Upon move out, I asked for access which the female worker stated ahe couldn't help me, when I pick up a business card to call the GM (Eric Williams) she stated " no I'll call him" and proceeded to race me in dialing his number. I would have more workers, if possible, on the weekends. We had to wait in line over 20 minutes, even though I had checked in online. They don't offer to give me the 20 minutes towards my rental. There was ONE guy working. He was working his tail off and was trying as hard as he could. It took about 45 minutes to get checked in because of the line. The truck I got had issues with the brakes. You had to pump them a lot for the truck to stop.Antranik A.

I scheduled the truck reservation, pick up, and drop off online so I could do a quick pick up on Sunday, I had to stand in line for 25 minutes, even though I had a reservation. The employee went over my drop off information and said if I switched it, it would be cheaper. I switched the location and told him I would be dropping it off Sunday evening. I moved my furniture 30 miles away, and drove back to drop the truck off and they were closed. When I logged in to Uhaul to do 24/7 drop off it said my scheduled drop off time was Monday (today) instead of yesterday. I figured out how to do the 24/7 drop off, and it took over 30 minutes and transfer after transfer with your customer service line. No one ever picked up. I'm glad I was able to figure out the â€œshare your locationâ€ on my own, but it took WAY too long to do the drop off. It would have been nice to receive a confirmation email that you guys acknowledged the drop off after hours. I hope I wasn't charged for an extra day when I didn't need it. It cost me $115 dollars to rent a truck for 6 hours.AMBER G.

Truck was dirty, broken mirror, equipment, door was jammed, want avaliable that I requested. I was given one truck and walked the trucks awaiting reservations, my truck wasnt there so I had to qqlk back inside and request another one.. Then once I got my truck, it was wedged in between 2 other trucks, so getting it out was a task. On top of it being freezing cold outside. I was not happy Tall qith my service. One guy working the entire place o. A Saturday and they were busy, 3 people in front of me, then when I went back Inside there was 5 people in line. I did not quit I just went ro the front. The reason being is because the movers and I use this description lightly loaded my truck and left to do another job while apt was not ready and never returned to unload truck. I had to do it myself . Numerous texts with different times to unload then an out and out extortion attempt to come back. I paid 189.00 for about 25 minutes work and still had to do the job myself or pay him more money to finish job I already paid for. So their performance reflects badly on you.THOMAS B.

I was charged for an extra day & for safe home insurance which I declined at time of pick up. I called to get this corrected and was told the manager would call me back. He never called. I will be disputung the charge if I don't get a correction made. I will also make a complaint to the Indiana Dept of Insurance if your company continues to ignore me.Karman P.

We were given a truck that was not clean inside. We did not check the inside of the truck where we would store things before we left. It is our fault for not checking however the person checking us in said that it had come in from an overnight. I had to sweep out the box part of the truck because it was so dirty. Clearly this truck had not been checked out when it was brought back in. There was also a dolly that had been left inside that we didn't order or use. Other than the fact that the truck was dirty, the truck worked fine and filled the needs we had for the day.BRYAN L.

From the minute I got there, the staff had no clue what units were available. I had a unit reserved and they said it was occupied. It took them 30 min tkk ok locate another one which ended up being two smaller units up a ton of stairs. They put me in 2 smaller units and sold me licks that apparently they don’t approve of because every time I came to add or take away things there was an extra lock on my unit. When I went I ask about it they said it’s because you have a lock that isn’t approved. The lock they sold me and told me to use for my unit. I’m hey have no idea what’s going on, what’s available or how to maintain the availability. The one employee was less than friendly. He was talking to someone on FaceTime while he was assisting me. I paid for assistance with hooking up the auto transport, and it was done incorrectly by the employee. Four hours into my drive, I found the left tire strap was not on the wheel, and the backup chain was dragging on the ground. Get more equipment at this location. Transition back to Ford trucks. Driving the GMC was not the highlight of this move. A person had to practically stand on the brakes to use them. Almost like they did not have power assist. Is that common with the GMC? If not then it needs repairs. This site already has two 26' trucks out of commission. The staff was courteous and helpful. These comments about the truck is in no way ment to be directed towards the staff that I helped me.NOAH J.

I had to wipe down inside of cab, dried drink spilled on lower console, door and floors filthy. I was at store and they said the one vehicle they had wasn't available today, sitting in their lobby I called the online service to schedule a pick up truck at the nearest location. Got it scheduled immediately and it just so happened it was at the exact same location I was sitting at I walked back up they looked confused but got the truck ready for me. I'm OK with all of this but I had forgot my Oakley sunglasses in the sunvisor and when I called to ask them to check they said they checked and they weren't there I told them it was in the sunvisor it's easily missed that's how I forgot them they said well sorry sir the vehicles not here. To be honest I don't know what to say about my entire visit and the way it was handled by the staff not only that the cleanliness of the truck was super disappointing.PAUL S.
We have done business at this location for over 20 years, every Holiday Season we rent 3 to 5 uhauls for a total of 5 weeks. This year, with the new Manager Eric Williams Jr. was terrible. Bad customer service, no one helped with anything and he was very rude on 2 occasions. I know I will be reserving trucks from a different uhaul shop or may start renting our Holiday Truck needs through another company. gas tank was empty. worker was impatient and did not explain gas policy well. dolly was not in truck, had to go get it out of the cage myself and the back of truck was not swept. there was some detached wire in the cab as well. there ended up being an issue with a gas refund that the other location had to resolve.Alex M.

When I discussed this initially with the representative, I was quoted one price for the rental, but upon returning it, this price was not honored, and I was overcharged. Upon pick up of vehicle, I stated that if the price was $0.79 per mile, I did not want it. I understood that he was giving me 180 miles before charging the $0.79 mile charge, but I was charged for all miles at that rate. I ended up paying quite a bit more, then called customer service, waiting an hour to talk with them, and they more or less told me there was nothing they do about it. We had to wait in line for over an hour because the employees didn't have the keys for the building. Then spent 25 minutes talking on the phone trying to get the guy who had the keys to wake up. The employee should have been using two computers to help the customers that were there. It was a complete waste of time Standing in there.AARON D.

This location has you park under a canopy and wait with the truck and an employee will come to assist you! NO ONE EVER DID! We entered the building to let them know we were turning in a truck. They told us as long as it was under the canopy just to leave the keys in it and we were good to go! This is terrible customer service! i wasn't sure how the key drop box worked, no one explained it to me at the time of rental so I had to drop the key in a keybox that had no padlock on it. I guess they found it ok, but they should have explained how it worked. lady there just said "theres a key drop outside."Robert P.

We reserve the 10 foot truck on line but when we got there they only had one truck and then when it came down to it the person that was also getting a truck a 10 foot truck had it reserved also so better reservations and holding the vehicle for a person could be somewhat better but they offered me a pick up truck and made it very affordable for me to do so and accommodated me so I can get my project done so all in all I was very satisfied and they seem to go out of their way to try and make sure that I was I will rent from you Again as I am very pleased thank you very muchTIMOTHY N.

Literally waited over 90 minutes in line to get checked in. Only one person working, but over 10 reservations being checked in. U-Haul was changed from a 17 foot to a 20 foot. During the middle of the contract being made, changed again to a 15 foot as they then had to give the 20 foot to someone else. Link for the pre inspection was for the 20 foot and when I told the worker I couldn't properly inspect for previous damage as I now have a 15 foot, I was waved off and told it would be okay. Everyone was kind, but there seemed to be no structure at all. I had a reservation for 9am and didn't get out of there until 10:45/11am. I literally paid my movers just to sit around and do nothing for an hour since I did not get the U-Haul at the scheduled time. Please honor reservation times as well as reserved U-Haul sizes.TYLER E.

Brought back truck 10 minutes before it was due back. Employee said all was fine put key in his pocket. I left, got a bill for another day rental on truck. Went back spoke to the same employee he wrote a bunch of information down said it would be taken care of. 3 days later had to go back still no refund finally got someone to erase charges. I was a little surprised that I was handed keys with a number on them, and left to fend for myself in a dark lot to (1) find the truck and (2) load an appliance dolly and a furniture dolly into it by myself. Not one employee asked if they could assist me. Beyond that, I am a small female and it really did not seem too safe to send me out into a dark lot to find the truck and load it myself. I was originally scheduled for a 15' truck at the capitol st location here in Indy. Got moved to this location for a 17' truck at this location (way too far out of my way). Got there and that truck was not available either. Ended up getting a different truck but I think something got changed on my quote as I ended up paying aproximately 100$ and whenever I made my original reservation I was quoted at approximately 50$.SCOTT V.

However, they got the job done, but at the expense of many customers losing time on their moving experience. My experience was bad from the beginning. I arrived at 8am to get my rental and was told it was rescheduled to 12pm. When I arrived at U-Haul at 12pm I had to wait in a long line. When I finally got to the counter they told me my reservation was canceled. That got fixed and I was given a smaller truck than I had reserved. I requested a storage unit and was given a unit far away from the location I was at due to the employees credentials not being transfered to his new store. I made the arrangements for your storage unit at the same time i reserved a u haul rental truck. I was told at that time that the unit was on the first floor and the cost was $109.95 a month. When i went to the storage facility i was told the unit was not on the first floor and the cost for a unit was $129.95 a month for a unit on the first floor. I showed the gentleman my paperwork stating the quoted cost and explained i cannot do the stairs at my age and since there is no elevator i have to use a first floor unit. He told me the person i spoke with does not know this facility and does not know what are first floor units. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager was not there. I asked him to write down the name of the manager so i could call to get the pricing resolved. He did not do this. I am also unhappy that the first floor unit is smaller than the other one due to the ceiling height. The other issue is the lack of lighting in the unit.
