This is a second time that U-Haul is tried to do the nickle and dime routine. They ask us if we want to do ditigaly or counter. I chose counter because the cell coverage sucks in our area which doesn't want to download the capacity of the uhaul website which in term you guys charge fees for whatever reason. Then I get in the truck which the counter person say 3/4 full then I look which is a few gallons short of 3/4. I expressed this to the person helping me before we even step into uhaul that this is the stuff U-haul does. Your employees are using the vehicles for whatever reason(offline) for a couple of miles then trying to pass the gas cost of to the next customer. I will be filing a conplaint the the State Attorney General office and ask for a review.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable; truck was well maintained and the cab was clean, but the cargo bay still smelled of marijuana. We live in an area that is notorious for legal and illegal marijuana grows so it is not surprising. However, either additional deodorant or cleaning needs to be to eliminate the strong smell. It is not appropriate to be moving family furniture and clothing and be left with residual weed scent on items.
Pauls KEntrance and exits to this site are horrible. The physical driveways are stupid up hill and does not promote large trucks moving in and out. Seems organized, but overcrowded. The store was closed, so no interaction. My return was easy on the website.

WILLIAM RUhaul as a company is horrible.. You trucks are loud cheap lumber wagons. Rent a Penske and you'll know what I mean. This was a local move and there is a dealer close to home...only by 5 miles but I wanted to give this lady the business. THE DAY BEFORE I got a call stating I'd have to drive 1hr plus, 68 miles to to pick up an available truck.. Never again for a truck.

I did forget to do the walk around before leaving and when I dropped it off that location tried to tell me it was my fault and I told them it was that way when I picked it up. The drop off location called the pick up location and got confirmation that the vehicle was damaged be fore I picked it up and that they indeed didn’t update the vehicle history.

DANIEL CMy only comment is that the second floor storage units are up a full flight of stairs. This makes it difficult for carrying heavy items upstairs. The staff were excellent, helpful and kind. Wish we could find something on the lower level with them.

Valerie CService was incredibly slow the first time I picked up containers and the employee didn’t know how to operate the system. The other two times I picked up were fine. This part has nothing to do with this location but U-Haul in general. UBox containers weren’t available in the town I lived in and the closest one was 40 miles away. I was going to have UHaul deliver them until they quoted me $1600! So I made three trips to pick up 4 containers, maybe cost me $125 in gas. A $1600 delivery charge is ridiculous, especially when they can deliver all of them in one trip.

MARK CThe guy came out and looked at the hook ups because I told him the lights weren’t working. He check it himself and validated that I was correct. As to where the guy at the Tennessee location where I picked up, dismissed me telling him they weren’t working and said you just can’t tell because the sun was shining on the lights.

JENNIFER DI just had my worst experience renting equipment. I've rented from uhaul locations all over the west coast along with trucks and equipment from other providers. I gave feedback to the store and they don't seem to care. I was told the truck had "about" 3/4 tank of fuel. I noted it was below that level and thought the approximation was for that reason. No, it seems not. I refilled the tank to the same level and was charged for fuel. The rep put that back on me because it seems I failed to do thier job and complete an inspection of my own before leaving the facility. Should I have checked the oil, too?! The truck is needing maintenance. A sun visor fell off as I pulled out of the uhaul parking lot! The rear tires were not properly inflated, causing a dash warning and poor performance. The rear tires are nearly bald and failed to maintain traction at times. This was a problem when going up a gently sloped driveway. The cab doors would barely close. If this is representative of the fleet then I am concerned. I've lost my faith in uhaul equipment and customer service seems to be dismissive. I was offered roadside assistance for the bald tires when I called in. It was offered that they would come to my location and replace the tires. I would expect maintenance to be done "off-hours" and not during my rental. The experience was disappointing and being scammed for 3 gallons of fuel on top of that was, frankly, quite insulting.

BEVIN KReturn was silly. In my other transactions with U-Haul I just parked it under the tent and dropped my key in the box, the online check in was annoying and redundant. It was complicated by weak reception. There was a Trailer taking up the entire drop off area were i was to leave the truck. So I just parked were ever. Overly complicated especially e we hen your tired from moving and driving all day

Daniel MThere was something wrong with the gas tank which I did not discover until I was hundreds of miles away. The gas nozzle would "eject" from the truck, three different times, three different gas stations, and gasoline would spurt out down the side of the truck and the first time, all over my left leg and shoe. When I attempted to fill the gas tank to return the truck, the gas tank would stop the pump indicating the tank was full. This meant I went to drop off the truck and the tank was only 3/4 full. I had to find a 2nd gas station and force the nozzle to override the gas tank turn off, at least 10 times, to get a full tank. I'm concerned the individuals who accepted the truck back didn't report the gas tank issue and wrote it off as customer error. This customer has been filling gas tanks for 34 years and has NEVER had three different nozzles from three different stations get EJECTED out of the vehicle and spray gas all over. I figure the gas tank shutting off the nozzle indicating the tank was full, is just UHAUL making money as the customer thinks the tank is full, returns the truck, discovers it's not, and won't be bothered going and topping of the tank and just pays the UHAUL gas fees.
MELISSANNE GI never got the hitch. Ever time I went in to see if they had it they said no and that they would call me. I never received a call and I never got the hitch.
Tracy DSign at return said to wait for a rep to come process the return. After 5 minutes waiting, I tracked down an employee and asked if I could do the app instead of waiting. Worked out well. Need better instructions for returns.

JASON HI am in the middle of moving and i had a emergency where i had to stayvand wait at my stotage for a couple of hrs and one of the employees came to my unit and was very rude telling me it looked like i was trying to live in my unit and i explained i just had to wait a couple of hers due to anemergency where my husband had to take the car and go...and was treated like he did not care and told me i xould never soend time here again! Im appalled at the way i was treated like a degenerate who has nothing better to do that live in storage facilities !emergencies happen and i do hope i will be allowed axcess to my things and. Not put on a five minute time limit as to how long i can be here im..i thought this was a nice plaxe with courteous people who work here...i am disapointed... ukiah calif

MICHAEL C | First ImpressionsI have typically had a great experience with U-Haul. Both for vehicle rentals and storage units. I had some issues with both at this location. 1) due to circumstances beyond my control, I showed up with my rental truck to place my belongings in a storage and return my truck. Little did I know, when I arrived at the hours staff were on site to unload, there was no elevator to get upstairs. In addition, I was provided the smallest unit for my free month even though I asked staff if a larger unit was available. I was told there was not (but I could clearly see units unused, and remained unused during the duration I stored my belongings there). I believe they did not want to give me a larger unit for my free month. I've never experienced this before. And because I had a very full truck, it took me almost 2 hours longer than expected walking heavy boxes up stairs and trying to make everything fit in my tiny unit. I returned my truck and was charged an entire additional day! Even though I saw the truck I returned was not critically needed seeing as their lot has ample numbers of 10 foot trucks...and mine sat around for quite some time, unused! I requested a refund, and was refused. Again, very disappointed. U-Haul typically has been very accommodating...but this rental experience was the worst I've had. I was never provided a card to access the building and was never made aware in my coming and going, that it was typically offered. I wasn't aware that technology was on site until another guest was curious why I was waiting for the staff to arrive and unlock! I then obtained one. Upon my renting the unit, it should have been offered as part of my perks. To have longer access hours. The staff...David, the General manager, was kind and accommodating. Most of the staff were friendly enough, but several of them do a lot of sitting around when the property could have been attended to for cleanliness, such as vacuuming. David was always busy and worked very long hours, while most of his staff sat around looking bored. I appreciate the kindness David extended, for reasons I won't go into. He knows what I'm referring to, and it won't be forgotten. But the above issues were my experience and observations in truth, and I honestly hope I never have to use this location for rental purposes again. I wasn't going to respond to the request for feedback, but this morning I had about 4 more requests to do so...so, here you go. Not what you were probably hoping for.
