Very little needs to be done to improve. I especially appreciated the clear signage directing me where to take the truck when it was time to return it. Also, not related to this location specifically, I liked the feature that allows me to use my smart phone to both rent & return. It sped things up immeasurably.

It was short staffed and the wait time standing in line was too long. I stood in line almost an hour. I paid for a storage unit and got someone else’s storage, then I had to return to get the correct storage unit. The 24 access was ok but no cards available to use. Now I got my storage unit corrected. I’m satisfied overall.

It never fails that Uhaul stores often appears to be understaffed. The gentleman working the counter the morning of Sunday, October 25 had such a great spirit and pleasant attitude. Unfortunately, he had to do it ALL! He was literally running from the computer out to the trucks to make sure they were equipped. The line was so long and moved slow. I asked if people didn't show for work, and he replied “no, this is how the day was scheduled.” Staffing up would have made his day easier and our experience more smooth.

The guy working was alone and clearly overwhelmed with customers. The truck we originally got did not have a driver side mirror and we waited over an hour for this to be resolved. We ended up getting another truck but the contract was not updated. When I went to return the truck the tire pressure sign was low so I could not properly see the miles I had accumulated from the trip. So I had to just drop the keys in the dropbox and hope for the best. The guy working was very nice and it was not his fault at all but there should be more than 1 person working on saturday.

I had a horrible experience at Uhaul. My pick up time was 10:00 and didn't leave with the truck until 11:30. No one said “sorry for the wait” or greeted me friendly. When I got the truck there was no pad lock on it so my belongings could have been stolen. Everyone else standing in line seemed to have an issue with their order as well.

Have representative stay one on one. My representative started my process and then left to help somebody else and sent somebody different to help me finish my process. And then my representative walked away a couple times to help somebody else who needed help.

the sales and gentelman hooking up the trailer were great. When I returned it, they were super helpful and made the experience fast and easy. There was one employee, not counter or one hooking up trailer that kept coughing without a mask, complaint about smoking too much that came out from the office. Everyone else was masked and he was not. With a team that was so great, he really Brought the place down.

I tripped over a bike rack. Scratched my face and they had no first aid kit available. This was a very bad situation. For a class organization as this I thought this was not good. This should be available at all times as a safety tool. I BLAME the manager for this major mistake and it should be corrected at once .

The "contact-less" option of walking yourself through the app was very confusing. The step by step did not make sense and the instructions were not clear. I had to go into the store to ask for help and ended up just picking up the keys and going through the process with the associate. The keys were in the store anyway, so it doesn't seem like contact-less renting was actually a real option.

drop off for a trailer was tough, the area was blocked by others returning trucks. Long line, so dropped it on a different spot. But more so, the p/u and the gentleman that confirmed the correct hookup was awesome. Really great service.

Maintain vehicles so that the car battery doesn't die, requiring your customers to ask strangers on the street for a jump because it's too difficult to get in touch with your roadside assistance. And have staff that actually cares that this happened when the vehicle is finally returned.

Terrible customer service. Line was a mile long left my vehicle with more gas than I took it with and was charged $20 for after hours service. Home Depot is a better option.

Eliminate phone wait times, stay in CONSTANT communication with customers whose items and money you have, help customers understand how much truly fits inside a container (since we don't do this daily like you do), and treat customers like human beings with lives instead of putting us at the mercy of your policy.

My only complaint was when they delivered I asked for the door to face the driveway and they placed the door facing the fence. We had a very tight opening to remove items and couldn't open the door completely to unlooad couch. Until we had 10 people push the box so we could open the door to get the couch out.

I did not realize I still needed to check-in @ desk when picking-up my rental, or I would have arrived earlier as it was pretty busy. Once at counter things went pretty well, as we went through both trunk rental & storage rental contracts separately. Thaddeo(?) was my service rep & did a good job; he was patient to repeat some things for me as I am a little hard of hearing. After acquiring the truck & transferring some tools from my car, I had to return to office to arrange accessing storage unit to apply my disc lock (note: the only kind allowed), & Elton noticed my return to line & promptly asked me what I needed. He let know where to meet him, walked me to the unit, opening inspection, & applying my lock. I appreciated that quick help, so I could get on with my day. A pretty good experience & 1 month storage unit rental free with truck. Thanks Thaddeo & Elton!

Only moved things out because I could no longer pay for two storages and I would’ve preferred everything to be in the Uhaul storage facility but the other storage unit was jam packed and would’ve been more of a huge undertaking putting it all in the uhaul unit...pricing is better at Uhaul, hours are way better, access more convenient and staff always been kind and very helpful!!!!

The person working during my check-in did not know what they were doing. They had me pay for a lock before I got into my unit, even though there already was a lock in my unit when I arrived and I shouldnt have had to buy one. There is also a large pole running through my unit that makes storing things difficult and takes up quite a bit of space. I will be trying to find an alternate storage unit facility when places open up.

We completely cleaned out the storage on Saturday February 29, 2020 and requested a move-out receipt at the store counter. I was told they would email it to me by Sunday 3/1/20 and as of today I have not received it. I called them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and can never get through to that location. The call gets forwarded to another Uhaul service center. The Uhaul service rep said she has emailed my storage location (1500 south 1st street, Milwaukee, WI 53204) but has not received a response either. I’ve been emailing customer service but they can’t locate the account. This is very frustrating! I still need proof we moved out on Saturday 2/29/20 so that we’re not charged for March.

I don't understand how they're still in business, when they all have VERY poor customer service skills, they're rude and argumentative with CUSTOMERS!! Rat droppings on all totes and boxes. The boxes I bought from Uhaul storage did not hold well at all. The mice also chewed into my boxes. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL STORAGE AGAIN!

Always had issues.When I moved my stuff outta my first unit in their "new" building it was infested with rat poop/stunk.Prior manager before the current manager Tim was horrible.Was always something.

With my daughter graduating from UWM, I was in need of a last minute change in moving plans. Everyone was friendly, even though it's very busy this time of year. I was taking care of! Thanks !

There was a surprising amount of mouse feces in my unit when I moved out. Since I didn’t store anything that would attract nice, I was a little concerned of the cleanliness. Otherwise, it was good.
