of the door who appeared to be on drugs. Just a Kiosk that tells you, you need to check in online and have renatl insurance paperwork. I drove to the U Haul right around the corner and explained to Tyler, why I was so upset, He was very kind,understanding and professional. He took care of me by offering me a unit on site, the original address I first called. I appreciate the remedy but think Management needs to inform their employees to disclose the unmanned conditions of the property and to direct woman and the elderly to the manned site if available.

First of all, the design of the new storage units attached to the main building creates a situation where the entry to my storage unit is blocked with return U-Haul trucks every time I try to access it. Beyond that this U-Haul location is understaffed. So there is no one to help move the trucks out of the way. In addition, I first rented my unit online via the U-Haul website and when I showed up they did not have a unit of my size available. I understand this to be a corporate U-Haul issue and not a local problem. It seems corporate is creating issues and leaving it to the local U-Haul to solve it. I will not be renting from U-Haul again and I would strongly recommend against it to anyone I come into contact with

It was a Very very VERY loooong drive :/ I was offered a one month storage unit free of charge and when I arrived to turn in the trailer and unload our stuff.. I found out there was only an upstairs unit available at the drop off location I had picked 😳😳😱 ...I was totally overwhelmed at the thought of hauling everything we own up the stairs on my own and already exhausted from the long drive with wild kids 😩🥴 the lady that was helping us went out of her way to arrange a unit at a different location to accommodate and I am beyond grateful!! I almost cried the happy tears!!! Grateful, impressed, and sooo relived <3 I missed this kind of interaction that comes with living in the Midwest and it was a really great first experience with being back home. Thank you!!!

There was a UHaul lock on my storage unit, which I fully understand, but it wasn't taken off even weeks after I caught up the payment. An employee came up with me, told me he would go look for the key, and left me sitting there without returning for over a half hour. I left, and when I returned a couple of weeks after that, the lock was still there despite payments being all caught up. I was so relieved to get my things out of the storage unit and never deal with this location again.
