FREDDY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FROM THE MOMENT I STEPPED FOOT OM THE LOT TO THW MOMENT I DROVE OFF. He is an exceptional employee and would give him a 5 star rating. Please give him a raise or promotion because he would do amazingly well as a trainer. Apart from that Uhaul came in clutch because I made the reservation within 10 minutes for an immediate need that was unexpected. I would absolutely rent again amd recommend to friends and family.
Rosa CI rented a enclosed trailer and was told to park in a small space with limited area to maneuver. I told the girl that I do not park that will. She right away had a attitude. I asked for a supervisor and was told there was none. She then went into how she is unable to remove the trailer because it is too heavy for her to remove. At that point she stormed off telling me that I will be paying for more rental days because she was not removing the trailer. I then backed up and it took several attempts to back into a spot at a angle due to a truck in north south parking spot blocking the only open spot. Another employee came over and removed the trailer. As of right now I have not recieved my return email. This is the first issue I have had out of 3 in the last 8 months.
CLAUDE FOne of the door handle on the right side of passenger kept falling out was the only thing I was upset about it and it wasn’t mentioned while renting the U-Haul so make sure everything that is operating correctly is mention to customer at the time of use
NANCY TLiz checked me out right at my storage cube, it was awesome not to wait in a line. Most of your employees are good people. Your software sucks, it drops reservations. Cost me 1st months free rent, when I was low on funds. Your prices and availability beats most of your competitors.

YARELIKA NBoth of the people that I interacted with were profoundly rude, and acted annoyed that I was there. In particular, Mike (I think that was his name; older white gentleman, rather thin). He literally yelled at me, and acted pissed off that I couldn’t understand what he wanted me to do (he spoke very quietly, so I had to say “what?” Several times). He also insisted on telling me which way to turn my wheel rather than just pointing where he wanted me to put the trailer, and acted annoyed that I couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell me to do (just guide me back by pointing where you want the trailer). I would not go back to this location given the choice.
LEVI TWorkers are rude , bad attitude, worker did not check my storage unit to see if it was empty. So I had a balance due after moving out

john w1) During the Milwaukee move, MKE movers stole 2 rings (one diamonds and solid gold), and a "Milwaukee" air pump. This has been reported to the Milwaukee Police Department; 2) The staff at U-Haul Traffic and Scheduling were very helpful, professional, and overall knowledgeable of their products and services. We would recommend your corporate services. As for MKE movers, we would recommend contracting with a more reputable firm.

IVETTE T | Overall ExperienceEvery time I called U-Haul, the agent I spoke with was helpful and kind. I had to make a couple changes to my delivery and they were very understanding. The only improvement I'd suggest was on the DELIVERY end (though the driver in California was wonderful - very skilled and nice to work with). I was given my time window for delivery on the selected day, and only AFTER that time window was closed did I learn that delivery would not, in fact, happen the day it was scheduled. Fortunately, that did not cause a huge problem for me, but if I had not been available the next day, no one would have been there to meet the delivery person/ box. It all worked out and I would definitely work with U-Haul again. Thank you!

Originally I was forced to move from one U-Haul location under construction to another for the same size unit (5x5) at a higher price. It was temporary until I found a similar price elsewhere. There was also a puddle of some sort on the driver side floor, and some sort of gooey looking liquid puddling around the bottom part of the seat (near the metal that attaches to the floor).

MAKAILA SWhen I got back using the truck there was a discrepancy on the fuel gauge supposed to be full but it was not exactly full. I mentioned that to the girl that works there when we return the truck Alexis girl. And she adjusted the final quote from the beginning of the original quote. But other than that this is the first time I ever rented a truck and we got a lot done in a short period of time using the truck locally. Alexis should get a merit badge. Thank you U-Haul I will be using your services again a few times this year.

ROBERT SI was overcharged on my debit card. When I returned the vehicle the system was down. I was yold I would receive an email later. I did not receive it. The next day I showed up at the same location got my receipt but was not given any indication when my money will be returned. I was charged 135.00 my bill came out to 53.00. Would like an answer soon.
FREDERICK DWell I didn’t know if this matter but it was a dolly that was loose or broken that was in the back of the truck when I got it so I don’t want them to charge me because I didn’t use it

CATHERINE DI would no longer recommend uhaul to anyone. This is the third time I have rented a truck. I have always had a good experienced in the past. The last time was a year and a half ago. This experience was COMPLETELY different. I got a truck at this very location. There is no longer any sort of customer service. They just tell you the number and send you outside. In the past someone walked outside with you, showed you the truck, looked everything over with you, explained things to you, etc. Now everything is just done with a cell phone. It was awful to be honest. I’m not laying the blame on this specific location as it seems that this is now the new way to do things. But it is not customer service oriented at all. I would seriously consider getting a truck from Penske or anywhere else if I should ever need one again. In addition I was told when I ordered the truck that there was a AAA discount. When I picked up the truck, the clerk and the manager had no idea what I was talking about. I told them I had gotten a discount previously. The clerk actually asked me how to do it as if I should know. Also, I ordered a truck a car transporter at least a month ago if not to. A few days before the pick up date we get a notice that they do not have both of those items at the location I ordered them from. We specifically chose this location because it’s close to our storage unit. So we were being directed to a different location that was completely out of the way and was very inconvenient for us. We ended up getting the truck from this location filling it up and getting a transporter later at the other location. It seems to me since I ordered these things way in advance that the company should have them transferred to the location I ordered them from. I feel it should not be on the customer. THEN because we picked them up separately it became two different contracts. Because my boyfriend was doing the driving the truck ended up in his name despite my being the one who ordered both. After filling the truck with our belongings when I called to ask a question about the transporter. The person who answered the telephone, could not find a reservation for the transporter, told me the reservation had been cancelled and we had to make multiple calls to figure it out. The whole experience was a bit of a nightmare. Not to mention when we picked up the transporter we were just expected to know how to connect it. There was an explanation, but had my boyfriend up in there I would never been able to back up the truck into the trailer and connect it myself. Perhaps because he looked able-bodied they didn’t offer to help or perhaps that’s just how you do things now.

Also said my first months rent was not free. Seemed extra bad since my apartment complex caught on fire last Sunday and I was living in red crshelter for 6 days. I really need to move stuff or I would have walked away.

To one day going in to see my charges almost double. I waited 24 hours as I was going to call. I went into the app and the charge was still then quoted but less so I just paid it. To the staff not being helpful when I had questions to auto emails that were wrong. I could not recommend this service to anyone unless they NO Other option.

SHAKIRA VAll went well. The only issue we had is that the location had difficulty deciding how to deliver the U-Box to our home, the final destination. Because we have a very long, narrow driveway, I must have talked with at least six people before they could decide how to deliver it. The delivery was timely and the driver was pleasant and did a fine job.

AISHA H | Online Move InI rented 2 storage spaces this month, one in the main building and one in building 'E'. The experience was good with the first one. However, despite being checked out and tagged for move-in, the second was dirty, with what appeared to be charcoal ash (from a stored grill?) that should have been swept out. Also, this is an upper level unit in E and the floors have gaps that should be filled in. I nearly dropped the keys to the free disk lock down one such gap while opening the package so I could lock the unit. This was after hours and I would not have been able to contact the office for help. Furthermore, there were no flat carts available in E to unload with. Another party was there and said they had had to get into the adjacent building while it was still open earlier to get carts from there. I had to wait for them to finish despite being pressed for time.

I was gonna give me the access code to swipe my card to get into the building so I had to keep going back-and-forth to the main building to get my car to work. No one wanted to come out and show me how to use it. I had to figure it out on my own so that was pretty frustrating for me on top of trying to move my things into storage but I eventually got it my car to work after numerous of times of contacting the front office and tell them that my card isn’t working.

Which tells me that the building is leaking somewhere. I was told to file it on my renters insurance. I don’t feel that I should have to do that since the issue is with the building. Several hundred dollars of her stuff is now ruined. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone until this issue is fixed.

I spoke to 3 representatives over the phone b4 I came to the location. They all took my info and I booked it 2 times because the 2nd person who 1st took my info never took it because the 3rd rep had to do it because she didn't see it. Then I got there and the rep said I wasn't in the computer. I was told a 5 x 10 for $44 for a special then I get there and its a smaller and wasn't a special. The 5x10 was going to be $60. He got impatient after waiting 10 seconds well I pulled my phone out to get a phone number and told the girl to take care of me well he played with temperate box and left.

The access entrance off of 1st street rarely worked properly, so I was usually limited to accessing my unit during the office's hours. The security was a selling point for me at first, but it ended up being the biggest headache. Without that issue, it would have been five stars, but being able to access storage on evenings and weekends is a pretty big deal.

I have asked to have the red locks taken off my lockers so I can access them and it has not been done even though I have been assured they would be.

The bathrooms needs to be clean more. But other wise than all that i had no other problems. Thanks

Massive line when I walked in last time, zero urgency on part of people working behind the desk. Something told me not to expect my move out to be handled well, and lo and behold, it wasn’t. In the process of moving very heavy boxes of books from the second floor down to a cart on the first floor, a staff member came and took the cart I was using on the second floor on the grounds that ‘they aren’t supposed to be up there.” So my friend and I had to carry each box of books separately all the way down a 75 ft hallway, down stairs, and onto a cart. Super unhelpful and lame. Called U-Haul corporate to ask them to reverse the incorrect charge on my account and they told me to go back to the facility in person because they couldn’t get a hold of them on the phone. Horrible experience and now my rent check might not clear. Thanks, U-Haul!

I thought the storage you reserve was guaranteed the storage you would have. I had visited the store twice prior to the move in to see if I needed to downsize the storage I reserved so twice I was shown the display of how big and the size of the storage which I was purchasing. It was false display of the size and misleading information. So when I came to move in and pay for the storage the young lady that waited on me said I had to units side by side which I didn't understand why and I said ok but was not explained to why and the unit I reserved was not available which I could have went elsewhere for my storage. Didn't realize there was a problem with the unit until the were saying my refrigerator and my chest wasn't going to fit so when I looked at storage I realized that's not what I paid for .So I had one of the staff come over to the storage unit and he didn't understand how to explain the size of the storage to us because I said you rents a 6ft storage to put furniture in this is more for boxes and small items and I went back to the counter for a refund for one of the units and told the staff if I would have known this I would have left with my furniture. But the staff insists that's what I reserved and I told them again who rents something that small and the price of the unit I paid for. I was really upset and dissatisfied with the whole experience at this location because If easy was moving I would have had the uhaul reloaded with all my items. I think the whole staff needs to be retrained on showing someone a display and the sizing of units .Also there were very small carts to use at this particular location which made no sense when a person is unloading. I just know I would never use this location again and as soon as I'm able I will be removing my items from this location.

And I’ve been doing my business with uhaul for 10years this is the worst customer service ever dealing with uhaul…… they were supposed to fix the problem not make more problems for the customer or them selves. In the end you guys be blessed learn how to be more helpful polite respectful and patients with the customers. If you have a customer with a problem at 7:56pm and you close at 8pm fix the issue and then go home supposed to make the customer happy and help the business your working for more money and again keeping customers happy…

The guy gave me a refund faster than they did transferring me to a better unit. After I was charged for a unit that wasn’t ready for me and was dirty and opened when I arrived. The access was nice, I liked the facility, but it wasn't well maintained and was not temperature regulated during the summer. The office folks are also difficult to reach even during normal business hours. The building was secure and I felt that my stuff was safe from theft, I also love the old building.

While dropping off the tow dolly early in order to more easily unload the truck, there was a staff member in the return equipment line. After WE, my husband and I, unhooked the vehicle (with some minor help from the staff due to one of the metal chains, placed by the uhaul person at the pick up location, being stuck), the staff member instructed me to back off the tow dolly, after confirming that I was clear to back up, i began to back the car off the tow dolly and the tow hitch popped up and hit my husband solid in the face. The staff member was standing directly next to him and was watching him. Why did the staff member not warn him to back away or just tell me to wait until my husband was clear of the area? My husband now has loose teeth and likely a facial scar. He is lucky he didn't knock put any teeth or chip them and/or break any bones in his face. The staff was only minorly concerned about the welfare of my husband after the incident. Why was staff not more involved in the return of the equipment? We had to do everything ourselves including unhooking the metal chains, to undoing the ratchet straps, and extending the ramp to drive off the tow dolly. The only thing the staff did was roll the tow dolly out of the was after our vehicle was off the tow dolly and minor help with the stuck metal chain. The tow dolly was also taken off during business hours and we later dropped off the truck after hours following all of the steps outlined. We were told that there would be no issue with dropping of the tow dolly early and the truck to follow. I am just waiting for the staff to not check in the tow dolly. We would love to contact this store directly, but ALL phone numbers lead us to the main uhaul menu, which takes hours to get to the "correct" person, which is not on site at the storage center. The customer service system is terrible as well. The system does not nessicarily get you to the correct representative even if you follow the prompts correctly.

I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because “no one was there” - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20% off, but couldn’t verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can’t confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons! After I move out I will likely not recommend this to anyone else

From the truck I had requested not being available day of (and the staff struggling to think of a solution for over half an hour) to my storage room move out not being processed for over a month. I was sent emails and mail threatening to put a lien on property in the storage unit despite moving out on the 11th of November. I tried calling the Walker's Point location multiple times and was always redirected to the Corporate number. Customer service reps for Corporate sent the Walker's Point location emails to tell them to get in contact with me, but they never did. Finally, I got a final bill yesterday reflecting my move out within the free month, no mention of late fees or anything. I assume it is because the staff finally took the time to actually go to my unit and see that it was cleaned out and empty. I will not be using Uhaul in Milwaukee for future moves. The only good thing you have going for you is being cheaper, but I would gladly pay more money to avoid the headaches I experienced this time around.

As I open my storage unit there is no lock in there so I had to go back up to the front again to get the lock. In the process I received an email my reservation was canceled. When everything was moved into the unit, I dropped off the truck with a gentleman working with the UHaul drop offs. A couple days later I don't see a hold on my card or any money taken out for my UHaul truck. My order was cancelled so I'm dealing with that.

My experience was also poor as the key card I was given after checking it, when swiped to open the door, gave the message "not valid please check in" or something like that...right after I had checked in about 20 min previous. We got lucky and someone walked out and we went in and when opening my storage unit an alarm went off probably because the system didn't know we were in there. Lastly, turning in the truck was an absolute pain because there was no obvious area on the website to turn in the truck as we were there after store hours. I watched your informational video and the "return your truck" button was no where to be found. My girlfriend eventually figured it out but this was after about 45 min of googling things and attempting to call the help line only to be on hold the entire time. The whole experience was terrible and I am also fairly sure I was charged twice for the truck because when turning it in I had to put in my card information again for some random unknown $71 charge after already paying $62 to innitially rent the truck. This payment has yet to show up on a bank statement so I am unsure if it has gone through but if it does there will be an angry phone call. Overall the customer service was amazing and the people were extremely nice and very helpful and made the rental process very easy, but nearly every other part of the experience was ridiculously stressful.

The manager is still actually helpful and knows what is going on however. When I moved in initially I had reserved a second floor unit. On day of move in with a 21 foot truck of household items, the only elevator was inaccessible as it was being painted, majority inconvenient. The manager did help me find a unit on first floor at higher cost. The facility alarm system constantly went off anytime I would access my unit. Initially the badge reader never worked so I was given a PIN number for access.. however it appears the alarm system had issues this spring and would constantly be going off when accessing unit. I tried calling office however no one answered. I pushed the call box and no one responded, it was literally a ghost town. So I can not say the place was secure during this time as no one responded and the alarms just kept sounding. It seems like alarm system now works properly and disarms again while I was moving out in June. I did mobile check out but also confirmed with staff upon leaving because it seems like Uhaul mobile apps do not work as intended. My unit was not processed as moved out until 4 days later.

When I got there on Friday at 6:30 PM with movers who were ready to unload their truck, I was told that there was no record of me in the U-Haul system, and the size unit I needed was unavailable. I ended up having to take a unit at the 611 West Puetz location in Oak Creek. Not ideal, but better than nothing. This delay resulted in the movers going into overtime and leaving with all of my belongings on their truck. I will have to pay a $160 storage fee, and everything will be delivered on Monday. This was a nightmare.

When I got back there was no 26’ truck or 20’ truck. The staff told me they couldn’t help me and offered no explanation why my reservation couldn’t be fulfilled. I had no option other than going with a 10’ truck. That required me to make not 1, but 3 separate trips while moving. 10/10 would NOT recommend using Walkers Point U-Haul reservations.

I then utilized free rental of a storage space for a 7-8 days before we could move my son into his new living space. The staff encountered technical difficulties and my given code and later a card did not work to gain access to the space. Then after we moved out of the space, after informing the attendant of moving out, I later got late notices for not paying for the next month. After sending an e-mail to the individual who sent me the notice with a copy of the ending of the storage rental, I got another notice regarding a lien on the items in storage (which was none). This time I called to complain and it was then taken care of. Also, at times, staff were away from the front desk for extended periods of time such that I could no longer wait.

I originally had a unit that was to small, I changed it the same day for a bigger unit. My movers notified me that same day that they had put some things in the smaller unit and at this time the office was closed. I wasn't able to gain access to the unit. I spoke with the "then manager" David he stated JJ could get me into the unit, since it had a lock and a note stating access was denied for none payment of rent, which David said the cleaning crew had put on. JJ stated he couldn't get me in because he had never seen the kind of lock and they didn't have a key. I continued to stop in and also call David and was told the unit had been rented and no one knew where my thing's were. I spoke to the off site representatives several times also and got no results. I spoke to the "new" manager Elgin regarding my thing's and no results. I also spoke with Elgin regarding a leaking pipe outside my unit that was to be checked on. When I began to move my thing's out I again inquired about my thing's and was told by the "new" manager Joe that I would have to file a police report. After moving my thing's out I called and was connected to an off site representative, and explained that there was damage to my couch from the pipe that I was attempting to try and use the move out online feature and wasn't able to, and I also sent a message from the site to the "now" manager Joe and got no response. She stated she would send a message also and I explained I had been trying to reach the office regarding the leaking and the damage, was told I would have to speak to the office and I explained I wasn't able to get through any time I called. The representative transferred me to customer care and I still never spoke with anyone. This has been my only option to express my concerns fully and it has been 5 day's since leaving the email for the manger and 4 day's since the off site representative sent her message. My overall experience was horrible after 16 months of storing my thing's and the continued staff turn over and no results regarding my concerns.

I called several more times and also showed up in person twice and was assured that both units were cancelled by the manager. I still continue to receive calls. Ridiculous!

After acquiring the truck & transferring some tools from my car, I had to return to office to arrange accessing storage unit to apply my disc lock (note: the only kind allowed), & Elton noticed my return to line & promptly asked me what I needed. He let know where to meet him, walked me to the unit, opening inspection, & applying my lock. I appreciated that quick help, so I could get on with my day. A pretty good experience & 1 month storage unit rental free with truck. Thanks Thaddeo & Elton!

I was told they would email it to me by Sunday 3/1/20 and as of today I have not received it. I called them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and can never get through to that location. The Uhaul service rep said she has emailed my storage location (1500 south 1st street, Milwaukee, WI 53204) but has not received a response either.
