When I picked up the trailer, I waited nearly 30 minutes for somebody to put it on my car. Upon return, I even had to help them put the trailer back in the spot which made this significantly harder to work with than the location across town. It took a 1/2 hour from app open to driving away with truck. I stared at 1:35 and figured 10 minutes to reserve so I put 1:45 pick up. I wasn't done with reservation till 2:05 yet they still had my start time at 1:45. It didn't matter to me because I didn't need that 20 minutes but the next person might. Make the online reservation more streamline. You have to check in and walk to the door to scan a bar code for location. Then you have to walk to the other side of the lot to find your truck after you find your truck you have to enter more info. Then you have to walk all the way to the other side of the lot to retrieve the keys. There is no parking for your personal vehicle in the lot. To much back and forth to just rent a truck. My rental was for noon and by the time I left the lot it was almost 12:30.Frank D.

Storage rental was fine, but this was accompanied by a truck rental. I had a reservation that was cancelled for some reason and I went online to reserve again the morning of my move to when I got the cancellation notice and booked again. I got to U-Haul a little early to see if there was a truck available early, which there was not. I was advised to come back at 2:00 because the 26’ truck would be ready. When I got back there was no 26’ truck or 20’ truck. The staff told me they couldn’t help me and offered no explanation why my reservation couldn’t be fulfilled. I had no option other than going with a 10’ truck. That required me to make not 1, but 3 separate trips while moving. 10/10 would NOT recommend using Walkers Point U-Haul reservations.William B. | First Impressions

My lock was cut off by U haul and replaced with out my knowledge. When I asked if they cut my lock off they lied to me I had to pay $100 for a locksmiths to cut off their lock they put on just to find my lock cutoff inside the locker which I took pictures of. I got to the location and asked for help finding my pre-paid locker to which I had to wait over a half hour for and then the staff worker couldn’t find it. He dropped me at the locker and walked away and there was a lock on the locker. Then I had to wait in the line for another hour to get a different locker. This location was so disorganized, the staff was not knowledgeable, the people working seemed like they had never worked there a day in their life or as if they were on drugs.Lilly m. | First Impressions
3 employees stood around while one gal hustled her butt off. (She did an excellent job, and she's the reason for 2/5 stars rather than 1/5.) My rental was booked and confirmed for 2/21, pickup at 530. They failed to leave the keys for me, so my family came to help me move and had to turn around. Inconvenience and delayed everything I have going on in my life. I spoke to the call center when the missing keys didn't make sense. Ariana confirmed that because the rental is guaranteed, and wasn't fulfilled on the reservation date, I would have $50 credit. They proceeded to charge my credit card After I spoke with them inside to confirm they would Not charge my card. If U-Haul didn't have a stronghold on renting vehicles, I would absolutely never use U-Haul again. Unfortunately, you do, and I probably will have to.Regan H.
The entire process was aggravating and I had to go back and forth with uhaul customer service and the local facilities to get my stuff delivered and movers set up. The local employees in Wisconsin were nice and tried to be helpful. Uhaul main customer service was unhelpful and would give up and tell me to call a local office. The Maryland location was aggravating and constantly got confused and gave me incorrect information and also did not have the boxes ready for the movers to pick up even though it was noted on the account, confirmed the week leading up over the phone by me, and then confirmed the day prior by the moving company. It delayed the movers by over an hour and caused issues unloading at the complex as the loading dock was only available for a certain time which I had to pay for to have available for a 3 hour window. The movers had to rush to make it work and compensate for Uhaul. I will never use Uhaul again. It did not make it easy and made the move more stressful than if I had just hired a freight company. It was not worth the cost of over $2k as it did not make my life easier or less stressful. I will not recommend Uhaul or UBoxes to anyone after this entire horrendous process.Karolyn L.

The facility on 1st Street was staffed by friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable people (in addition to being impressive in size, cleanliness, and features), while the rental location in Greendale only went so far as to help me reserve rental equipment at this facility.Justin C.

I had an appointment to rent a trailer for 9am. When I got there, I had to wait in line for a half hour because they didn't have enough counter help. The trailer was not ready. It was covered in a half foot of snow. It would be nice if a reservation was ready at the reserved time? Equipment was new and in good condition. Store seemed clean and orderly. Employees very polite. Professionalism questionable. Took far too long to get me keys to vehicle that was frozen and covered with ice and snow. I attempted clearing it myself but there was not a scraper in vehicle (in Wisconsin!). Ultimately a pleasant young man cleared it for me. I was the only customer in store and it was probably 25 minutes before I was on my way. Spent 10 minutes removing snow and de-icing the truck. At 4 miles a gallon, i probably lost out on two gallons of gas just trying to be safe to drive. I reserved the truck online and was told the key would be in key box 14. After walking around the lot for 20 minutes I could find no key box 14. I went inside and after waiting Inline obtained the key. No furniture pads were in the truck. I told the employee and he told me to grab a pack outside. I needed a dozen and only found out later that only 6 pads per pack. The truck had a strong urine odor. Because we were in a hurry to complete our move we held our noses and suffered through the drive. When I returned the truck that evening the employee said that I had the stinky truck and it should be taken off the road. Thanks UHaul!Michael S.

Customer service was the worst I have ever seen. Employees were rude and discourteous. The one even yelled at my 82 yr old father. I was given a truck with 1/8th tank of gas. The back was disgusting and even had broken glass all over it. They made me go to an area that they park the trucks so close to one another that you can't even open the door and it was extremely dark with very little lighting. The guy was accusing me of trying to get free stuff despite my already paying for the supplies earlier that day. Very unorganized and no customer service attitude. He even allowed someone else to come in front of me despite my being right there at the counter. He also refused to give me his name as well. The only one that gave us his name was Larry, if that was his real name. There were only two guys working when we came to get the truckERIC M.

Also, I tried to do the contactless reservation and pickup system using the website and app, and neither worked. At all. I was signed in and had my confirmation number and everything and the app still said I had no reservations. I used U-Haul for the primary purpose of renting a van to move my son from Neenah to Port Washington. That went well. I then utilized free rental of a storage space for a 7-8 days before we could move my son into his new living space. The staff encountered technical difficulties and my given code and later a card did not work to gain access to the space. Then after we moved out of the space, after informing the attendant of moving out, I later got late notices for not paying for the next month. After sending an e-mail to the individual who sent me the notice with a copy of the ending of the storage rental, I got another notice regarding a lien on the items in storage (which was none). This time I called to complain and it was then taken care of. I placed an online pickup order for the next day. When I arrived there was no one behind the desk. I waited 7-8 minutes until a lady on her cellphone came out. She sat behind the counter and talked on her phone for 4-5 minutes and told me she would be right with me. Not only did I wait to be helped, but my order was never put together. So I waited another 5 minutes for her to gather my boxes. I was helped right away when returning my furniture dolly the day it was due. I got a call a week and a half later asking when I was returning the dolly, even though I had returned it a week prior. I was charged 66$ in fees for something that was not my fault. The store was clean, well lit. The staff was professional and efficient. The truck was not great. My rental was on 1/1/21 and there was a snowstorm. The driver side windshield wiper was broken so I was driving through a snowstorm with very little visibility. Those rear wheel drive trucks are very bad in the snow.CYNTHIA A.

My experience started off bad, as the staff member known as JJ, put his information in as emergency contact. I originally had a unit that was to small, I changed it the same day for a bigger unit. My movers notified me that same day that they had put some things in the smaller unit and at this time the office was closed. I wasn't able to gain access to the unit. I spoke with the "then manager" David he stated JJ could get me into the unit, since it had a lock and a note stating access was denied for none payment of rent, which David said the cleaning crew had put on. JJ stated he couldn't get me in because he had never seen the kind of lock and they didn't have a key. I continued to stop in and also call David and was told the unit had been rented and no one knew where my thing's were. I spoke to the off site representatives several times also and got no results. I spoke to the "new" manager Elgin regarding my thing's and no results. I also spoke with Elgin regarding a leaking pipe outside my unit that was to be checked on. When I began to move my thing's out I again inquired about my thing's and was told by the "new" manager Joe that I would have to file a police report. After moving my thing's out I called and was connected to an off site representative, and explained that there was damage to my couch from the pipe that I was attempting to try and use the move out online feature and wasn't able to, and I also sent a message from the site to the "now" manager Joe and got no response. She stated she would send a message also and I explained I had been trying to reach the office regarding the leaking and the damage, was told I would have to speak to the office and I explained I wasn't able to get through any time I called. The representative transferred me to customer care and I still never spoke with anyone. This has been my only option to express my concerns fully and it has been 5 day's since leaving the email for the manger and 4 day's since the off site representative sent her message. I was given a free month of storage for two units because they didn’t have 1 unit big enough for what I needed it for. That was helpful and I was grateful. However, I found later that I didn’t need the units so I called and cancelled them. I was assured that it was cancelled. I started receiving letters about owing the facility. I called several more times and also showed up in person twice and was assured that both units were cancelled by the manager. I still continue to receive calls. We scheduled our reservation for 8am, which the website said was available and that I could pick up the truck with my mobile device. We drove two hours to be there and then found out that we couldn't pick it up until the store was open, which was supposed to be at 9. After 9, I was chatting with customer service because there was still no one there to get me our equipment. They said they had spoken to the manager, who was on his way but that he â€œdidn't know how long it would take for him to get thereâ€... how do you not know how long it takes for you to get to work?! As a manager or otherwise?! I walked to a cafe to warm up while I waited and ended up not getting the truck until 10, and they didn't have a dolly in it, but at that point we had lost two hours of moving time and needed to work that much harder to get what we needed to done before having to drop the truck back off. An all around terrible experience and no one I spoke with in the store seemed to even remotely care that they were late and made me and server all other people stand outside in the 30 degree weather waiting for them.MATHEW S.

Very disappointed at the end. In October I asked that I be taken off of automatic pay. I paid for October and November. In December we emptied out the locker first thing in the morning and got home and found out that you charged the card for December. I am hoping that this can be corrected. Also. I was unable to pick up the truck I reserved from this location because the lock combinations to access the keys had all been reset and none of the employees knew the combinations. This was after spending far too long in the freezing rain trying to get it open. I spent an hour and a half at this location being told very little, before finally being told I would have to go to a location 20 minutes away to get a truck. And since I had been dropped off here expecting to leave with a truck, I had to order a ride to get to the other location. When I asked if a closer location had the truck I needed, the employee told me he didn't know because it "wasn't in his district." And the employees weren't wearing their masks properly, which wouldn't have been an issue if I'd been able to use the contactless pickup as intended. I was then called 3 days later to ask why I hadn't returned the truck I never had in the first place. My experience at the second location wasn't great either, so I will likely never use Uhaul again, and will be sure to share this experience with anyone I know who needs this service.Ian E.

I did not realize I still needed to check-in @ desk when picking-up my rental, or I would have arrived earlier as it was pretty busy. Once at counter things went pretty well, as we went through both trunk rental & storage rental contracts separately. Thaddeo(?) was my service rep & did a good job; he was patient to repeat some things for me as I am a little hard of hearing. After acquiring the truck & transferring some tools from my car, I had to return to office to arrange accessing storage unit to apply my disc lock (note: the only kind allowed), & Elton noticed my return to line & promptly asked me what I needed. He let know where to meet him, walked me to the unit, opening inspection, & applying my lock. I appreciated that quick help, so I could get on with my day. The person working during my check-in did not know what they were doing. They had me pay for a lock before I got into my unit, even though there already was a lock in my unit when I arrived and I shouldnt have had to buy one. There is also a large pole running through my unit that makes storing things difficult and takes up quite a bit of space. We completely cleaned out the storage on Saturday February 29, 2020 and requested a move-out receipt at the store counter. I was told they would email it to me by Sunday 3/1/20 and as of today I have not received it. I called them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and can never get through to that location. The call gets forwarded to another Uhaul service center. The Uhaul service rep said she has emailed my storage location (1500 south 1st street, Milwaukee, WI 53204) but has not received a response either. I’ve been emailing customer service but they can’t locate the account. This is very frustrating!
