Inside and out of van was dirty, smelled like it was just used, had collapsed boxes, food, trash, splatters on the ceiling, everywhere was dirty. It drove well and was available when I needed it, but the brakes had a short squeak to them and the oil gauge fluctuated between 20 and 40. Seems like it needs some service/cleaning.

I was lead to believe (by the website) that there would be one-way trucks available from West Lafayette to Chicago and I was stuck renting a truck that I then had to return to West Lafayette (at a rate of ~$1/mile). I'm not happy about this.

Everything was simple, quick , and efficient. I had called all around town for a uhaul & ended up having to get a van which was way bigger than I expected. The guys here were so kind I spoke to a Justin or Justus checked me in and his co worker who was also about his age was who checked me out. I'm highly impressed with the customer service and this being my first time here definitely won't be my last ! Thank you guys very much ! Nice to see I have another place to rent these from besides spur locks who was my go to but were closed. I usually need a truck every other month so will definitely come back here for one or a van soon! Thank you again for your amazing service especially during this crazy pandemic! God bless!

The online rental and pickup process does not work at this location!! I went through the trouble of completing the online rental process, but I waited at least 30 minutes to get the keys. The keys are not located as described in the app. They are not on the side of the counter. Customers must wait for an employee to get the keys. In my case, I had to wait for and employee to even enter the store and other customers to be helped before I could get my keys. No one was behind the counter for a while before other customers and I could be helped. By the time I complete the online process and go in to wait for an employee to get the keys, it actually takes longer than just going in and renting at the counter. The online pictures did not include damages that were currently on the vehicle. I had to waste more time taking photos that actually applied to the current condition of the truck. Thank goodness I actually took the time to review the online photos. The online rental process sounds like a great idea, but it is a complete failure at this location.

The online part of the process could have been improved. It didn't explain my options well enough, which made choosing the right truck for my needs a lot more complicated than necessary. Everything in person was exceptional. Great employees, great equipment, great facilities. Made up for the clunkiness of the website and not so great experience reserving my van.

I'm very happy with the unit and my experience so far. One odd thing is the online reservation indicated if I booked immediately online a lock would be included free (and in the unit when I arrived.) It was not. I asked inside the office and the person at the desk told me that a lock was not included. Not a big deal but seems to be some confusion or miscommunication between the online process and the WL location. Thanks.

I'm a little frustated with the resveration system(not the with any one location). The time that customer selects on the site is not the acutal pick up time for the equipment. Its a preferred time. I would suggest make the resveration system based on when a truck(s) are available(specfically the time), not a preferred pickup time. I made a reversation to pickup at 8am, but was told I had to pickup at 10am (plus drive to a differnt location). Furthmore, I was told there were not trucks available at 8am. However, I went by the location the night before pickup and there were two truck( the sixe I needed) sitting on the lot.

I did 24 hour drop off which was pretty easy. There isnt much lot space so I was worried I was going to get in trouble for parking so close to the main road. The key dropoff box was in a hidden spot (different from where the online portal said it would be) which was annoying to find, but I didnt have any issues dropping off.

I rented a U-HAUL this past Saturday and accidentally left my wallet in the truck. I did not realize my mistake until Sunday evening, when I was 5 1/2 hours away in a different state. I immediately called the store and an associate said that they would check the truck when the current customer returned it. They never did. Tuesday evening I was informed that another customer had found it in the truck and reported it to the staff. Despite the staff knowing that my wallet was actually left in the truck AND a customer knew where it was, NO ONE retrieved it from the truck. Instead they continued to rent out the truck to different customers. I even followed up and left a message on Dave Butcher's office phone and have yet to hear back. While it is my mistake for leaving my wallet in the truck in the first place, the employees at this U-HAUL location have FAILED multiple times on their end to help resolve the situation. It would take not even a minute to grab it out of the truck but no one has taken the initiative or responsibility of doing that. I will never rent from here again nor will I recommend it to any of my friends at Purdue University.

Booked a Uhaul for after hours pickup from west Lafayette. The truck wasn't staged. Called customer care and was told to go to another location 7 miles away in Lafayette. Finished the process to get keys, but there were no keys in the lock box. Extremely disappointed in the service.

This was our first self-storage experience and it was outstanding. We had to move quickly at the beginning of the pandemic and Uhaul came to the rescue. Staff was extremely helpful. Very clean and convenient storage for a reasonable price. We will be back next year.

Very slow people at the location as far as quickness to help. I did the phone check in but had to wait way longer than I would have thought for the key. You know how it says, bypass the line and go to the side,s how your phone screen? Yeah - no one to show the screen. It was not a good experience there. But as far as the truck, it was ready and in good shape. Return was easy.

My first interaction with UHAUL (after it bought out the storage company) was a threatening letter which stated that they were going to sell everything in my storage locker immediately - because my credit card number had changed and the automatic payment did not go through. More recently, when it was time to move out, I showed up at my locker one evening to find a second lock installed, with a note to go by the office to get the key for it. The office was already closed, so I could not access my things. I had not been notified that a new lock had been installed. Both my first and last interactions with this company were decidedly negative. I will never rent from UHAUL again if I can avoid it.

I did not appreciate the “nominal rate increase” of more than 10% a few months in. One of the gates was frequently broken, saying it had been “tampered with”. Other times a gate was stuck open.
