We had ordered a dolly and pads but that was not confirmed with us at checkout. When we went to the truck we assumed they were in the truck. Noticed they were not present after it was too late to circle back. I believe the staff said they were coming out to take care of it after giving us the keys but we inspected the truck and left. A credit was promised. Overall we are satisfied but maybe a verbal confirmation of how the "extras" are provided upon check out would be a good improvement.Patti D.

It is odd encountering numerous homeless people who live in the storage building. A heads up would have been nice. Furthermore, we moved out of our unit by 8 am on the 26th and informed staff. Counter person said we would still be charged at 8:18 even though we moved out. At 8:30 you charged us $89.95 for an empty storage unit. I want my money back! The person at counter had zero customer service skills. Let me stand there while I was the only customer in building while she talked to her coworker. Had to wait for her to eventually acknowledge my presence. Once she finally acknowledged my presence she only used one word sentences. Example. Name. Drivers License. She then pointed out to parking lot and said it's out there somewhere in a lot full of vehicles. I was walking with a cane and had to traverse the entire parking lot to match up the number on vehicle. Once I was on the road I noticed that passengers side side view mirror was loose,inoperable and ready to fall off. At that time I was several miles from the facility. I drove the unsafe vehicle because at that time I was in a time crunch. Upon returning vehicle I brought this to the attention to the return guy. He was also rude. Accused me of breaking it and said I would be charged for the damage. I asked for a manager to speak with and the individual said."I'm the manager" At this point I felt I had no recourse and just left. The lack of customer service was appalling. The fact you read all over in the building all these signs touting how well maintained all the vehicles are, and then recieving a damaged and unsafe truck, and the getting accused of breaking it. The customer service in this location is the worst. It was my first time renting here and I even told this to the person who assisted me. So unprofessional, I went back in because the tank was very empty and she said that it should fine still, so I didn't make it big in my mind I can just filled it up which is I did because I barely make it home. The worst part I was over charged for extra $101.18 because they told me I used almost 60miles to the truck which is my house not even 2miles away from the location. I moved few buildings away from where I lived and just did a double load of big furnitures and returned the truck right away. So the woman who helped was just arguing about my concerned. So I told her if you don't have any solutions to the problem and doesn't have capabilities to solve it just stop arguing and wasting my time as I am a very busy person. I talked to the manager and he said that he is going to call me but never received any call at all. My order was set for October 3rd and I had the truck from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. I picked the truck up at 4222 W. Capital Dr and dropped off the same day at 1500 S 1st St. I was met in the parking lot by a UHAUL rep who was glad to take the truck key and insisted I didn't need to go inside the office. Somehow, I've been charged $201.64 on Oct 31st which indicates the truck wasn't entered as returned on Oct 3rd. Now, as if there wasn't enough to do during a move, I now have to reach out to get this charge fixed. The last time I called UHAUL I was on hold for over 25 minutes and then spoke with a representative who seemed annoyed that I had questions about how things worked.Keshena A.

This location was equipped very well. I was surprised at the number of rentals available at the end of the month. The only Problem I had was with the credit card terminals. It kept declining My card, so I tried a different one and it declined that one too. Then 2 different cards, declined. The guys behind the counter just said it's been working all morning so it must be your cards. I was trying to explain there's no way four of my card would not be working but they insisted the terminal was ok. Finally, the guy decided to re-enter the transaction and manually enter the card and it worked. So there was a problem with the terminal. The one thing that delayed my truck pickup was your App. I wa that setup to do the pickup vÃa my phone. I arrived within the time allowed to do the pickup, started the process at the Uhaul parking lot and the app changed my pickup to be done at the counter. Now, I had to wait until the office opened. My husband was smacked in the face with the tow hitch while at the drop off location, during business hours. While dropping off the tow dolly early in order to more easily unload the truck, there was a staff member in the return equipment line. After WE, my husband and I, unhooked the vehicle (with some minor help from the staff due to one of the metal chains, placed by the uhaul person at the pick up location, being stuck), the staff member instructed me to back off the tow dolly, after confirming that I was clear to back up, i began to back the car off the tow dolly and the tow hitch popped up and hit my husband solid in the face. The staff member was standing directly next to him and was watching him. Why did the staff member not warn him to back away or just tell me to wait until my husband was clear of the area? My husband now has loose teeth and likely a facial scar. He is lucky he didn't knock put any teeth or chip them and/or break any bones in his face. The staff was only minorly concerned about the welfare of my husband after the incident. Why was staff not more involved in the return of the equipment? We had to do everything ourselves including unhooking the metal chains, to undoing the ratchet straps, and extending the ramp to drive off the tow dolly. The only thing the staff did was roll the tow dolly out of the was after our vehicle was off the tow dolly and minor help with the stuck metal chain. The tow dolly was also taken off during business hours and we later dropped off the truck after hours following all of the steps outlined. We were told that there would be no issue with dropping of the tow dolly early and the truck to follow. I am just waiting for the staff to not check in the tow dolly. We would love to contact this store directly, but ALL phone numbers lead us to the main uhaul menu, which takes hours to get to the "correct" person, which is not on site at the storage center. The customer service system is terrible as well. The system does not nessicarily get you to the correct representative even if you follow the prompts correctly.Kimberly P. | First Impressions

First, our designated building had no carts for us to use. Second, The staff gave me a unit that already had a lock placed on it. I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because “no one was there” - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20% off, but couldn’t verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can’t confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons!
