The old guy behind the counter was rude and slow, he took forever to write up the contract, didn't like the fact that I was making a cash payment, and I got charged for 2 days even though I had only rented the truck for 4 hours and it was returned same night. This guy told me I was going to only get charged 1 day, he even claimed to call corporate to get the "okay". I don't understand this, but still, I recieved a receipt in my email that says I'm getting charged for 2 days. I returned the truck at 8:30 the same night. But my reciept says returned at 7:30 the next morning. I will be calling corporate, will not be returning to this location. The management is shady.

I was one of the first tenants when this facility was built. Nice family owned place. Over time, the prices got to be too much for the type of stuff I had stored. No complaints. Very clean place.

I had a overall positive experience shipping my uBox from Wisconsin to North Carolina. All my items were safe and unbroken when I recieved them. However, I would recommend using a key lock rather than a padlock on the outside of the uBox. I used a padlock, and it seems to have been crushed a bit in the move, and therefore it was difficult to turn the knob to open it. (Though I was able to get it with the help of a uHaul employee.) I did have some trouble locating my uHaul on the day that it was promised to arrive. I could confirm that it was in the city where I moved, but had a hard time figuring out what exact uHaul center it was at. I was on the phone with the location where it was promised, then with the location where they said it was located, then with the regional office. After receiving different answers as to the physical whereabouts of my box, I went in person to one location, and they confirmed that they did have my box. In the end, it was the central hub in the city where I moved, rather than the center closer to my home (where it was promised to be). This made it a little bit more difficult for my movers, as the central hub was a further drive, but it worked out in the end. Everyone was curteous and kind in helping me, it just seemed that the operation was a bit disjointed.

Still wish there was a quicker way to check the equipment out, maybe use of a secure app vs having to connect to a website? But overall, was a good experience using the mobile check out/check in, and the couple times I spoke with the GM, she was very helpful and accommodating. .

Clerk (John) was rude, belligerent, computer illiterate and should never have been put in the position he was in. He bad-mouthed his employer more than once (U-haul and the company messed up your reservation was repeated multiple times, I'm not supposed to be working today, etc.). He was unable to explain the billing difference of $19.95 and .89/mile up to fifty miles and $79.80 and .29/mile with 100 miles ("I don't know, it's just all in the computer"). We finally made a separate call on our own phone to have it explained. He had to make at least 3 calls for assistance with the computer and even then someone had to redo our contract correctly remotely and then he could not even print the new contract without calling yet again for help.

Uhaul should inform customers they will be required to have a reference and that the reference will be called at the time of pickup. I was not informed, it took over an hour for me to pickup my rental because all my friends and family were either working, on the phone with other family members or sleeping. It was terrible. I had a limited amount of time to move my items from my apartment. Being late caused me to not be able to move all my items hence forcing me to add an extra day with my landlord and extra money. It’s was upsetting and highly frustrating considering my sister just used Uhaul 2 weeks ago and had never heard of such a policy Adding references and reference statement needed to be part of the application process. Additionally, if this was a new policy enacted within the last 2 weeks, a policy change statement should have been emailed to all customers informing them of this, have them add references at that time and informing them the references need to be available to for verification before rental equipment would be released. Your Director of Customer Service really dropped the ball on this one. Please forward this to them and also their supervisor. I am using your services in July again for a very large move. I entrust your customer service will be improved by then

The was originally The Vault Self Storage and the facility and staff were bar none! The takeover was seamless and the U-Haul seems to be doing well in the handling of the facility and management.

I left shortly after U-Haul took over. I will say, however, that Denise, the lady at the desk whenever I came in was wonderful. Always had a smile and an answer to my questions. Hope she stays on.
