Your mobile app is worthless. It does not save any time. It misrepresents how much "time" it will save you. I think it makes the process worse. Pick up was much slower than I think it should have been. Drop off was a breeze. The staff was always great and professional.
Let a customer know what to do if the internet checkin doesn't work to return vehicle. I was charged $20 cuz i was unable to checkin my vehicle return online even though i called customer service immediately to tell them the issue. The clerk at checkin was very quick and even said they always have issues with online system! Plus i was almost mugged leaving the parking lot to return to my car. Glad i carry a firearm! The uhaul reaked of cologne to the point i had to roll down the windows to breathe and it is only 34Â°! Overall very disappointed with uhaul!
Absolutely awful! Supposed to do contactless pickup and the first 7 trucks were no where to be found, then there was one person working with a line of at least 8 people. He couldn't find a truck, then had to go find someone who had all the keys, then when he asked us how many miles we were going and we told him, he put a hold for 50 miles on it even though we told him 20 because we calculated it. We will not be back.
Tried to use the contact-less method but it would not work. Apparently you could not "verify my location" although i was standing in the U-Haul building. The employee was very helpful and professional but it was frustrating to have to stand and wait in line when I had done all you told me to ahead of time.

Funny thing happened, the truck we were supposed to use "disappeared". It was found but it gave us a good laugh after waiting in line for about 20 minutes for customer service.
I walked in to do the paper work for the return, and by the time I walked out with an employee to unhook the trailer, a fella had already unhooked it, cleared me after inspection of the trailer, smiled and just said â€œhave a great day!â€ Whole return took less than 5 minutes. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Well Done!

This was not the location I was supposed to pick up my trailer so had to spend extra time and miles to get my trailer. Office was understaffed but once I got through line was efficient
What a crappy experience and crappy customer service. You guys suck. I literally rented a $15 trailer for an afternoon and I've got almost $50 out of my bank account right now due to complete employee incompetence in charging the right amount or reversing a charge without charging me again. U haul blows ball's and I'll never use them again.
I made a reservation on a Thurs for both truck and car transport for pick up on Saturday. Saturday came and I was only able to get the truck but the car transport was in another city not ready had to wait until Sunday then only to find they had the same one sitting on the lot the whole time. The truck was so dirty inside and out windows had not been clean delayed my leaving as even the trailer had to have a tire put on. The guys none knew what they were doing not happy at all with the customer service they all need training.
Pick up was great all were helpful. When we returned trailer the individual who checked it in - did not get his name - was SO rude. I could not believe how terrible his customer service was. Terrible employee interaction with us.
I booked online and only needed a one way truck. I got to this site and was told that it had been changed and got a call today asking when I was going to return the truck. It was dropped on in Madison like o arranged with Sioux Falls and a phone call was made to make sure I could drop it off. OMG. I hate the website and the store isn't much better. I did get a call saying o had I face returned the truck and would not be charged anything. Good thing because it wasn't my fault.
All good each time I needed a truck.
The only two improvements I can suggest:: 1. hire more staff so the wait is not so long for service 2. wash the windows inside and out.
I have been a customer at this U-Haul site since 2001. The staff has changed over many times during that time, of course, but the culture of hiring helpful people is very strong.
Parking lot was so crowded with equipment it was hard to maneuver!
The pick up reeked of smoke and there is no smoking signs all over on the truck. I don't smoke so that smell is not good. On the local level they did a great on the regional level it was a nightmare. An associate and I believe a supervisor because she said she was the boss Kylie was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She called me at 1pm Saturday and said our equipment was suppose to be returned. I replied no I got the $19.85 a day truck with estimated 60 miles I was going to put on it because I was moving just down the street yesterday at 4pm. I was charged $77 for Friday 4pm to Saturday 4pm. Kylie replied that's not what my screen says. I explained again to Kylie I paid $77 for the one day. I said it cost $77 for 4 hours. She said no you're getting charged for mileage too. I said I moving in town and told the Uhaul associate I would most likely put 60 miles on the truck. And Kylie said well that's not what my screen. She repeated this honestly 8 to 9 times. That's not what my screen says, that's not my screen says. I told her I know what your screen says because you have said it 9 times. Never did she say hey well let me look into this or try to rectify the situation or any problem solving but just continued to say that's not what my screen says. My 3 year old daughter Doesn't repeat herself as much. I said I want to talk to a supervisor she said I am the boss and I said you shouldn't you be. Terrible customer service and problem solving instead she just continued to say that's not what my screen says. I said you can't contact the local Uhaul and get to the bottom of this or see my transaction and what I paid and she continued to say honest to God that's not what my screen says. She shouldn't be in the position she's in or deal with your customers. So as soon as I hung up she turned around and dinged my bank account with another $41. I called back and said what are you doing. She once again says my screen says you were only suppose to have it for 4 hours. I said I got charged $77 for 4 hours she once again said thats for mileage. I said in town under 60 miles a $19.85 day for 4 hours cost $77. And once again she said that's what my screen says. Ridiculous. Immature, rude and angry. On the local level they did great on the regional level I would not have Kylie in the position she is in dealing with your customers and hopefully repeat customers but not with someone like Kylie there.
Did not have equipment that was requested and instead wanted me to drive 3 hours away to MN in the opposite direction of where we were moving to in order to pick it up. There was equipment available in Sioux City IA, why wasn't I directed there instead? Why did we as customers need to scramble to search for our own stuff? Worst customer service I've ever had and I'll tell everyone never to rent from you again! Thanks! Have a great day!
