The U Haul associates were very helpful and friendly. The 26 ft truck was clean but the front end needs to be closely inspected, suspension and steering needs to be closely checked and fixed. We have used U-Haul many times and this was the first time a vehicle felt unsafe Getting out onto King George Blvd was easy but coming back to the yard was awful. No access to get into yard to return the truck. Continous island !! Had to drive three blocks to turn off and go through a neighborhood to turn around. Brutal!!

The staff were awesome. Very helpful and made me understand how to do my first rental experience as pleasant as it was. The only downside was the 17' I got had the "Check engine" light on all the time. It needed work as it was shaking violently on lower gears and might have been the reason why it was using too much fuel. It did not fail on me the entire time during the move, which was still great.

Reserved the dollies before 1 week of moving date but they were not available while picking up the truck. No prior communication or a courtesy phone call on unavailability. Have to go to another location to pick up the dolly and the worst part is again we have to drop the truck and dolly at different places. Atleast the flexibility of dolly and truck drop off should be same location to enhance customer experience. Not really customer friendly process and unnecessary hassle on moving days

Reserved the Uhaul 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE and no 15ft Uhaul was reserved for us AT ANY LOCATION. Not to mention I requested pick up at 7:30 IN THE MORNING. NOT 12:00 in the afternoon. This is completely unacceptable when you're scheduled to move. Tisk Tisk. Will not be recommending Uhaul to anyone.

The truck I was given should not have been rented out. The floor was damage and there was a severe tripping hazard. Had a very close call that could have resulted in a serious injury luckily no one was hurt just some minor damage to the treadmill that was dropped when the floor gave out. Many of the tie downs were broken. Not a happy experience. Thank you

I had a reservation to book a truck for 48hours on May 31st at 10 am. I had booked it online and then a few weeks later I received a message that my order would be changed to a cargo van. I called back to U-Haul and eventually spoke to a supervisor that said that U-Haul would honour my 48 hour booking of a 17 foot truck. When I arrived at the location on King George to pick up my truck the associate told me that U-Haul wouldn’t honour my booking for 48 hours and that I had to have the truck back by 7 am the next day. After showing the associate my confirmation email and telling him that a supervisor had approved the 48 hour rental he still refused and said he had other bookings and if we don’t return it by 7 am the next day we would be charged $100.00 for every customer that is bumped from their booking time. The associate was completely unhelpful and showed no empathy. He didn’t even try to come up with any solutions. I was completely stressed out and frustrated so I called the customer service number and the associate on the phone asked to speak with the associate at the store. He then told me that I could bring the truck back by 1 pm the next day. This of course is not what I had been promised. While this was going on another older female associate at the store was yelling at a couple because there was a misunderstanding about which phone number they gave. Is this the type of service U-Haul provides? This whole fiasco completely threw my moving schedule off. My husband and I we’re unable to properly complete our move. We were forced to return the truck early. I had purposely booked the truck several weeks earlier so I could guarantee that our move would go smoothly. It did not. I don’t know what is the point of providing a confirmation booking email or even making a booking at all if U-Haul does not honour them. I understand there were other people that booked the truck but why would U-Haul make these reservations if you don’t have enough trucks to rent. This was honestly one of the worst experiences. I will never use your company again if this is how you continue to do business.

Staff members were very unprofessional received phone call from two members from the same location demanding truck return by certain time otherwise they would report it stolen there was a total wrong reservation for me no one even said sorry I was forced to pay extra money for the other customers that they say I had bumped even though I had called and arranged the return time and additional days for usage.i would suggest that u haul locations should keep some vehicles for these mishaps rather than renting all at once so how can u accommodate these situations.i was given a 15” truck instead of 17” for which I had the reservation I had to make 2 extra trips from Surrey to Vancouver because I couldn’t fit all my cabinets in the 15 “ truck the 17 “ truck fits 4 sets of units perfectly 2” does make a lot of difference in a cube truck i was not compensated for the extra miles n the gas Very disappointed

It took 40 minutes to rent out a truck. When I returned it it was 7:10 and one of them employees quickly shut the door and left. 3 customers were behind me. 7:00 was closing. They also double charged me on the rent and insurance fees. I rented for 6 hours. Worst off their unprofessional customer service reps have not cleared this issue or contacted me regarding my complaint. These guys scam people and they mislead them. If there was another company all my business would be there. Hi U-Haul (your credit card)

My card was charged twice for the rental. I called in to this location, but there phone was forwarded to a call centre somewhere. I was told by someone at the call centre who never asked for my name or any other information that the money would be back in my account within 72 hours. This time has now passed and the money is not back in my account.

I received a confirmation that my booking for 10 foot truck was available. The store attendent called as well to confirm but when I reached there I was told there’s no 10 foot truck. I was provided with a 15 foot truck which was $10 more. No apologies from store attendent. No mention of the $50 guarantee as well. There’s no sincerity in doing business.

Online reservation and check-in was great but for Canadian customers renting in Canada, the web page comment about "äll charges are in US Dollars" was confusing. I had no idea whether my credit card would be charged in US Dollars, whether multiple exchange rates would be calculated, etc. I spent a lot of wasted time on the phone with a U-Haul rep trying to straighten it out -- without getting an answer that left me with any confidence. In the end it was a straightforward Canadian transaction.
