I had a issue with the truck. Called the customer service number and they thought I was in the USA when I clearly told them exactly where I was and in Canada. There was no assistance, bit it was okay was only engine got hot was the issue. I reserved pads but not given any but received a refund.

I was given a different story every time I spoke to someone at U-Haul about this installation. Initially I was told it would take 1-2 hours, then 2-4 hours. It actually took 7 1/2 hours. I was wandering around one of the worst areas of Surrey all day and had to cancel everything I had planned to do that day. I was also given conflicting information about the time to bring my car in. To add insult to injury, no one called me when it was finally done, despite assurances they would. Terrible service. If I had any time to get it done elsewhere I would have told U-Haul to stuff it.

I rented a Cargo trailer, for 4 days, and now I am being charged an additional $67.20 for 3 days longer, cause they did not see the trailer on the yard. I returned the trailer on Sunday, June 23 at 6:30 pm. to the yard I was told to return it to. and I am not pleased that I am being charged for it.

The only concern I had, the clerk did not volunteer to do a walk around and go over existing damage / find anything new prior to taking the rental. Nothing additional was discovered, just maybe they forgot. It did give me that quick thought is there something they wanted to get covered but that wasn't the case after walking around with them.

Terrible customer service, disrespectful agents. My moving was frustrated last Saturday for the many mistakes the workers made. Yesterday finally my moving was done. Once again my brother went to Kings George boulevard to pickup my staff from the U-box in the storage and the woman working there made problems again telling he is not allowed to enter the storage when the night before and for the whole week I was giving his name even to the manager and they put it in the computer. Very frustrating dealing with U-haul. Any more in my live! Terrible experience

The location in Surrey seemed pretty unorganized. I.e didn't know where specific keys were, unaware the location of vehicles etc. There were only 2 people working, not a huge line up but it took a while to finally get out the uhaul out.

26' Truck I'd reserved 3 weeks ago wasn't available. Gas had been syphoned and cables cut in the night. Express check-in was an hour long wait. Staff on site were fantastic trying to take care of me, but were severely understaffed that day. Check in the next day was easy. 20' truck worked as expected.

No focus on customer. I went to the center booked a truck for 8:15 a.m. I was told to be in the center for pickup at that time. When i arrived at 8:10 a.m. to pickup the truck, i was told no one would take care of my request. I could see 3 employees moving in and out of the office, but no one was ready to help me with the truck. The general attitude of the employees was unfriendly and rude. Finally, at 8:50 a.m. i was given the truck. I tried calling the uhaul number, however the wait time was more than 15 mins. I have booked uhaul trucks multiple times in the US and had a good experience.

That trailer drove me crazy didn’t matter how it was loaded the hitch connection bang and banged while I drove everywhere. Could not load enough weight the front of the box to put weight on the hitch which should have stoppped the problem. Something wrong with that unit.

You could improve for the next customer by actually cleaning the vehicles when a previous customer leaves a mess. There is a cleaning deposit for a reason. If you charge a customer or not, a vehicle should be thoroughly inspected and cleaned by your staff before giving to another customer. The only thing saving me as a customer is the good service by the person at the counter. Note to the Manager, I could hear every word you said to your employee when she came to ask you if I could get a discount. You're lucky you have a good employee facing the customer or you'd be down one repeat customer.

The VAN was BAD on Gas. I used it for 110 r less & I gas up for 20 Liters before I return it with the same level of gas when I pick it up. I didn't use it for 2 days for the simple reason that no one can pick me up from the U-Haul location. Also, I should only be charge for half day on my third day..... Please check my rental records.

The left turn signal stayed in after turning jerked going up hills and didn’t shift properly one of the employees from when I rented last month did all the rental things and said the break problems I had with truck I got then was fine the guy don’t know nothing about mechanics of those things and seems it might still be on road the manager is never in and so I can’t talk to him about last months probs with that truck so I am very not satisfied with the service and attitude the employees have and will probably go to a diffrent location

They where an hr late for the appointment, I informed they what I needed my SUV back in 3 hrs, they called me 6 hrs later. When I asked about it, I was told they got to busy to call me to let me know it was done within 2 hrs. I had to chancel things I had planned. My time was not respected and no apology was made to me.

I made an appointment online, showed up, then was told they didn't have the parts and that they had no idea what to do next. We suggested finding the parts at another Uhaul which they thought was a great idea, then asked us to go get the part 2 municipalities over. We said you have got to be out of your mind if you think we are going to do that. So the location sent a person to get the part. We waited. And waited. And waited. It took so long we had to take the car after 3.5 hrs, then come back the next day and WAIT ANOTHER 3 hrs to finish the job! This was wildly inconvenient and frustrating an completely threw off put schedule, putting us 3 hrs behind. Then they had the audacity to charge us extra for extra labor when it was their fault in the first place. If they had done their job correctly and the system worked right none of this would have happened. Absolutely brutal.

I had excellent service in the past but on this instance when it mattered most, had the worst and expansive experience. I believe your reservations department need to be aware of locations that are not equipped with 24hr pickups. I wasted 80mins very valuable time early in the morning and it cost our company $280. My booking 87395709 was confirmed for 0530 pickup but was not set up on my arrival. Screening for pleasant morning staff would be an asset for this location with the exception of Mr. Ali who was an absolute professional on the phone with me. Other than this visit, I've had exceptional service at this location. I was expecting some kinda compensation but...

AC didn't work...I went approx 35 km's and was billed for 55 miles. Originally said bill rental was $63, after got emailed receipt was charged $114... U-Haul claims i drive 55 miles(80kms). Bullshit.

I am a senior and if I may speak for other seniors....you should allow to use Debit card for panel pick up vans too. However, debit card for 10 ft truck was okay. After all you do take a deposit of 125$. thank you.

Vechicles were almost blocking the entrance, better signage required? Upon vechicle return i tried to complete the online service. I found this a little taxing that the whole process had to be done rsp when it is late at night. Is this typical for the customer to check over amd log all the information for the vendor? Their software used the cost per mile (instead of the cost per kilometer) with then number of kilometers driven, to arrive at the charge for the distance driven, generating a higher cost per kilometer. An email sent to 846056_GM@uhaul.com on April 6, 2019 has still not been replied to on April 23, 2019.

Probably the best customer experience I’ve ever received from a U haul location. They installed my hitch within an hour as originally quoted and were very friendly. I also overheard how they interacted with other customers and I cannot say enough. They were very helpful and positive.

The vehicle would not change transmission setting from Tow/haul as recommended by your signage in truck for wet slippery roads Truck also made unusual sound underneath the floor boards shifting down at what seemed unusual times and jerking the truck. Box on the vehicle leaked and some of my items got wet from pooling water on floor of box. Overall I would say this truck did not perform as expected or as well as other trucks I have rented from U Haul

We reserved a 10 ft truck directly from the Surrey location and received a confirmation number via email. On the day we arrived to pick up the truck we were told that they didn’t have one for us and we were on a waiting list and may not get one that day. They tried to get us to take a van instead which would have cost a lot more money because we would have had to make multiple trips ( pay per km). We drove home and called U-Haul customer service but they couldn’t seem to help us. I called the Surrey location again and they once again tried to get us to rent a van. I think they purposely overbook their trucks and then trying to get desperate people to a van instead. A very poor practice if this is the case! We had given up and my husband drove to our storage unit where we had planned on removing our belonging so we didn’t have to pay for another month. The storage company allowed us to pay for 5 days instead of an entire month. Thanks Public Storage! I was persistent and polite but very firm when I spoke to each of the U-Haul employees. One of the reps (Farisa) I had spoken to at Surrey U-Haul called me back when she noticed that a truck had been returned early and she said she would hold it for us. We started 2 hrs after we were supposed but we were able to get our belongings out of our storage locker. Unfortunately they could not reverse the charge for the extra 5 days. I left a message for the general manager at the Surrey location but he had not called me back. Except for Farisa, all the other U-Haul employees were unable or unwilling to do anything except pass the blame. The truck was filthy. The widows were so dirty it was difficult to see through them. The passenger door had to be slammed shut multiple time before it would finally close properly. The vehicle had very poor fuel efficiency. What a horrible experience. We would never use U-Haul again!

I originally booked for 6 hours. When went in for pick up, was pressured into booking for 3-4 hrs, then finally agreed on 5. When I returned the U-Haul, an hour earlier, I did not know where to return the keys and the office door was wide open. I was met by two ladies who would just yell "we're closed!" and we're not helpful and plainly rude. I would not recommend.

UHaul has e-mailed me to ask me to comment on Ubox service in Surrey, B.C. I have never had a UBox there. I never booked any UHaul service in Surrey, B.C. UHaul online system is broken. Don't trust it

My experience with UHauil has been horrible. 3 Customer Action Reports I filed, that's how bad it was. Though I was compensated for the frustration and turmoil - I will never use them again.

When we came to pick up our uship boxes. They were not ready for the time we were promised they would be ready. The boxes were loaded on the trailer incorrectly and needed to be reloaded... No space.

Staff fooling around in vehicles. Only one trolley available to move my items. When asking staff for assistance they are nonchalant and surly. Not happy with the frequent price increases.
