Could not be more pleased. Changed the day of pick-up, no problem. Little paperwork as I was in the system. A lady did the hook up, would not let me help. There was minor damage to the trailer fender. She immediately put stickers on to note the damage. Wonderful experience.

Adam CThe customer service was sub par. I asked the guy helping me a question about the call I received asking me to pull a trailer and he ignored my question. When I asked a second and third time he responded but still did not answer my question. He walked off while I was talking to him. He did not stop and look at me until I cussed at him. His lack of regard for my age and the mere fact I was a customer made me come out of my character. It was a situation that lasted at least 5 mins before the assistant manager finally walked out, told me I needed to walk away and told him she would get the truck for me. She apologized for me being upset about the offer not understanding my anger was not about the offer it was the disrespect he showed in reference to my question. She continued to apologize for the offer being rescinded. Still not understanding it was his manner that upset me. I explained why I was upset several times and she still did not get it either.
Michelle BThe boss or an employee at Waterloo had used the truck. I guess I don’t understand. It was a very confusing crappy pick up. The truck was dirty and I exactly like how it is when we dropped it off that’s how we picked it up. I have pictures of the mileage and the gas. It was just at a quarter of a tank when we picked it up at 3:47 was finally when we got the truck.

sahteesha mEnsure the equipment is ready for use. The truck I was rented had an inside dual that was flat and was told by the road service provider, it had been flat for a long time. The tire was not identified flat until after the truck was loaded,, in my driveway and found during a walk around prior to departure. The U-Haul dealer refunded my money but due to the delay, I had to pay double for the hired help to stay late and assist unloading. I trust vehicle inspections are implemented and excused prior releasing for customer use.

Russell HThe gas tank was not full, it is difficult to estimate how much gas to put in to have it where it was so needless to say you won on this one because you got extra gas. While tire pressure was good the sensor light was on I was told not to worry about it.

Gena GWindshield was covered with bug splatter marks, like it hadn’t been cleaned by the previous renter. Also, the fuel tank was only full to a quarter tank mark. Fortunately, I wasn’t driving very far, but if I had planned to hit the highway to travel a long distance I would’ve had to stop for fuel within a short period of time. Other than that, the truck ran great and served my purpose well.

When to this u-haul dealer and talked to the general manager Ross. And he treated me help and got me a unit at his location. One of the greatest managers I have talked to in a while.

Kurt GI think it is an invasion of privacy for your employees to be taking pictures of our IDs with their personal cell phones, I am on high alert to any fraud that may take place. You all should have an IPad for that reason as to avoid fraud and data breaches which you all have had happen before. I will know where any fraudulent activity came from and I will contact a lawyer about it to if need be. I can’t believe with fraud being as rampant as it is that you would even consider letting that happen, I didn’t realize what she did until it was too late and already done bc it’s always been normal to prove I have a drivers license. People do not feel safe when people take pictures of our personal information with their cell phones. This should change immediately.
WHITNEY RI was charged $55 because I estimated 7 miles but drove 35 miles. I was under the impression that the mileage was unlimited. The guy at the counter even said have until 7 am the following day to return the cargo van. I was scammed.

DIEU KI picked this up at 7:30 AM on Wednesday and dropped it off at 5:05 on Thursday. I was told I would be charged for two days by the guy at the counter, and was charged for 3 days. I didn't even have it for 48 hours.

I asked where it was parked I was told "by the brick wall". Not real helpful. The gentleman that was there at drop-off was actually very nice and helpful.

MICHELLE LIt was a really quick and easy drop off. The only issue we had was being charged an additional day when we dropped it off a day early. Through the app, it was documented that our drop off time was over an hour after our scheduled 3 day drop off. We dropped it off the day before during working hours, but that day/time was not reflected in the app or on our receipt. I did call and request a refund and am waiting to see if that additional charge is going to be added back on my card.

MATTHEW POvercharged on mileage I didn't drive. Guess that's on me for not taking pictures of the odometer, still unfortunate to pay for 70 additional miles that I did not drive. After being put on hold and calling back, I explained the situation to an associate who hung up on me when we came to an impasse.

kiara aI called to make the reservation for a truck and trailer to pull my pick up, spent an hour on the phone making sure it was right. I get there they tell me to take the U-Haul without the trailer to load and come back to hitch my pickup, they then inform me my pickup won't fit and tell me I have to drive 27 miles to get the right trailer, which I couldn't do as I was on a schedule and wasn't expecting this error. Now I have to find a carrier by today somehow to tow my pickup. And it's going to cost me $400. And to top it all off I was charged for the trailer, very bad business

I called before moving out to let them know and left it clean and they still charged my account after moving out. Now it’s been days I’ve called numerous ppl including corporate which apparently can’t do anything it’s got a be the store to sign you out of the unit but how if they never answer the phone. Am I to drive hours to that facility? Never will use U-Haul again after this. Watch your accounts everyone.

A week and a half or more later and still not fixed? This is completely unprofessional. I reported this to corporate. Had I had stuff in there, I would have called the police and reported theft. What a dive of a uhaul. This location should be shut down. They are unprofessional. The lady said oh well, I can't help you get in, come back and try again later. Um, yeah no. Your keypad wont let people into their storage units that cost 100 bucks a month, fix it. Don't tell them oh well and brush customers off. Avoid Waterloo Iowa location. I have had great luck at other locations and have moved a lot.

Synthia L | First ImpressionsI rented over 12 months. Over 90% of my belongings were damaged because of unfixed water leaks and then this last month animal fecess and pee all over my belongings. Definitely don't recommend storing anything great. Personnel at the location or services are not the issue. They worked with me as best they could, was just getting run around about who to talk to about fixing the leaks. Never got fixed. It's the outside storage - don't rent those units out KNOWING there is water leaks until it gets fixed.

When I went to get my belongings I could only get the door partially open due to some damage to the door since i had put my belongings in. When i got close to the end I started noticing some boxes were wet and moldy. The water was coming in from the farthest point and had gotten all my paintings wet and ruined. I was asked if I had bought the insurance which I thought was more for theft. I'm out several thousand dollars because of what I feel is something that should have been caught before I rented the unit. Will not suggest uhaul to anyone.
