I didn't like that I reserved a box truck and dolly and get a call the day I needed it and was told they were out of them. And then I again asked if a dolly was available and told yes but when I get there you didn't have any.Chris S.

False advertisement. Sign says one month free storage with rental but company makes own rules. I was given a reservation with a truck and storage I was only paying for the truck with one month free I had to change my storage date which charged me 109 when I arrived at the store. The Manager I think GM was to busy on his personal cellphone speaking to his friends and was to busy to assist me and told me he didn’t know how long he would be. Don't let defective equipment off the lot. One of the 4 tires was bald and went flat two hours after I picked up the trailer. My mistake. Truck broke down in driveway cracked radiator. Took appox 3 hrs or so to get it replaced. Then on they day we were going to bring it back after unloaded it at the storage the ignition key would not turn forward to start the truck. We drove back to the rental location to tell them and they had totow it from the storage. They next we went to our and noticed the the tow company had hit one of the coner msker poles and bent it over at a 45 degree angle 🙄 Terrible experience!bryan K.
We're checking out the U-Haul, I noted that there were no moving pads in the vehicle. I went in and talked to the person, and they said that they did not have any. I was told that I would be refunded that portion of the bill. When I dropped it off in Indianapolis, they charged me a $24 missing equipment fee for the pads that you charged me for in the first place, but weren't there.MAURICE H.

Your road side assistance should be done at the pick up branch the employees at the branch for road side assistance has or had no answers said they couldn't help when I needed it . Plus on refunds off roadside assistance was a bad experience it took way to long and customer have to do everything on line themselves so over all customer services needs major help in your organization but the equipment was clean and easy access,William B.

The truck was filthy. Dirty coffee cups and water bottles in front. Trash in the trailer. We returned it in better condition than we received. We also FILLED the tank , which according to your website, should have netted us 40 gallons of gas. At 10 MPG, there should have been about 1/2 tank left. The truck burned gas. And now I am being charged for MORE gas? I won't be using UHaul again for any moving needs.Brigitte O.

Used the mobile check in process to save time. Too longer as the manager had to train the employee on how to give a key. After waiting in the lot approx 10 min, because the reserved vehicle was blocked in by other trucks, the manager switched me to another truck. As I began driving I realized the vehicle did not have properly working AC. Upon returning the truck, the manager advised he would process the credit card payment and issue a refund for the issues. I did t receive that, though it may take longer than the time frame so far.JEREMY G.

Había realizado la reserva para una bodega climatizada de 9x14 y cuando llegue al sitio me dijeron muy frescamente que ya no tenían disponibles, sabiendo bien que la reserva se hizo con bastante tiempo de anticipación por lo que venía de otro estado, me tocó tomar un 10x10 y dejar esta bodega sin acceso porque pedí una bodega para todo lo que llevaba en los dos trailers. Me pareció de mal gusto esta situación ya que deje muchas cosas sin poder guardar en la bodega por no tener el espacio suficiente. I have used U-Haul several times in the past for college moves, helping friends, etc. Overall, this was the worst U-Haul experience ever. I truly cannot believe I am the only one to complain about this location. They did not check the vehicle with meâ€”there was a huge crack in the windshield and just told me to â€˜jiggle the keyâ€”sometimes it doesn't start'. After loading the U-Haulâ€”-it took us 5 mins to get the truck started; This happened several times and we eventually returned the U-Haul early, because it just was not worth itâ€”Due to the â€˜key jiggling' reason. It took over an hour in waiting time to receive my reservation; which during the time I noted that when potential customers called inâ€”the 2 employees working the front desk; would pick up the phone and say â€˜I have a line of customers in front of me; I cannot talk right now' and would proceed to hang up. One of the front desk workers â€˜joked' when the line was 15 more people deep behind me that â€˜I just wanted to let everyone know that the people coming in now; we are out of trucks!' A few people in line yelled backâ€”and the man stated he was joking. And told the crowd to â€˜Calm down, damn, I was only joking' â€˜Can't y'all take a joke, it's not that serious' I will never rent from U-haul again. I doubt anyone that visits this location will do the same. It was truly an out of body experience to just stand in that line and hear how the front desk workers treated potential customers on the phone. One actual customer called back in for roadside assistance help and I will not even get into that story. I suggest either hiring more front desk help during the weekends (the majority of the people in line already had reservations), or hiring individuals with customer help experience. I had to call customer service a few times and they were extremely helpful. I hate to leave such a negative review, but I seriously cannot be the only person who has done so. I also cannot believe this location is not viral on TikTok; like I saidâ€”-it was truly surreal to see how they treated actual customers, and how potential customers were also treated. Even if I was given a free U-haulâ€”I would avoid this location like the Plague.Amanda T.

I was charged for additional fuel for $14.38 (2 gal.). On the day I picked up the truck, the guy came in very late (at least 30 mins. or more). There were more than few people already waiting for their trucks. I was first in line and when he handed me the keys and contract, I told him the gas gauge shows less than what he marked. It was almost at the half mark and not an eight more (where he marked). He was obviously in a rush (for being late) and just told me to bring truck back with half a tank and it would be OK. I brought the truck back with exactly the amount of gas when I received it but I was charged an extra 2 gallons. It is very unfair. He was late, in a rush and made mistakes recording the amount of gas in the tank. He gave me his word to return the truck with half a tank and it will be OK. I did exactly what I was supposed to do but penalized for his mistakes. Kindly refund me the additional fuel charged you collected from me. Thanks.Anthony A.

The guys out in the yard were quick to help with getting the trailer I rented hooked up and then unhooked when I returned. Everybody from those inside filling out paperwork to those in the yard moving the equipment around we're extremely friendly and helpful.Kevin J.
I have used your service many times and this was not a great experience. Many of the issues had to do with your technology. When i checked in, your system would not accept my picture of my license whci led to a longer than normal check in. Once i got the vehicle and inspected the outside, I deove to my first stop and noticed a burn hole in the seat and the chexk engine ligjt came on as well as the low tire pressure ligjt. I went to the link to to report the issue but it told me it had timed out so it would not allow me to do it. By this time, we already had the can packed and we were on a very tight deadline to get may daughter checked in by 6z. The real issues happened when I went to return the truck. When I arrived at your facility I used the link tht was sent tonchexk in the truck. I watched the video to make sure I did everything properly. I started the process but yiur system would not accept my location. I tried multiple times with the same result. I thought if I checked in using my log in, i could do it that way. Still got the same results. After 25 minites of trying to check the truck in, i decided your system was just not going to allow me to do it so I went to just turn the keys in. I spent another 10-15 trying to find the box that looked like the one on the video to turn the keys in but could not find it ( there was another couple there doing the same thing) . Neither of us could find it. I finally fiund a slot in the garage door that said key return so we put them in there. When I got home, I sent and email to you sharing my issues to make sure I was not charged that $20 fee. The next morning I get a call from one of your agents asking me if I turned the van in . I went through this whole scenerio with her and asked her to call me back when they found it. Never heard back so I called back to confirm they found it. She said they did and I told her I expected not to be charged the $20 fee. I look at my receipt this morning and see I was charged it. With all of these issues (all on your end), I would like a $20 credit. I will ne needing a van three more times before my daughter graduates college and will have to take my business elsewhere if this does get resolved.John M.
The arrows in the parking lot were confusing. I felt bad for the guy who unloaded me. Duriing pickup they used a big dolly to lift the front of the trailor. In Indianapolis a man was forced to bend over and break his back disconnecting my 6x12 pull behind. Employees backs should be valued more. I am disabled with a broken spine. Having employees bend over and dead lift heavy objects is doing nothing to protect the employee or their long term health. Get these people the right tools to promote there longevity.Mark Z.

I was supposed to have a lock included and in my unit ready for me but it was not there, thankfully a quick trip to the office resolved that. However second floor units are up a steep flight of stairs with no elevator, down narrow hallways, and low clearance in the units themselves. Upon move out, I asked for access which the female worker stated ahe couldn't help me, when I pick up a business card to call the GM (Eric Williams) she stated " no I'll call him" and proceeded to race me in dialing his number. From the minute I got there, the staff had no clue what units were available. I had a unit reserved and they said it was occupied. It took them 30 min tkk ok locate another one which ended up being two smaller units up a ton of stairs. They put me in 2 smaller units and sold me licks that apparently they don’t approve of because every time I came to add or take away things there was an extra lock on my unit. When I went I ask about it they said it’s because you have a lock that isn’t approved. The lock they sold me and told me to use for my unit. I’m hey have no idea what’s going on, what’s available or how to maintain the availability.
