Juan C.It was 45 minutes from when I arrived to when I drove away with my trailer. I waited in line, then was told someone would come out to the parking lot and help me. They never came. Eventually I went back in to get help. I included a trailer light adapter on my order but I had to remind the staff I already paid for it. The trailer door and latch need to be lubricated. The latch kept freezing shut. Drop off was quick and easy, thank you.

Jonathan D.There were more pads than needed, had to give about 20 of them to the pickup driver. The only thing I would recommend is a process to get an update for arrival 15 minutes prior to arrival. It could be something simple like pulling over to make a call to gps tools that could automate it.

ROBERT R.The temperatures got way above what they were supposed to (I have pictures from multiple trips of the thermometer) and there was a dead rat in my storage unit (I have pictures of that too). I had boxes and things that suffered damage as a result of the extreme >100F temperatures in the building. I feel like I didn't get what I paid for in that regard. The access was nice, I liked the facility, but it wasn't well maintained and was not temperature regulated during the summer. The office folks are also difficult to reach even during normal business hours. The building was secure and I felt that my stuff was safe from theft, I also love the old building.

MARK P.We were charged an extra fee even though we had issues returning the key after hours to their lockbox. In order to return it, our phone location has to be on, their website kept giving us an error msg saying it couldn't locate us, so the second option was to scan their barcode on their main door and check in that way… well it kept giving us the same error msg!!! I took the time to screenshot and send an email to management. Not only did they not respond, but then charged us $22 extra for being late!

Charles K.The Walkers Point personnel did a great job. I initially rented a cargo van to help a friend move, but it turned out to be a much bigger job. So I switched to a 15' truck. The check-in process for the van was simple, since it was almost brand new but did have one large dent on the side, which was marked with a sticker, saying insurance claim. When I switched to the truck it was pretty old and had significant dents on every corner. It took several minutes photograph and note them all on the digital check-in. It would have sped up the process a lot if those were already noted, or had identifying stickers on them. The truck did drive well and got the job done, so overall the experience was very good. Thank you

Michelle S.Worst service ever! I will never use U-Haul again. And, because of the issues the local store is blaming the mover for the issues. The movers were exceptional in every way. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and worked very hard to make a bad situation caused by U-Haul a better one.

Bryce D.While I was irate with your staff at the location, it was justified. The manager was not cooperative nor efficient. A simple 2-3 hour move took almost 7 hours waiting to obtain unboxes and have them unloaded and stored. Help was not available and had left for the day. Uboxes were not available at the time movers tried to pick them up. The moving company and their movers were EXCEPTIONAL. They were patient, kind and efficient. They should have not been delayed as they were to get my job completed. Also, your order in-take department made several attempts to get the order completed. They still managed to mess up the process. I just hope all will be delivered on 1/12.

Tony G.I have rented U haul trucks for many many years. 3 times in the last 4 years Usually a good experience. Last two times NOT SO MUCH Last truck had transmission problems, sucked gas like a race car and just over all a piece of crap. This truck much better was clean and ran good. Customer service NO SO MUCH !! We only made 1 trip with the truck for a total of 19 miles When we returned it she insisted we put 335 miles on it. the wanted to charge for gas usage. I nput over $20 in before i returned it. Luckily I took pictures of the dash before I left and when I returned it. She couldn't argue with that but was VERY upset that she had to change all the paper work which happened to be there mistake ( or was it ?? ) similar experience with the last truck as well. After I left I got the feeling that it wasn't a mistake but common practice and the poor schmucks Who don't take pictures to cover themselves GET SCREWED. Once Shame on me Twice shame on you. So if this is what to expect from U haul I won't be back. If your centers need to steal from your customers in order to make a profit maybe you need get involved Thom Dangelo '

Carmen N.Original Location was 5310 W state St. They called on Friday and told me the location for pick-up was changed to 3230 W Lisbon. When I got there on Saturday no one was there. The place was run down and the truck I wanted was there and unlocked. the inside was filthy, and I was unable to get a key. I went to the state street location and the person there made the reservation for me at 1500 S 1st Street. He did a great job! When I got to 1st street, I was told I would need extra mileage and was charged extra. I wasted almost two hours of my time and took me 10 miles round trip out of my way. I did not need the extra miles yet still was charged for them. Not happy at all about the Lisbon Street experience. I returned the truck with extra fuel because where the person at 1st street marked the fuel level was not right. The e-mailed level was correct. Would like follow-up and a credit for overcharges.

ana a. | Overall ExperienceI arrived at the E Capitol Drive location to pick up trailer at 8:20am. Their hours had them opening at 7:30. I tried the door and it was locked. Another customer said he had been waiting outside since 7:30. There were employees inside, but no note on door or anyone letting us know what was going on. Around 8:50 they opened the doors, and did not take customers in order they were waiting. When it came time to take me the person said that she was not even supposed to be working in floor, she was scheduled upstairs but staff did not show up. The cashier set up my rental then asked another staff person to attach the rental trailer. He loudly "explained' it was not his job, he was told he was only the hittch guy, was told via e mail to not help, just do hitches. Finally he agreed he would do this "one" trailer. I backed up, hooked on and waited another 20 minutes. Finally I found the guy and asked him to check me out so I could leave-this place has zero service or service skills-second time I rented here and I hope it is my last.
Ed S.It is odd encountering numerous homeless people who live in the storage building. A heads up would have been nice. Furthermore, we moved out of our unit by 8 am on the 26th and informed staff. Counter person said we would still be charged at 8:18 even though we moved out. At 8:30 you charged us $89.95 for an empty storage unit. I want my money back! I will be calling Monday morning to remedy this situation.

WILLIAM S. | First ImpressionsMy husband was smacked in the face with the tow hitch while at the drop off location, during business hours. While dropping off the tow dolly early in order to more easily unload the truck, there was a staff member in the return equipment line. After WE, my husband and I, unhooked the vehicle (with some minor help from the staff due to one of the metal chains, placed by the uhaul person at the pick up location, being stuck), the staff member instructed me to back off the tow dolly, after confirming that I was clear to back up, i began to back the car off the tow dolly and the tow hitch popped up and hit my husband solid in the face. The staff member was standing directly next to him and was watching him. Why did the staff member not warn him to back away or just tell me to wait until my husband was clear of the area? My husband now has loose teeth and likely a facial scar. He is lucky he didn't knock put any teeth or chip them and/or break any bones in his face. The staff was only minorly concerned about the welfare of my husband after the incident. Why was staff not more involved in the return of the equipment? We had to do everything ourselves including unhooking the metal chains, to undoing the ratchet straps, and extending the ramp to drive off the tow dolly. The only thing the staff did was roll the tow dolly out of the was after our vehicle was off the tow dolly and minor help with the stuck metal chain. The tow dolly was also taken off during business hours and we later dropped off the truck after hours following all of the steps outlined. We were told that there would be no issue with dropping of the tow dolly early and the truck to follow. I am just waiting for the staff to not check in the tow dolly. We would love to contact this store directly, but ALL phone numbers lead us to the main uhaul menu, which takes hours to get to the "correct" person, which is not on site at the storage center. The customer service system is terrible as well. The system does not nessicarily get you to the correct representative even if you follow the prompts correctly.

Also the move out date is marked at 7/28/22 but I actually moved out on 7/11/22.

Ashley C. | Overall ExperienceFirst, our designated building had no carts for us to use. Second, The staff gave me a unit that already had a lock placed on it. I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because “no one was there” - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20% off, but couldn’t verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can’t confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons! After I move out I will likely not recommend this to anyone else
