I have put in a complaint. All the items in the truck (back of truck) had water damage! It rained in the top of the truck. Mattresses, Box Springs and couch all got wet.Kim B.
The gentleman was super busy everyone checking in there stuff they was overwhelmed but they got me check in I was happyBobbi H.
Was told the truck was full of fuel and to bring it back full. I did. Truck was not full like I was told and how it was shown on the paperwork. So paid for someone else's fuel. Asked the person in charge about this and they were indifferent. I do no recommend this rip off joint to anybody. Second time I have been screwed over by these idiots. They sold me the most expensive one when I did not need it. I found out from the U-Haul I usually use. Also I reserved a trailer and they did not have it. My brother in law same issue. He had to drive 40 miles away to get his trailer. I got lucky and one came in as I was leaving which was not the size I reserved it worked. I would not use this U-Haul if any way around it.Terry R.

We rented a 26 foot truck. It had a lot of play in the steering. I nearly did not come back after my experience last November when I rented two trucks from Rapid City. The Truck on the 26th came back on my credit card at $588 but the truck returned on the 14th came back at $690. I do not know after 4 phone calls to the dealer in Sioux Falls why they overcharged me by $102, but I never got an answer. The trucks were returned on time and were cleaner than when I got them and more gas in them when I checked them out. I also called U Haul headquarters and they just referred me back to the dealer in Sioux Falls. I am very angry about this and would just like an answer.DONALD S.

Due to the fact that I had to drive at least 5 miles out of my way each way to run up the cost of the truck that is poor service on your part. You had a truck that was available at a location about 2 miles from me. The drivers window has issues going up and down. The roll up door got stuck going up also. The kids working there were great kids to work with and that is the only plus at this point. if you want locations all over town they should be equipped to serve the customer. It is obvious that the greed of one location is involved. Having worked for U Haul I feel I know the ins and outs of most of it.SANDRA C.

Kellyn Kruger is an awesome employee and should be promoted and given a huge raise. He was very helpful, kind and NOT stressed out under pressure. I scheduled a hitch install for a week in the future, when I arrived at the location I was told they didn't have the part and like to schedule installs at least two weeks out to insure they have the parts in stock. Why is the website letting me schedule install appointments if the location can't confirm they can perform the service. Or why am I not getting a phone call before my appointment to reschedule? Also, your call center makes it impossible to get through to a specific location, why isn't there an option to leave a message for the location? Instead of talking to someone at a call center who has no idea what is actually going on with my service.Michael M.

First of all it would be nice to get a call when my vehicle is done getting a hitch put on it like you said you would do. Second it would be nice if someone would pick up the damn phone when I call 4 different times to see if my vehicle is done or what the status is on it. And third, you should have some staff working when I go in to pick up my car so I don't have to wait in line for an hour with the other frustrated customers.Hunter K.

When I called to schedule the appointment, the person I spoke with on the phone was exceptionally helpful and friendly, 10/10 there. The person who helped me when I came to pick up my reservation, however, was not overly friendly. He had his headphones in and seemed bothered by helping me. Other than that, the experience was great. It was seamless to schedule my reservation, pick it up, and drop it off. Incredibly simple. I would definitely use this again in the future.BRANDON W.

I used this location twice this month and both times I had issues. First time I dropped off truck an hour before it was due back then received a huge bill come to find out it was not checked in until 2 hours later I did receive my money back after going down to location. Then second time I returned the truck almost 2 hours before it was due back and U-Haul calls me next day asking when I am going to return truck adviced them it was returned on time yesterday. Upon bringing the truck back I told the lady of my issue first time she said she would check it in right away obviously not. I am not sure if I ever move again if I will use U-Haul again. I am not sure if this was done to get more money from customers or they just got busy .but checking in trucks on time are very important so customer do not get extra charges. .Laura B.

I had a good experience picking up the trailer but dropping it off was a different story. I was waiting to drop off the trailer for about 15 minutes and I was behind two Uhaul trucks who were also waiting. There wasn't anyone in the garage working. I went inside of the store and there was a long line of people waiting but no one at the counter. I went and found the male who was supposed to be working in the garage and let him know I was trying to drop off the trailer. He had requested that I be patient. He was "helping" a customer who was having some mechanical issues with his vehicle. By helping, he really was just spectating while the customers were trying to figure out what was wrong the vehicle. Because he was spectating, he wasn't helping any other customers and I had to do a self-return. Another customer helped me get the trailer off of my vehicle and backed into a parking spot and he said he would have to do the self-return option as well because none of the employees would help. I think some additional training needs to be done with employees to have them be as efficient as possible instead of making customers wait around.MARIAH J.

I had a ton of interactions with the staff at this location and only had two good experiences. The worst was when I had previously had a late payment. There was a UHaul lock on my storage unit, which I fully understand, but it wasn't taken off even weeks after I caught up the payment. An employee came up with me, told me he would go look for the key, and left me sitting there without returning for over a half hour. I left, and when I returned a couple of weeks after that, the lock was still there despite payments being all caught up. I was so relieved to get my things out of the storage unit and never deal with this location again.mikayla n. | Overall Experience
Completely unprofessional and wrong that someone pays for 30 days with no other option and moves out early, maybe due to a change in circumstance and they don't get reimbursed for any of the amount they were required to pay but didnt use.
