Rae SThe pickup and check out went smooth but the van was filthy. Looked like a drywall crew had just used it and didn’t clean after. I spent an hour after I got it to my house cleaning the windows inside and out. I had to wipe down the inside dash and floors to get drywall dust and food stains up. Looked like someone sneezed on the inside of the windshield and tried to spit out the window and hit the door jam. I had to vacuum the cargo area before I could load my stuff in. The tires had to be checked and filled as the dash warning system was on. Windshield wipers might need replaced. The only positives was the fuel was full and no issues in the road. The app is nice , I had to use it to drop off since nobody came out to assist me. The product is good but the customer service and cleanliness is lacking.
Craig DEverything was great and the folks were friendly and helpful. My one complaint was that the gas was at 7/8 of a tank and recorded such on the rental agreement. This meant that I only needed to return with 7/8 of a tank. When I stopped to get gas just a mile away from the drop off place, the gauge was at 5/8 of a tank. So I only needed to add 1/4 of a tank. Since the tank holds 40 gallons, I added 10 gallons of gas at $3 per gallon. When I got back in the truck it registered full and your receipt shows it was returned full even though the pump did not auto stop as it would do if the tank was full. Therefore, I added as much as 5 gallons of gas, or $15 of gas, more than needed. It is impossible to tell when pumping gas how to get the tank 7/8 full. This may be intentional on your part, but I will never again rent from U-Haul unless there is an upfront commitment that the truck will be full.

Arianna A | First ImpressionsThe truck was great and was perfect for my moving purposes. However I did have an issue withhow my trip was charged. While I understand that the charges are by the day, if I only arrive 10-15 after my allotted return time (which by the way should be clarified at time of pickup) then I feel there should be some concession such as a late fee rather than charging me for 2 full days when I only had the truck for only a few minutes above 1 day. Specially as I had also gotten the Safemove insurance and was charged for 2 days for it as well. There should be better communication of the expected time of return and the consequences if that time isn't met.

PHILLIP CVehicle did not have a scraper & heat did not work, which made driving conditions dangerous. Employee scraped some of the windshield, but didn't seemed concerned that the heat/defrost was not working.

The monthly rate was very reasonable, the facilities were excellent, safe, and accessible, and the people were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Changkuan LKaren was friendly and helpful. Process to check out was easy. Only complaint was that I later noticed the trailer tires were low on air. Max pressure was 65, and one of the tires was down to 15! I called the U-Haul location to see if I could stop by and have them put air in the tires, and they said I’d be better off going to a gas station. They mentioned something about a faulty air compressor at their location.

LAURA HMaking sure the customer know how to drive the truck, cuz it's very different from my 2024 vehicle. Also, the driver seat was extremely hard to adjust and the manager had to come to address it.

Heather BThe lady that i original made my reservation was helpful and nice. when i picked up the truck on Wednesday at 4:30 the guy was not very friendly. It was my first time renting this kind of truck. I asked him anything i need to know about truck and he said "like what'"? I asked what kind of gas does it take, etc. He just wasn't very customer friendly. The truck smelled very bad inside cab. stale smoke. I had to take truck home and wash the bugs off windshield before driving it. It was a very used truck and very loose to drive, i felt like it was all over the road. I have drove big trucks before but this one must have been due to the age and wear/tear.
MICHELE BWould have liked to have had more information about choices of trucks as it pertains to one way or round trip rentals.. I had difficulty make the decisions about returning the empty truck because the weather driving back to West Lafayeete was through persistent heavy rains. I only found out about needing a different truck after the truck that I had was full. Now I know better.

A previous user obviously used the van to haul garbage and the bags must've leaked "garbage juice" because one I started driving it smelled pretty bad in there. The floor liner really needed to be hosed down. I used flattened unused extra boxes to line the floor before I put my stuff in the van.

A few days later, I went there again and reserved another one for July 1. I didn't go to the premises on July 1st (I didn't know I would have to), and they canceled my reservation. These two incidents were quite inconvenient.

Jeremy H | Online Move InI was supposed to move in on May 2 around 8 pm which was after office hours but within access hours. However, for some reason it didn’t let me check in online so I couldn’t move in and had to come back the next day during office hours. Then, I came back the next day. Firstly, they took so long to get my unit ready and then they told me that they didn’t have a medium size available even though I booked it well in advance 2 months ago. It worked out, though, since they gave me the “last” 2 small units that were the same size as a medium but what’s the point of me booking in advance when they don’t have what I reserved? Overall, okay experience but I feel like it could’ve been better. Moving and storing is a hectic experience and I wish U-Haul would’ve helped make it go smoother instead of worse.

I saw a lot of their clothes on the floor of the inside storage (inside the glass door). There were 3 people. One was using the restroom. They have an outside storage. But I don’t think there should be occupants inside. I was very spooked and left quickly.

They said they do not make any exceptions at all and wont prorate. As someone who has given Uhaul thousands of dollars over the years, i'm pretty disappointed. We will start to look at other rentals in the future Instead of going straight to u haul. I have always considered uhaul to be the best , but now that I see where I stand as a customer, I will look elsewhere and only use u haul as a last resort. The manager was supposed to call me As I created a complaintthrough the corporate Number, However I never received a call. I wouldn't be surprised if I received a call shortly after this post. I think the people are friendly, That doesn't matter if you're really just ripping off the customer.

The rental cost almost doubled in the last 5 years and I NEVER authorized a direct debit from my checking account but someone there took it upon themselves to access my bank account which is why I moved elsewhere.

Having rented units in other cities before, knowing that the individual unit was protected with an individualize alarm was a very reassuring bonus. If the need arises again, we would not hesitate to rent another unit from this facility.

They gave me a different unit that was bigger and more expensive, and did not offer to match the agreed upon price. They gave me the first month free, which worked because I only needed it short term, but if I was planning on long term storage this would be unacceptable. I had proof that showed I had the reservation and the worker agreed.
