The other that attended to me were nice the boss or whoever he was rude and scary.,The store clean but have wares every blocking access to the costumer service stand.Very bad experience, finally I was able to get to boss who screamed at me to waite outside without previous education on how to make returns,at list he should have spoke instead of screaming.The store settings should be considered.

My first contact when trying to book my U-Box had "computer problems", they said they'd call be back when it was sorted out. Since I needed the box in the next 24-hours, I waited a couple of hours and when they did not call back I called the same number and got a totally different person. There was confusion when the first guy "double booked". Other than that, it was a good deal, good value and service was very organized!

When I came to return the vehicle I was accused of stealing the spare tire....the spare tire that was NEVER on the vehicle when I rented it. Also U was accused of not returning equipment that I never rented! Thank God I kept my paper receipt showing what I actually took out. And thank God someone at the facility had the brains to look at the before pictures showing that there was not a spare n that vehicle at the time I rented it! Also, I was overcharged by $92 that still has not been refunded to my card! So kiss my ass! That’s how I rate my experience! I even waited 10 days to respond to see if I would calm down but I have not! Get your shit together Uhaul!

Was advised that 3 Ubox containers would be adequate for a small house. We were moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment (1200 sq feet) that is fully furnished. We took no major appliances with us, but definitely needed 5 boxes. I would definitely go over the advised amount and they’ll take them away for free if not needed.

I would give a perfect comment but I registered on line for a location close to me and after receiving a confirmation, I was told that I wasn't registered and that reservation was cancelled and another was was made for me and it was more than 30 miles away. I don't feel I should have been charged the mileage to drive across town to pick up and return the truck, since I made a reservation near me.

Having to provide three telephone numbers and the requirement to actually call one person infuriates me and the person who is called. It seems this is requirement of all U-Haul centers. This process infers I will not pay!!! Dealers do not have this requirement. It’s demeaning. Then having an initial U-Haul employee referring to me as “Boss Man” is unnecessary and not professional.

Asked for my U-box to arrive between 8-10, the window was then given to me between 12-2 and he showed up at 2pm. If I requested it earlier and I was told I was the first delivery of the day it should have been dropped off much earlier than 2pm. Need to listen to your customers. Also you were 3 days late on picking up my U-Box after I called and said it needed to be picked up on thursday, when it was actually picked up on tuesday.

They moved my pick up time from 10 am to 8am at 3 o'clock in the morning by email. Luckily we drove to Houston Friday night. Originally we had planned on going to Houston Saturday morning. Luckily I saw the email because I was told I have only 45 minutes to pickup the truck. I tried calling Friday and Saturday to confirm my appointment and they put me on hold. When they answered the said they were with a customer and put me on hold Friday and after 15 minutes still didn't talk to me. I confirmed online. Same thing happened on Saturday. Clerk Saturday could not answer my questions and had to go to his boss. He was getting our 15 ft truck and got into bigger truck and drove off the lot to get gas in a truck that was not ours. Finally he returned and gave us the truck. Also, our pickup location was changed on Friday too.

Nothing worked there. Employee had to use their phone to take a picture of my license as the scanner had a dead battery. Now an employee has a pic of my license.. Was not provided any paperwork as the printer was broken, so I left with the promise of an email receipt. No one did a walkaround of the truck with me, no damage sheet was provided.

They apparently shorted me on moving blankets which nearly got me into an argument at the drop-off location. I got two bags and opened the first one which had 6 blankets. The other remained unopened until the employee at the drop-off opened them out of my sight and there were only 10 blankets total.

The systems seem to takeaway too long to process the personal information. The staffing was adequate for the demand and the employees were very knowledgeable. It took about 15minutes longer than it should have due to repeated questions about my individual information from the computer entry. Both outside pickup and drop off staff were excellent (Chris Monday pickup and Derrick Wed drop off). Derrick entered the drop off on his wrist link and got us out quickly. Their were several calls asking about the auto transport on Wed afternoon due to a system mix up. I received my email receipt in fine order so I am pleased.

My experience at the location was great but booking was a nightmare. I originally online booked the Katy I-10 location as my preferred pick up location. I even recieved an email confirmation for pick up at the Katy location. Well after spending 45 minutes in line, I was informed that my pick up location was the westhiemer parkway location and I was in jeopardy of them cancelling my reservation because I was late. Needless to say I was livid. But after driving to the Westhiemer parkway location and making them aware of the problem, the guy there was very professional and apologized for the inconvenience. He said they should have contacted me with the correct location.

I came for dolly n truck. Got one block down the street check engine light was on. Call the location was told to bring back. They put me in another truck with no gas. I asked several time was everything the same , dolly in the truck. The guy in the dreads laughed and said yes it comes with the truck. First I had to go straight to gas station.I drove 45 min to Rossharon tx to my storage open the back of truck ,no dolly on a sunday. I call uhaul after 5:00 pm my location was closed. Dogcatcher took all my complaints said he was documenting them and the the store manager would see them on mon. With no folly I had to employ two other men to load heavy furniture on to truck and up my stairs. $40 extra dollars. Next morning drop off truck talked to ride manager. First thing he says what's my problem? I told him it was documented he say there was no notes. He said first of all I was not charged for dolly. That's my whole purpose for renting a truck with dolly. I was told the truck comes with dolly the first truck with bad engine light. I didnt care if I had to pay for dolly that what I needed a dolly. They put me in another truck and told me everything was the same. Dolly came with it .and dolly in the truck.I called and the guy say he was leaving notes. If the guy with the dreads in his hair .who put me in that second truck would have just checked for the dolly . I would not be unhappy with visit to uhaul.

Review for UHAUL-Westheimer West Oaks location. I rented a truck and used the online process to check in. I was meeting my help and needed to get in and out quickly. I also reserved a dolly and some boxes which were not on the truck when I went to pick up; the dolly should have been on the truck if you want the online check-in experience to be smooth. The boxes were a separate reservation and linked to another Uhaul rental location, the boxes should have been transferred in the system when my truck rental was changed to another location. I do not hold the Westheimer location responsible for the box order not being transferred. However, my real concern is with the gas gauge and process for for verifying it’s actually full when UHaul’s computer says it’s full. Unless a consumer wants to walk back in a second time and point out that the gas gauge is really only at 7/8 full, the expense of additional gas or the penalty charge for UHaul filling up is left on the consumer. So my thoughts are these, if UHaul has associates claiming the tank is full when it’s not, that’s an integrity issue. If the tank was full at last check-in and someone ciphoned the gas out (as was suggested to me) it seems to me, both issues are UHaul’s problem to resolve and not put the burden of proof on the consumer. My situation was, I booked online, I didn’t see a gas gauge reading online, it may have been there, but certainly not readily visible and not my main concern when registering online and doing all that’s required. Now if the “system” says the tank is full, and the UHaul representative check’s me in and confirms I drove 59 miles, and I present you with a gas receipt that’s dated and time stamped from the gas station right next door, to me, that’s proof the truck was not full when checked out. To spend 15/20 minutes arguing and denying a customer the $15.00 credit they asked for seems like a bad business decision. Something happened that caused the error between the “system” and reality, the error (either associate entry or theft of gas in the middle of the night) are both on UHaul. Putting the burden on the consumer will Ultimately harm UHaul in the long run. Here’s my theory; it will drive some temporary profits from excessive premium gas charges to customers who returned the truck with the exact same amount of gas as when they left, or require the consumer to buy more gas than they used to make up the erroneous “full tank” that the system shows. both of these scenarios will not doubt leave consumers with a bad taste in there mouth about UHAUL, that can’t be good for business. I don’t like presenting a problem without a solution, so here goes. The trucks are pulled around and staged for the consumer, at least the 5 or 6 I rented over the last 8/9 months were. How difficult is it to have the UHAUL representative confirm the gas gauge and cover with consumer to confirm the expectation of refilling. I already paid and it cost me a lot of troubles but the guys was very helpful finding another one for me but it cost me a lot of time consuming I could not make it on time at the other location which cost me extra expenses!!!!!

I had to wait in the line one hour. They did not have the truck I reserved. I told them to rent for 24 hrs. They did for 10 hours. When I return the truck, I knew because if the extra charges. So bad!

The customer service was horrible! At the end of the day, I turned in the truck I rented, and when the manager saw me, he locked the door. I knocked on the door, but he completely ignored me. Once he came outside, I asked him how am I supposed to turn in the truck. He responded, "go on the website, and check it in". I informed him I never checked the truck in online before, so would he mind informing me of the procedures. He then told me "just check it in online, and throw the key in the hole" (which he pointed to), and then he walked off. There was another employee who walked toward the front of the building, and I asked him the same question. He replied "go online, because it is after hours" (I couldn't understand why they would give me a return time of after hours)... He then informed me I have to "keep the key", which was odd. I thank God another employee walked over to the truck where I was located, and checked my truck in. I wish I knew his name, because he was the ONLY ONE that helped me. I will NEVER go back to this place! Rude employees, and RUDE manager!

UHaul is the worst company on the planet, and only survives because it has a near monopoly. I reserved online with the laborious, slow website - the location I had a confirmed reservation for did not exist! Went to second location - reservation could not be found despite showing it on my phone at the counter. Took 30 minutes to check in !!

Due to moving i ran 5 minutes late to closing time, called the location first was instructed to use uhall.com to return truck. There are no instructions indicating to use Chrome app to access uhall.com. After calling uhall directly were finally able to return truck online, process took 45 minutes. 2 male staff was in the parking lot, they did not assist at all. Absoultly Terrible online return system. Uhall makes it easy to take ur money up front, however the turn in process Sucks!!! Beaware!!

My daughter returned the truck the same day and I was charged for two extra days and the truck was reported stolen because two employees did not scan the truck as returned. This all happen on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 6:30 pm. On Tuesday May 7, 2019 I spoke to Mr. Derrick and was told everything was okay they found the truck... then my daughter received another email stating that I will be charged for two additional days and gas. It took my daughter today to go up there to describe the two employees she return the truck too. I am not pleased at all by this experience. I have never had anything like this to happen before. I used the Uboxes for my move from NC U-Hall Stored all nine of my boxes inside under lock and key In their warehouse. I was able to access my box’s as long as I gave them 24 hour notice.

Waiting time was a little too long although I have a reservation. I believe this was due to verifying the emergency contact number person while we wait. Most of the time, when the service rep will call the person number, it would be busy, or no one is home. I wasn’t prepared for this procedure when I enter your premises.

As we discussed, a utility dolly and furniture pads have not been in the truck as ordered, and we immediately notified Erik by phone as soon as we opened truck. Besides, we told about lack of these items to receptionist upon return of the truck. Nevertheless, my credit card statement shows $17 charges for utility dolly and furniture pads that we have never been given nor have used. As such, please remove the $17 charge from my credit card.

Put yourself in the customers shoes. Think about the huge hassle you may have caused them, the money and time wasted for them due to uhauls mistakes. I should have gotten some type of discount due to them giving away my trailer even though i had already paid for and reserved it, then telling me i would have to drive to another location to get one. That was RIDICULOUS mistake on their end. Very very dissappointed in the company; specifically, this location. The Katy uhaul location on i10 and fry were A LOT more friendly. As well as the Mcallen location for drop off.

Be careful, they mark the gas needle more than it was and I drove 9 miles and they charged me 16 dollars on gas... complained and they reduced to 8 but still alot for 9 miles driving and I did stop in the gas station and add 2 gallons before I return it. Not recommended to anyone.

We got overcharged $100, I’m not used to rent moving truck and I just check the gas, not the miles. When the guy told me the miles we told him that was imposible and that he could even call the apartment offices, to check the cameras. Manager assistant said he can’t do anything and that it was our mistake for not checking the mileage, I can understand that but I can’t feel more robbed because it was their mistake in first place, for giving a truck with a wrong mileage. I called the next day. Same answer not helpful at all.

The only frustration was when I called to see when my pods would be delivered to my new house I was kept on the phone for literally 2 HOURS and they kept transferring my call and I spoke to 8 yes 8 different people!!! Finally I got a man named Ryan who stayed on it and figured it all out. He was great!
