I was given a tow trailer with bald tires. After the first blow out, the road service guy said that 2 other tires were bald and would not get me the 1800 more miles I had to go to my destination. Thank God they did, at the U-Haul destination they said it should have never been put in the road and had to change the tires out. So much for safetyKaren K.
At pick up, only one service clerk was available. Had to wait an unnecessary amount of time. Learned from other customer 24 hour rental was an option and learned from other customer when i cud return the vehicle. which greatly reduced my stress level. The dollet was bolted down and no took was provided to unbolt it so that was a pain in the ass. Upon returning in. The guy that checked us in was clearly overlwhelmed and vocalized his stress level.Theresa C.
I rented a 6x12 trailer for a quick trip into MN to move family furniture to my home in Sioux Falls. The single daily rate was very acceptable, one could not own a similar trailer for that price.Glen M.

This is the absolute best location! The staff are incredible. I had reserved a truck at another location: the gas tank was empty and tire pressure was incredibly low (35 instead of 80). We popped into this location for help with the air pressure, and found that there was a leak. Gage advised I take the truck back, get a refund and head back over. They had a truck waiting! I dropped off the rental on a Sunday night and put the key in their lock box. On Wednesday, they called to find out where the key had been put, which I had put in their lock boxes. They charged me 3 extra days for the rental even though I had dropped off the vehicle early.Diane P.

Trailer was in good shape and worked very well. It wasn't swept out before we got it. It had concrete, rock debris that we swept out when we got it home. This was a minor issue and won't deter us from using U-Haul in the future. The reservation system and checkout were very good.James L.

Absolutely Nothing!!! I started to U-Haul in 2018, until this year. Very Respectful Young Workers and Very Knowledgeable. Very Clean Facilities and Equipment All times!!! I will be using that Facility as long as I am in in the area. I used it to move to the outside of town, Now I am using it to move back in Sioux falls SD. The car we towed looked like it was all secure on the trailer when we left Sioux Falls. After about 6 hours of driving, when we were getting gas, my husband noticed the tire nets had fallen off of the tires and I said thankfully the chain was attached underneath the car! I looked under the car and the chains were not attached anywhere so here we were driving down the road with our Corvette just sitting on the trailer!! Thankfully we got the tire nets on and my husband crawled under the car to secure the chains and we continued down the road! The tire nets never came off after we replaced them! Sioux Falls had better do some training for their employees so these things don't happen to other people because it could have been a disaster!William H.

The location I used is great but needs more room out in lot. You probably know this already. Was a tight fit in there with lots of equipment parked everywhere. Process was quick and easy and I just really appreciate being able to rent a pickup for a few hours for less than $50. So thank you for being here.Michelle S.

The wait to return the equipment was longer than expected. Nobody was at the counter, once the kid came back he took the keys and told me they would just email me my receipt. When I got my receipt they had charged me for a second day when I had the equipment return around 45 min before my 24 hours. One of my Uboxes had issues. One was built POORLY that the clasp lock wasnt installed correctly therefore I could not secure my Ubox at midnight when i was done loading for the night. That really PISSED ME OFF! I had to do a workaround at midnight!Mike W.

A storage unit by phone and was given a different address. I drove there to check in and unload. When i arrived, I see what looks like an office with glass windows, I was concerned about going in because there was a man camped out in front of the door who appeared to be on drugs. I left my valuables in the car and quickly proceeded to the office. This address is 201 S.West Ave Sioux Falls 57104. Once inside, There is no one there, no office. Just a Kiosk that tells you, you need to check in online and have renatl insurance paperwork. Clearly too much hassel for a storage unit, but, most alarming was the desolate building with no personnel! I drove to the U Haul right around the corner and explained to Tyler, why I was so upset, He was very kind,understanding and professional. He took care of me by offering me a unit on site, the original address I first called. I appreciate the remedy but think Management needs to inform their employees to disclose the unmanned conditions of the property and to direct woman and the elderly to the manned site if available.SUSAN L. | First Impressions

While most of the staff at this U-Haul location were friendly and helpful, corporate U-Haul is doing them a huge disservice. First of all, the design of the new storage units attached to the main building creates a situation where the entry to my storage unit is blocked with return U-Haul trucks every time I try to access it. Beyond that this U-Haul location is understaffed. So there is no one to help move the trucks out of the way. In addition, I first rented my unit online via the U-Haul website and when I showed up they did not have a unit of my size available. I understand this to be a corporate U-Haul issue and not a local problem. It seems corporate is creating issues and leaving it to the local U-Haul to solve it. I will not be renting from U-Haul again and I would strongly recommend against it to anyone I come into contact withKatie H. | First Impressions
I made a move across the country with 4 kids by myself... It was a Very very VERY loooong drive :/ I was offered a one month storage unit free of charge and when I arrived to turn in the trailer and unload our stuff.. I found out there was only an upstairs unit available at the drop off location I had picked 😳😳😱 ...I was totally overwhelmed at the thought of hauling everything we own up the stairs on my own and already exhausted from the long drive with wild kids 😩🥴 the lady that was helping us went out of her way to arrange a unit at a different location to accommodate and I am beyond grateful!! I almost cried the happy tears!!! Grateful, impressed, and sooo relived <3 I missed this kind of interaction that comes with living in the Midwest and it was a really great first experience with being back home. I had a ton of interactions with the staff at this location and only had two good experiences. The worst was when I had previously had a late payment. There was a UHaul lock on my storage unit, which I fully understand, but it wasn't taken off even weeks after I caught up the payment. An employee came up with me, told me he would go look for the key, and left me sitting there without returning for over a half hour. I left, and when I returned a couple of weeks after that, the lock was still there despite payments being all caught up. I was so relieved to get my things out of the storage unit and never deal with this location again.mikayla n. | Overall Experience
Completely unprofessional and wrong that someone pays for 30 days with no other option and moves out early, maybe due to a change in circumstance and they don't get reimbursed for any of the amount they were required to pay but didnt use. My initial phone conversations were very helpful but when I got confirmations on everyting the size of my unit was wrong. I called 2X and when I got there it was still not correct. Your employee on site (Tyler?) was excellant to work with.
