FRANCINE L.Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The facility had some issues. First, the parking situation was poor, making it difficult to access the storage facility. The parking lot was small, and there were many trucks and inadequate spaces to park near the storage facility. The sliding latch on the storage unit didn’t work properly for the duration of the month. I waited in a long line at least twice to alert someone. There was no way to call for help from the back. No one answers a phone locally. Lastly, the double doors were never accessible, forcing customers to use a single door, unless they waited in the long line in the front to notify a U-Haul rep, or the customer happened to catch a rep in the parking lot.

Fredy C.Have gas in the truck. Truck was given to me pretty much on empty. There is a gas station right next door to the location so it would be convenient and considerate to provide trucks with gas. Also its impossible to get anyone on the phone at the Tustin location. They had all calls forwarded to the 800 number. Even when the UHaul customer service tried to call the managers cell phone it went to voice mail and no one returned the call. Don't say "please call me if you have any issues" if you don't mean it and know you don't answer your phone.

IVAN P.Had a customer at this location I was very upset with the people in management in that facility I am a Vietnam veteran and I asked for a veterans discount that the other location in Newhall provides all the years that I've been renting trucks never a traitor to do what I needed they were so rude not honor me my service through my country as we both know the owner of U-Haul also was a veteran which are magazines showing veterans pictures and stories about them it's a shame that I couldn't get a discount on my needs I will never use that location again I will go to another locations far away because I have found other locations very friendly and honorable to those veterans not just myself but those who serves our nation and fought for this country Freedom especially the owners of U-Haul I hope you will bring this to their attention that the freedom they have to work and earn money for their families with Sacrifice by so many other veterans and some gave all for the freedom that we have today and it should be honored thank you

Joseph K.I rented a uhaul van to move donation items for a fundraiser. My pickup time was 830am. I arrived just after 8am and waited an hour to be helped. I did the on-line check in to speed up the process but computers were not working properly and the employee complained that she was the o only one working that morning. She felt bad and gave me additional time with the vehicle, which I did not need since I had a specific appointment for our fundraiser. The truck was given to me on empty. The hour long wait to get the vehicle I had reserved, plus the extra stop so I wouldn't run out of gas made me late for my appointment. The truck did not drive over 55 mph and it sounded like it had never been serviced. I returned the vehicle early with more gas than it had when I received it. The employee at the drop off area said he could take $14 for my trouble but the employee inside wouldn't approve it. She said she would put my contract on hold, and contact her manager for approval. She had me write down my number but never called. Instead I was charged the full amount. I contacted the manager, Edgar, but I have not received a response. This level of customer service is disappointing. I didn't feel valued at all as a customer. There are many choices for rentals in the area. It's too bad this location doesn't care about return customers.

The app is great when it works, just doesn't always work.

Left unit wide open and cleaned out on 03/09/2022

Also, there is others storage rental properties that would make your life easier having elevators with a lower cost per rental. In regards the Homeless guy I think he lives in the unit.

So we ask the guy (an employee?) inside and he said storage hours is closed despite the website saying it closes at 10PM; we were there at 9PM. I managed to figure out which keypad and gained access to the storage facility; we started moving my stuff into my storage unit. Soon after, he called the cops for burglary. We had to explain to the cops everything. Bottom-line is, the person inside the facility did not even know when the storage hours of operation are and was rude/extremely unprofessional. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else moving in late at night.

My only concern was that there was no room to unload storage items because the parking lot was full of the Uhaul trucks and trailers. It’s seemed as if the company doesn’t care much about the storage part but more of the trucks and trailer rentals. If there can be a better way to load and unload storage I believe you’ll get better Buisness. Thanks!

We had to find a location with an available unit and then come back to return the truck. The staff member who worked with us was very apologetic, and she was very helpful in directing us to an alternative location, but it was still inconvenient for our reservation to have been over-looked.

It wasn’t until my daughter noticed a line on the wall and lined it up with the mark that I was able to apply the lock. I don’t think anyone should have to go through that. Had she not noticed I would have gave up and reported in broken. There’s no way everyone will recognize that marking.

When we called to confirm Sarah was able to fix the issue and went above and beyond to get us moved in! We thought we were going to have to park our truck full of belongings somewhere once we arrived and hope they weren’t stolen but Sarah got us all set up with a unit and even after leaving the office she sent us information to get us all set up for after hours move in. She deserves a huge kudos and a raise!
