There was minor debris inside the trailer it was not 100% cleanâ€¦ And I had not one but two technicians hook up the wrong trailer it was a local motorcycle trailer instead of a one-way motorcycle trailerRobert D.
Please wash the vans. We rent often, and it's always the same issue, well maintained, and clean inside. But the outside is always, dirty with bugs on windows. We like many who get the vans are business class customers using for in our case catering. Generally our people are in white shirts, and have to be so careful not to touch the vans. I had to go to 2 locations, the first of which didn't exist, and the second of which required an online self-checkout. The third was great, but I didn't appreciate having to ride around and wasting my time.Patricia H.
I completed all of the documentation (Driver's License Front/Back and Credit Card) and online check-in but the pick up location had no record so I had to redo all of the documents and they tried to charge my card again but I showed them the receipts and printouts. It took me over 90 minutes to get the rental trailer. The associate during my initial check in said back up to a trailer and I will be out to hook you up and check you out. I backed up to a trailer, waited 20 minutes, and no associate. I hooked up the trailer, checked the lights, and then went back inside. There was a line almost to the entry door (10 people) and 3 associates at the desk. One was talking loudly on the phone (personal call) and the other 2 did not seem to know the systems very well. When I walked up to the front to see if there was anything else I needed to do, I was told I had to wait in line. What is the purpose of doing all of the IDs and Credit card online ahead of time if they will not use it? Also, the blatant disregard and leaving me waiting in the 80+ degree weather for a hook up and check out is ridiculous. Customer service was not in place at this location when I arrived.THOMAS V.

The doors had issues closing. The check engine light was on. Those issues were not disclosed when we were checking in. Other than that, the truck was clean and the employees were great!bruce B.
First of all, we were not given this location. We were given a separate location; two different locations ahead of this third location. It was an absolute nightmare and put us one hour behind our moving schedule because we couldn't locate the truck. When we finally located the truck it was not filled with gas nor was it prepped and ready with the materials we had ordered. I fully expect to be refunded for the additional hour of loading that we lost as well as the inconvenience for tracking down the truck. I have all the supporting documentation emails and text showing that this address was never the original address we should have gone to. I'd also like to state the original location Ron's Food Mart-no longer even has signage and is so run down it was scary. The people inside don't even speak proper English. When he got somebody on the phone that could speak English we were told U-Haul forgets to drop trucks off all the time so likely there just isn't a truck available. The 24-seven phone numbers I was given should we have any trouble going straight to voicemail so that wasn't an option either. U-Haul should seriously consider if that place should continue to be a location because it poorly represents the brand.John F.

I rented on Friday and had until Monday to drop off. But dropped off Saturday cleaned and washed with over half a tank of gas. But was given no credit?? There should be a credit if cleaned washed gases and returned early! There are fees if dirty with less gas or returned late??Luigi P.

My reservation was switched from he Jax Beach location the morning I was to pick up. I was not notified until I arrived. After that I was sent to a location that did not open until 2.5 hours later and I had hired movers for the morning. I was finally sent to this location, after switching my time with the movers, and they handled my order. I will not recommend, or use Uhaul in the future if I can help it. The only good part of my Uhaul experience was the Phillips Highway location. They were pros and got the job done quickly.Tammie M.

You need to check over the truck before you rent it out. The side mirror broke off and was laying on the ground where it was parked, the turn signal did not work. The self check image of the truck was not the same truck. Pictures are on your app. Only had 1/8th of a tank gas. When we went back in to ask for another truck, which by the way there where a lot on the lot, the lady behind the counter said that's the truck you were assigned so either take it as is or move another day.Susan D.

The drop location that I used in Grand Valley Junction Spruce Pine, NC did not show up as a drop location on the website even though it is considerably closer to Burnsville than the alternative. The employees were wonderful, which is the only reason I gave three stars. The truck was not in good shape at allâ€¦ when I got in it and tried to adjust the seat the adjustment bar literally fell off. One of the employees was able to put it back. The check engine light was also on the entire time, and it was definitely making some noises that didn't sound right. On the way to drop it off it started raining and the windshield wipers didn't work, it put me and others on the road in danger.michelle F.

I had a prior reservation for a hitch installation and when I arrived I was told I the appointment that I had was for a later date, which resulted me having to book with a 3rd party. Days later I received a call back from the manager to apologize however I was not accommodated for the inconvenience. That weekend I had to pick up a trailer that I was renting and everyone there was very helpful! Different staff versus the day I came in for my hitch install.Monica G.
We rent Vans regularly at this location for Catering business. They vans are well maintained.. The only issue is they don't wash the vans. They are always dusty and dirty outside. The inside is great no problem... they just need a carwash or at least spray them down.TERRY G.

From the time I walked in the door I was given great customer service, but Daniel went out of her way to give a â€œWow Factorâ€ of superb customer service. She's pleasant, well spoken and very professional. I wasn't able to update my phone number online so she updated it for me. When I came back to return the rental truck she was outside helping with the rental returns, then came back inside to assist customers there also. I was very impressed with her. I couple of years ago I left after being a bank manager for many years, but if I was still at the bank I would have offered her a job on the spot, even without having any bank experience. The experience was terrible. The lady at the counter was VERY RUDE. I ordered a dolly a month in advance. She told me we we don't have your dolly to rent but you can buy one. And her tone was very unapologetic. Not having a dolly ruined my move. When she gave me the keys to the truck she said the truck is out there. No walk around? There was a ton of trucks on the lot, and she said out there. I have to say this was the worst experience I have ever had renting a truck. And I will never use Uhaul againGregg K.
My drop off location was close to my house and idky, but the facility that the rental person helped me register the drop off with, the parking lot was the SIZE OF the 26 ft truck I was dropping off. IMPOSSIBLE to drop off there. I had to go somewhere else, that was built to receive trucks of this size. (A great location.) Uhaul should know what facility can accept what size vehicles.Leslie B.

I had an issue with my rental-it was filled with roaches! I don't believe this is the norm for the location, so I want to take this time to give kudos to the Danielle Jennings. I'm not sure of Danielle's position title, but she rectified the situation. She also displays common sense approach to the adversity faced at the location. When I arrived at the location around 9am, I was told by the associate that there was no vehicles available to rent until 4 pm. When I left there were numerous unused vehicles parked outside. I left and did an online reservation to pick up at 10:30am. When I went back, I was able to rent one of the unused vehicles that I saw when I left the first time. THAT WAS VERY ODD! I would recommend that Uhaul mark the exact gas that is in the vehicle. I noticed that the gas was less than half a tank but was marked half full. This was my first time renting a truck & did not think much of it. I put gas back in to where the gas was but was told they were going to charge me more than what was needed. I made a second trip to the gas station. I noticed the gas gauge never moved but I kept my receipts. Somehow it was now accepted despite the gauge still not on half a tank. Lesson learned take a photo of the gas gauge so Uhaul does not take advantage & try to make a quick dollar on gas!LeeAnn W.

They refunded me my storage on the 10th of march for no reason. And then after randomly refunding me they have me no time to move my vehicle, then towed it to a tow yard. They also towed my other car all on the 10th , i talked to corporate and they told me I would have time to move my vehicle and a police escort will be headed out to walk me to my rv stop. The unit itself was fine the grounds were fine the lighting could’ve been much better especially because of the area that the storage facility is in. After dark there’s a lot of commotion in the surrounding area and that really should be a paid attention to as far as Security goes and feeling comfortable being there after dark. The biggest thing that stands out and the reason that I will continue to use U-Haul storage or just U-Haul in general is the staff at that location. They were amazing. They were friendly and fun but always professional. They remembered me and waved hello when I would come in this alone made me feel like a part of the group. I felt a sense of ownership even though I was just renting. As strange as this may sound I actually felt good about going to or leaving my storage unit. Everyone was helpful from the front desk staff to some of the guys in the shop. I even left the door open to my unit one day when I was in such a hurry and wasn’t thinking. They called me right away and were so kind to take care of it until I could get there just to make sure my things were secure. I moved my stuff into the storage. The area was way too tight for the moving truck to get through. Also, I tried to sell back boxes that I bought from U-Haul.. the new guy tried to help, but couldn’t get it. Then Cedric hopped in and tried his very best to help me. Then the rude GM made a smart comment about me having to leave and get the receipt.. mind you, I purchased these boxes online and had a order code. Extremely ridiculous and a waste of my time. My unit, 527, was very difficult to close the latch. I noticed several dents above the latch like someone beat it with a hammer. I got it closed but almost asked for another unit. The staff does not make customers a priority. The one girl is super rude. She will ask you what you need and then go help someone else - she did this to me twice. The first time I stood in line, when I needed help returning my truck she walked outside with me, then said “I need to get the form and I will be right back”. She went in to help other people and when I asked her if she was going to come back to help me she said well I have to help these people in line first, and I said I already waited for 30 minutes in that line to be helped. I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone (a guy to help me). Forget trying to call to ask 1 question, I was immediately put on hold for 10 Minutes before I could even say hello or ask my question. I had to call back 20 times before someone answered the phone, thankfully it was a manager who was able to answer my question to close out my unit.
