Vehicles should be inspected more regularly to ensure safety features are working properly. During my move it started raining, which is when I discovered that the headlight switch was not in place, as in, there was an empty whole the it should have been, and I had no lights.

The truck that I rented had a sun visor that was not secured properly and repeatedly dropped blocking my view of the road....dangerous!!! The clip to secure the sun visor was loose.

Rental paperwork should include fuel tank capacity since gas gauge doesn't work unless engine is on. This forces renters to guess at the correct amount of fuel, increasing likelihood of over- or under-filling tank before returning vehicle.

RE: Order/Reservation 25030147 Suggestions: -Encourage customers to bring a print out of their online reservation to the store. The morning of MAY 31st, I called the Store, 414-383-7735 to verify that the reservation was going to be available. Celeste confirmed the order and that the order was ready for pick up at 2 pm. Celeste made notation that I may be 15-30 minutes late for the scheduled pick up time. On MARCH 10th 2017, I created a reservation using your website. My order/reservation confirmation #20530147 indicates a pick up at 2 pm on MAY 31st for a 10 foot truck and safe move protection. The contract customer service rep at the store, assigned me a van and explained that my reservation did not indicate a 10' truck and that there were no 10' truck available. I explained that the Van would not accommodate my needs. The Customer Service involved the supervisor, who asked me when I placed the reservation, which was 2 months ago. The supervisor then instructed the customer service rep to look up the reservation. It was confirmed that I reserved a 10' foot truck. However, both the supervisor and the CS rep indicated that they do not have any 10' truck available. ( the supervisor grumble about how reservation center consistently overbooks their store ) I maintained that I reserved this 10 ft truck 2 months ago and that the van would not accommodate my needs. I then advised her that there has been a 10 ft truck in the parking lot since this process started, another is currently being checked in. The supervisor instructed her to assign me a 10 ft truck that was ordered by any customer after March 10th 2017, being my order date. Once the third contract was completed, the customer service rep presented me with a insurance waiver. I explained that my order indicated safe move. Again, she explained that my reservation did not indicate Safe move. This is not the type of customer experience I expect from u-Haul.

I was happily surprised at the professionalism & courtesy of everyone at this facility. The vehicle was in great condition, very clean, and operated perfectly.

I rented a trailer and Kiersten had no idea how to set up the hitch. I had the wrong ball size and if I hadn't pointed it out he would have let me drive off with a loose trailer. He then sold me the wrong ball and had no idea how to install it. He also didn't recognize that the receiver was flipped the wrong way and made the tongue of the trailer sit too low. I didn't notice until we were loading and at that point we just had to deal with it. But the trailer didn't ride right, it was very close to scraping, and it wasn't very safe. The other employee was angry, impatient, and installed the ball on the hitch too loose so it worked its way loose. If he hadn't put the cotter pin in below the nut the hitch would have fallen off. Regardless, I ended up with a ruined ball and receiver. For a company with 1/2 of its business model being renting trailers, these employees screwed up just about every part of a trailer rental possible. I certainly won't be renting from this location ever again.
