Please post a sign (or maybe I didn't see it) at the main entrance off King George Blvd, redirecting rental returns to the East side entrance. While returning my vehicle late, I parked in a jam packed entrance driveway off KGB. Only when I was about to return the keys did I realize I had parked in the wrong place. So I considerately moved it. This was an amazing, outstanding service experience. I wish I could receive such service at ALL locations (Victoria, BC?)Wilfred W.
I had a reservation for April 2 for rental of a 6x12 cargo trailer for 4pm, I was contacted the day before and told it would not be ready until 6:45 which really impacted my schedule. I asked why but the girl did not know why nor did she know if there was another location that had a 6x12 cargo trailer. When I arrived the yard guy was put out because it was 15 mins before closing time. When we got to the trailer it was dirty ,I mean it looked like it somebody when 4x4ing through mud with it but I noticed it had brand new tires on it so I imagine they probably did not have time to clean it due to the fact it needed tires. I did recieve a text that said call to confirm reservation, was on hold for 1 hr and 15 mins. The attendant at the location had forgot to give me the 24 moving pads I requested, but I also forgot them as well. I got home and realized I did not have them. When we opened the trailer it also very dirty on the inside, my wife had to sweep it out prior tk loading our furniture. I tried to call the store but got put on hold again for quite a while, by this point it was past 7pm and store was closed. Had to wait until next morning to get pads. I showed up at 6:30 knowing the store did not open until 7 am, the attendant was very helpful and gave me the pads early so I could be on my way. Overall it was not terrible just a little frustrating. I think better communication with the store would be good. I will say that I had no issues with the trailer though, performed fine.I will require the use of a trailer again in the near future but I will need a bigger trailer and 6x12 seems to be the biggest available from uhaul.john H.

I originally reserved a truck through the Uhaul app at a different location. When I went to pick the truck up at that location the app totally sucked and I couldn't pick up the truck as it wouldn't accept my postal code then wouldn't let me log in using my PW then wouldn't send me a code to change my PW. I became so frustrated with the app I went to this location where they were able to help me out. They were very helpful there but the Uhaul app sucks big time.CHRISTOPHER C.

Took 45 minutes standing in line to sign out truck.Then I returned it early but after closing and was tired and failed apparently to " check in" the 26 foot truck online ( truck was back after hours but almost 8 hours before had to be so they charged me an extra 20.00...I spoke with manager and he wouldn't drop the " charge " as " its" company policy.Thinking over the years of how I have spent thousands of dollars with them( as they can look up with drivers licence) I am very disappointed.Yet another way to gouge the exhausted customer of their cash.We rent these vehicles and do hard work with them and return them exhausted and tired and wanting to go home. Port Moody location I rented exact same truck and returned after hours and they never charged me this " fee"....Ill keep going there but now think very poorly of the uhaul location near the patullo...and it's a huge outlet.....beware as they are unreasonable and just spout off of the " company policy " I will contact the head officesRAE C.

I tried calling them to ask if they had a late checkin and I also called to let them know that I was going to be late. I waited on the phone for two hours and no one picked up the phone. Then someone called me and told be I would be charged $200.00 an hour for being late. Went and returned it and the worker was very rude, very unprofessional. Firstly I booked a Uhaul over phone and they booked it but when I reached the place to pick up there was no one. The person I called said that location is closed. Then I went to another nearby Uhaul location and also tried to call the customer service they put me on hold for 25 minutes! I reached the location and told them my situation but the lady working there was getting mad on me as I was telling her my bad experience. I guess you should hire those people who can actually provide a good customer service rather than taking everything on them and showing me anger back! The lady was not at all professional as she started to argue with me and getting more rude while talking! It was my first time that I used Uhaul service and such a bad experience! I had booked for self pick up at 7:45 am for 6 hours, due to technical glitch I was unable to pick up the truck I asked for help from Uhaul representatives over there, they tried but due to the glitch I was unable to do self pick up, at last I got truck at 10:30 am and was asked to bring it back by 2 but after huge discussion Uhaul representative said 3 pm is fine. which mean I had the truck only for 4.5 hours and which made things really difficult for me.Harnidhan S.

Very happy with the staff. But was really disappointed that I tried to rent from numerous other locations and had confirmed reservations but also had rented a furniture dolly. But first location they did not have the truck for me. Second location they did not have either the truck or a furniture dolly. Third location again only had the vehicle. Fourth location I just bought a furniture dolly as they had them all rented out. Not satisfied that I would get the rental reservation with the dolly confirmed but then either no truck or no dolly available. Staff at all locations were very apologetic and did try to help so am really happy with them but not happy with the process. Will continue to rent from u-haul though.DANIEL R.

the staff were amazing, however, the truck itself had broken parts inside the cab. Both Window rollers were broken, the drivers sun visor was broken and the drivers side mirror was so stiff, I wasn't able to adjust it. But, aside from the truck, the staff were great, very friendly. :)SUSAN E.

The only issue I had was the â€œ Optionalâ€ $10.00 insurance. That trailer is not worth $45,000.00 U.S. I took the â€œ optionalâ€ coverage as I did not want to be charged that ridiculous amount of money should something had happened to me while I rented it. Workers are rude and unmotivated going to this location is a last resort. Me and my family have been yelled at by more than one employee even told I am not able to get reserved equipment. I've had to load trailers myself just to barely squeeze my way out of the overfilled lot which is near impossible even a skilled operator would rather not navigate. have been give dirty equipment would expect some actual change during covid but just as much mess as before. staff here have negative mindsets argue with you and each other over nothing. coming here is depressing which is unfortunate because its one of the most used and largest locations on this side of the river. Management needs to take serious action here I have been here over 10 times and never once had anything positive to say. My Mom is an optimist: she finds the good in everything, she finds no good in this place an; i wouldnt reccomend to my worst enemy yet alone friends and family travel or wait till another location has the equipment you need. Uhaul management needs to take a serous look into this locationJames P.

Have the reservation ready and pulled out. I wasted one hour at pick up and 30 minutes dropping off. The lot is not organized. The lot is too small. Staff not ready. Then I left and was on the hwy and asked to return to switch out unit because they gave me the wrong one. All over a very bad experience.MATTHEW B.

Glass shards in the cab. Poor organization at pick up. Paid for a 4 hour 10-2pm reservation. Didnt leave the store until 1030 and was still expected to have it back by 2pm. One staff member kept letting his mask below his nose. No signage to help keep an organized lineup for social distancing. No wiping of the pay stations after use.Allan C.

The automated check in and vehicle inspection didn't work on my phone, none of the pictures I was trying to upload would go (despite being on the uHaul wifi). The woman at the counter asked an employee named Frank to do a manual inspection. He made me feel very stupid for not being able to find the vehicle ID number on the back bumper "see, it's right there!!" while pointing to a truck behind me that actually had a number on its bumper, as opposed to the truck I was looking at that didn't have a number. He also didn't think I would be charged for the small scratch I found on the front of the pickup, and when I insisted I get that written down just in case, he said "ok FINE" with attitude, resentfully smacked a sticker down on top of it and stomped away saying "GEEZ", without helping me complete the rest of the inspection. When there was an issue with the mileage of the vehicle being incorrect, again I tried to take a picture and again it failed, so I went back in to the office to see if the wifi strength would increase and send the picture. It didn't, so I asked the front desk woman for help AGAIN, because at that point I'd been trying to check out this truck FOR 50 MINUTES. She said "wasn't Frank helping you?" I told her he got angry and left halfway through the inspection, so she got someone else to help me. After A FULL HOUR I was finally underway. I ALMOST didn't make my elevator reservation time for my move because of the delay. When I got back, staff tried to charge me for 39.7 MILES at $0.79 per mile instead of 39.7 KILOMETERS at $0.49 per km. It took a full half hour to sort that out as well. I can forgive the rudeness/grumpiness of your staff because I'm sure you provide shitty working conditions at minimum wage, but your check-in process needs to be fixed and over-charging people for miles instead of kilometers and hoping they won't notice is NOT COOL. I wonder how many other people you overcharged that day and didn't notice? It's quite the racket you have going!HEIDI F.

I won't recommend U-Haul to anyone in my circle. I have moved from one city to another and my drop off location was selected as per my choice on the day when I took the truck rental. When I went to Phantom Tires in Surrey to return back the truck they said they cannot take back my truck as they do not have space but the yard was empty and the store owner was playing playstation and was talking to me while playing which was so unprofessional. I called customer care where the agent told me to go to another location and no help was provided by the agent. I have given another location to return the equipment where I went and again they told me to return to a different location, went to third location and they told me they also do not have space. Lastly, I called again to customer service where the agent who was a scheduling representative was so rude to me that instead of empathy just started saying go to King George location. I again went to King George location and then my truck was retuned.Raghu N.

Why is it that I was able I reserve a storage unit online and had everything setup ready for a specific move-in date only to learn from the location staff that my reservation is not guaranteed and it's still first come-first serve basis which made me panic to rush down to the location to pay-in advanced just to hold my unit ahead of the date that I actually need to start the rental on. When I first opened the storage their was a transition in management. The alarm system was due for an upgrade it kept going off after hours even when i had 24h access. The management seems to change over often doesn't make U-Haul look very good to us renters. Upon me moving out i purchased boxes I had to park near King George as the workers had all their trucks parked In front of the main doors and visitor parking. I was struggling carrying the boxes out to my car and the 2 employee's standing talking one on their phone in front of the door backed out of my way rather than offering to help me. Then on moving out day again the trucks were parked in front of the loading doors. I asked if he could move the truck he said no not really and their was 3 empty spots for the truck. i lost my keys and was told i could gain access to the locker myself by bolt cutters, grinder or locksmith. i had tools so i chose that option. ended up causing a little damage to the door and they charged me almost 1000.00 to replace the door and did not accept any responsibility for the employee that told me i was able to cut the lock myself by sharing the cost of the replacement or anything. they are extremely rude men that work there and have horrible customer service and people skills.phylisia r. | Overall Experience
The facility was maintained and clean however parking there was absolutely horrendous. They had way too many trucks parking around with rarely any parking spots open for our regular cars when we needed something from our storage units. Upon move out tbe staff was absolutely terrible and rude. We had 4 storage months for about a year paying over $400 a month for the units and when we went to move out the staff kept being rude to us because we we had our truck parked in front so we could load.
