We had rented a truck for a 2 day period. Picking up at 12:30pm on Thursday and returning 12:30 on Saturday. A 2 day rental as per our summary, only to be told when we picked it that we had to have it back by 10:30am on Saturday. We couldn't access our apartment until 10am, all the more reason why we waited until 12:30 pm to pick it up. We are totally disappointed and had to find other arrangements for Saturday and ended up returning the vehicle a day early. We were moving 2 of our children to different locations, and could not complete this task with your help....so disappointedPAUL A D.

1. I requested no blanketsÂ because we moved some dirty materials and very many cartons, and the clean blankets (supplied) merely got in the way.Â Â 2. More importantly, I requested 2 dollies, (both during the phone order and during the pick-up service at the counter), and I was charged for 2 dollies, however, there was only one dolly supplied with the truck. The missingÂ dollie forced us to work differently than planned (in loadiing over 800 boxes onto the truck !! ..Â and then offloading them to relocate same, over the course of the 3 days!), and it forced the project to go much slower than planned. This project was an hour's drive (each way) from the U-Haul site so it was impractical to simply go back for the second dolly because we didn't have a second vehicle on the weekend to do so, and to use the truck would have about doubled the mileage on the rental, and the truck needed to be on-site for continual loading and unloading. I feel there should be a substantial reduction/credit for this costly error. It added upwards of 10-12 hours of labour and delayed the project significantly Please advise what U-Haul can do or offer to reconcile this disservice to an otherwise, (previously), satisfied customer.Peter A.
The staff at this location were great, very helpful and did everything to ensure the trailer was secure. The trailer was clean and worked fine until New Brunswick, when the ground wire for the lights broke off and I had to temporarily fix it, luckily I try and plan for every situation and had a spool of wire in my vehicle.BRENDAN PATRICK D.

I recerve the vehicle day before but when I went to pick it up they told me they don't have that size truck. They gave me the smaller one. I saw the truck I recerved there were few parked in the out size but I didn't get one. This is not a good experience as a customer. Now I do not recommend this to anyone and who ever I know gonna use this service I will share this experience because they will think I recerve the vehicle and plan ahead but when we went to get the vehicle we get a somewhat different. No one had time for me or any questions I had in store. I was rushed out because other customers were in. I called customer service for clarification and got put on hold for almost an hour.... at which point I just hung up. Not only did u haul take a lavish amount from me for moving only 100 kms (ï¼„300+!!) Then they charged me 20ï¼„ for extra miles and kept the full tank of gas I put in it... that's another ï¼„200 in fuel alone! I really got taken to the cleaners here with uhaul.. not going to make this mistake again. Uhaul will never get my business again.RYAN M.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with the rental process. They answered my questions about extending my reservation over the telephone and when I explained we were moving due to a flooding displacement they did everything why if offering to help us move in person. Upon returning my cargo van to the wrong location in the lot (I'm exhausted lol!!) they had a lot member inspect the van and complete the process with mobile technology. I came to check in on Friday afternoon around 5pm. The check in attendant was very rude and when I mentioned the free month with truck rental he ignored me. Then when I mentioned it again he said "I wish you told me this before" and rolled his eyes at the extra work he had to do, refunding me. When we saw our unit, we were disgusted to find numerous bugs on the floor and ceiling. If I am paying this kind of money for a storage unit, I would at least expect it to be clean. The way I was treated at the check in counter was unacceptable for a paying customer. I intended to use UHaul for all my moving needs but now I am having second guesses. Worst customer service experience I've ever had, the boy at the counter, Matt, told me I was overcharged, laughed in my face about it, and then told me he wasn't going to do anything for me. He then proceeded to tell how much I should have payed but still would fo nothing to help. The one who gave me the rental his morning, made no mention of the error and made no attempt to help and was there during the return. If this is how all of your customers are treated, I don't see how you're still in business. I would rather rent from any other competitor than uhaul right now.STEFAN ANDRE F.

I used your online booking, and it was disappointing, with so many steps and photos to take. The worst part is you have to do them all when you reach the place, and since there is no parking for customers, I had to park my car somewhere else and then walk to haul, stand in the cold and go through the steps. Usually, the purpose of online booking is to facilitate the process, not making it more painful. I'll never use your online booking and pickup service again, and will go the old fashioned way.Taimaz B.

This location did not know much about uhaul. I was waiting an hour because they weren't prepared for me. When I arrived at first they didn't know if my truck was there or not, then didn't have a dolly for me when I already precooked and paid for it. Staff acted as though I should have expected this. Very frustrating as I was trying to make a 3 hour drive after packing the uhaul and didn't have much time. Also got charged an extra $65 for insurance in store when it said $30+HST online.Emily H.

Get the city council to allow your trucks into the dump area without a permit. You should not be hassled taking garbage to the dump. I know a lot of people who don't want to rent trucks because of the council.Frank F.

1 of our 2 units was completely water damaged. The unit was full floor to roof of my mother’s possessions that she was forced to store after my fathers death and having to sell her home. We lost more than half of our items due to water damage and mold. It took weeks and weeks of our/her time to sort through the mess. The employees of the kenmount road location, were as helpful as possible, but we were told uhaul as a company did not offer any assistance under their insurance. This should not have happened. I had two drive up Units , one had rodent problems and both had water/moisture issues. When I moved out my items, most of it had surface mould and mouse droppings on/in it. I had an house fire and lost everything including the key to the storage unit. I had to hire a lock smith to cut off the lock. I had the unit paid for until August 20th. I was partially moved and did not put another lock on the unit. The local company tried calling me and I tried several calling back to see what they wanted. When I finally called back I was informed the few pieces of furniture left there was thrown out It was three pieces of a bedroom set and a tv stand. I have a 5 x 10 locker for 8 mos. @ 149.00 a month. I couldn't move it out because of the virus. I asked for a discount and was turned down. this is at a time most business were helping out. I am a senior on a fixed income that I started to receive in may month of 490.00 until they could get a review to correct the amount. The unit leaked on our furniture and has likely ruined some of it. I had never used a storage unit of any type so I specifically asked a lot of questions in the beginning to make sure something like that didn't happen. The people I spoke to assured me that the units were fine and there should be no issues. I have used U Haul multiple times for the vehicles and was always impressed and very happy with the service. When I went to go drop off stuff in my storage unit I had my baby with me I parked my car so I could go in and punch in my security number. And all I could hear was the horn going from inside. One of your employees were honking the horn like something sick nearly on my bumper. And than gave me a dirty look cause it took me a bit to get my baby back into her car seat. I wasnt in the way and he had lots of room to go around. He backed up where I was and stayed on his phone the entire time. Horrible horrible horrible expirence. I'm moving with a baby. The loading area was clean and free of obstruction. The overhead doors are a bit inconvenient though as the door only remains open for 30 seconds. As I had to unload a trailer I could not pull into the bay, or so I was told by the attendant.
