Staff was friendly and location is clean however the doors to enter the storage were broken on several different occasions when we went to access our storage. We were forced to extend another month when we drove over 2 hours to empty it and the key pad code was not working, again. Extremely inconvenient to have a storage unit you can't access as you please, especially when it's two hours from where you live.tom m. | Overall Experience

The gentlemen was rude. If I have an account and you have my card on file .Why do I need to drive from Willits to Ukiah just to present my card when a co-worker is driving the van. I have not had to do this at any UHaul location.Never got a receipt. They never answer the phone. My co-worker watched as the phone rung and no one answered it even though they were not busy with a customer.Celina L.

First of all I read from the U-Haul in Ukiah quite frequently I have a client that lives in other side of Philo California so it makes more sense for me to rent in Ukiah then it would here in Santa Rosa however I made a reservation for a pickup truck on Tuesday of this week unfortunately yesterday I found out through an email that my pickup truck turned into a cargo van when I called to find out why apparently your system kicked me out for some reason they couldn't explain it and gave it my pickup to someone else and then, they said they'd try to text me the only text message I got was from today for reservations and stuff which everything got changed however my reservation is supposed to have been guaranteed I called to confirm and it was so since it was your system that kicked me out and rented my truck to someone else. So I think the $50 credit would greatly be appreciated to compensate me because I had to use a cargo van instead of a pickup truck, which was supposed to be a guaranteed rental, hopefully I'm still entitled to that right?CHARLES H.
My only complaint is when I tried to call the phone number for the Ukiah office, I was routed through a ridiculous phone tree that finally told me I would be on hold for 41 minutes. I tried to call them several times to tell them we would be later than expected but was not able to get through to this office. I was calling the local Ukiah number.Doris E.

The service was horrible! They guy was rude from the day I rented the truck and for the call of it being late. I tried calling to ask for a couple hours extension and tried to do online extension No answer on 800#. Call dropped after waiting 30 min. Truck was filthy in cab and inside back. I just cried after I got the phone call. So rude service and the truck sounded like a lawn mower and lagged. So greatful I wasn't going out of town. This was very stressful, I just needed to put my furniture in the truck to get carpet replaced.MYCHELL A.

Yes and no, the person that helped me to recieve the Truck (5/22/21) at about 4:30 ish p.m. was very helpful and understanding. But the following day (5/23/21) around 12:30ish p.m. the guy that assisted me was a Jerk, not understanding Rude, I would recommend all not to do business when it is his shift to work, He's very cold and Matter of fact not willing to work with youJENNIE S.

David and the staff I have interacted with at this location is awesome and over the top helpful! It is unfortunate that Uhual isn't doing anything to help support this location as it is always busy but seems understaffed. Even with that they were able to help me get access to my boxes when I needed (as my one month of not having a home turned into 4 unexpectedly). They are doing the job of 10! My disappointment in service is with the Uhual company and their lack of consistent communication on the main line that I would get bumped to, getting different answers each time I called and being on hold for over 30 mins every single time before talking to someone. I was also disappointed that I was not notified when I was purchasing the uboxes that the normal services weren't available at this location (when I purchased I was in a different state). I got the uboxes because of the things advertised, we should be notified before purchasing if this is different for the location we are choosing. I have used Uhual for pretty much every move over the last 10 years and this is the first time I have ran into so many obstacles.TED D.

The truck had stuff all over the back end and the windshield etc of the front was not cleaned. Truck photos were not of the truck I rented or very old. Truck ran great. Always a problem when renting from you. This time, 6 calls, hours on hold, had to pay cash to get my truck because credit card machine and national call line were down. Had to change original rental to different county because â€œSurpriseâ€ the truck I reserved wasn't actually available. Get it together Uhaul!James E.
This was the worst service of all times. The U-Haul in Ukiah held my boxes until June 6th even though I received an email that my boxes were shipping out on May 31st. My boxes arrived late which caused me to have to cancel my unloading help and cost me more money. U-Haul's big WOOP of $50 is a joke. I will never use UHaul again and will inform everyone what a loosey company they are. This is NOT my first bad experience with them either.Eric H.

The waiting times were longer than expected due to more customers needing propane fill-ups. But I was able to use the app. Though the check-in process on the app seemed more time-consuming than doing it in person. The manager was very nice. The guy I met at the counter first was pretty arrogant. He was slouched back in the seat on his phone when I got there. Even while I was talking to him he was slouched back in his chair. I thought it was very unprofessional. I had an issue with my driver's license and asked if I went and got a duplicate from the DMV would it be okay, and the gentleman said yes. I ran over to the DMV and was able to get a duplicate copy. When I cane back40 min layer, I had already explained that I brought my wife's license in earlier because I couldn't find mine and we were both driving the trailer back from Santa Rosa area. I had driven an hour north from Santa Rosa to Ukiah to pick up a trailer, because there were no trailers in all of the Santa Rosa area that we're able to go North one way. I explained to him that I was from up North where I live inn Humboldt county and was in the Santa Rosa area trying to find a trailer, and had left my license at home. When I came with a duplicate copy, he asked me if I had a picture ID license, and I said no I was had already explained to him and that I was from out of the area and had left my drivers license at home or couldn't find it. I was surprised he was asking me again when he already knew the story of my license not being with me. I thought that was not necessary when I had explain the whole situation to him already. He seemed very empowered and disengaged with the situation. Still slouching back in his seat. We walk out to get trailer eventually and he wakls off. He didn't direct me to where I was Supposed to go. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming.Kim P.

Have your employee do their jobs correctly. Upon returning the equipment the employee needs to inspect the equipment, and give the customer a receipt that the piece has been returned on time or early as in my case. NOT LIP SERVICE. Your company texted me and called me days apart asking where their equipment was because you believe that I still had it. I got an email with a returned equipment receipt 3 days after I returned the equipment. And in fact the receipt is a LIE!!!! I did not return the piece 3/19/21 @ 4:00 PM, I returned it on 3/18/21 @ 11:55 AM. I have a phone record of my wife calling me at the time I was returning the equipment.RICHARD C.

The truck was not left for me at the time that i needed it. I had to wait two hours. The same thing happened the time before. I was not notified, either time, until i tried to pick it up. The truck that i got had a ramp that was barely usable. It was incredibly difficult to get in and out, which added a significant amount of time and effort to the move.Wulf P.

If a customer calls and an agent says they will update the contract over the phone; follow through and do this, so the service rep at the counter does not have to. This again, for the third time left my order inaccurate, and nearly charged me 3x more than the reserved quote online the night before while on the phone with the agent.Alex T.

I returned my pick up truck and a car hauler on Feb 13th. I pulled up to the return area and no one was there. Had to wait a bit when finally two people showed up, jumped in to the two vehicles ahead of us to make room for the truck and car hauler I had. When they approached me, the guy comes at me aggressively, what did you haul on the trailer. I said a car. Rolls his eyes says what kind of car. I told him an Altima. She says I got a call that an armada was seen being unloaded and the pick up truck went off the ground. How unprofessional! I dropped my car off at auto repair shop. The girl looking over the truck yells out YOU HAVE DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK HERE. it wasn't damage to the truck, literally the $19.99 a day sticker somehow got a scratch mark on it, but still very much able to read what it said. She says do you want to use the card on file and I answered yes she immediately charged it when I was talking to her about the miles that I already paid for and feel as ifI was being double charged for. It was really inconvenient having to bring the truck back to Ukiah which was 200 miles away from where I was staying and there is literally a UHAUL office less than 5 miles away.AMY G.

My access code never worked. One time my lock was on a different storage unit. Nobody could tell me how that happened. When I moved out and wanted my money back for my months that were prepaid they told my that I couldn't get it back.
