The people working the counter don't work independantly of each other. It takes three of them to answer a question, solve a problem, or take a phone message. They all stop working when anybody at the counter has a question. So there were constant interuptions, sidebars, and distractions while I was trying to complete my rental reservation. They made four mistakes filling out my reservation, and ended up charging my credit card twice for one rental. Now I'm waiting for a credit to show up on my credit card. Made a reservation online for a one-way 15ft rental within the next 30mins. Arrived at the location and everything was ready to go. Recommend uploading the DL pictures online at the time of reservation to make the pick-up go a little faster. The truck was clean and in good shape. Had no problems with the rental at all. Picking up the ubox was simply and easy. After the ubox shipped is different story. They couldn't find my box for almost 3 weeks, resulting in me having a purchase new clothes for work. After it was finally located we set time to pick it up, got to the location late and the box was not there. I hired movers for that day and lost money. The uhaul I only used it for 15mile and I fuel it and the guy we deliver it to said we good to go .there is no gas in it .but we still fuel it we took the pictures and shown them. And we returned it thesame day .the original charges is $48 and they charge me extra $111.54 .for miles I didn't go and for fuel I already gas the truck .when I call the customer service the lady hang up on me .very rude lady .and when I call the location the supervisor said is error from their side they going to credit me back .but still I haven't received my credit. Have your one way vehicles better listed online it was a big inconvenience to go to a total different location for pickup. The vehicle was also not properly maintained or checked from the last driver. I missed the text message for the precheck and the mileage was 70 miles off. And the fuel tank was at 2/3 not 3/4. There was also a tire that was not balanced making any driving around 35 extremely shaky. Lastly the alignment was off so it pulled to the right the whole time.Richard L.

I have used this location multiple times for trailer rentals and had a storage unit for about 8 months. The staff has always been helpful and couteous to me, even when some customers haven't always been very easy to deal with. The card readers a broke. Sometimes the computers terminals are down. I was told my card was declined which made no sense. Upon calling my bank they said your employee put the wrong expiration date in manually which would not have happen if you just replace the card readers. This has been going on way too long. Front desk people at U Haul of West Oak Houston TX took very very long time 15+ mins to respond on the phone. The Huge queue used to on front desk (20+ minutes wait). Backend folklift operator girls were very helpful to give access to U box. U Haul at Edison NJ team provided very good service while loading the U-Box. Overall I am very impressed with U- Box service by U Haul.. very flexible, efficient and economical...! It made my move very easy.PP B.

The manager zerik marves and staff are rude and Incompetent I paid my pass due bill 2 days before I came to upgrade to a larger unit when I arrived my unit was still locked and I had to wait for someone to unlock it and I was told I wouldn’t have to pay the difference for the upgrade until next months bill. while I was transferring my stuff from the smaller unit to the larger one a staff member came up to me and said they would have to lock my unit backup and I would need to go talk to someone up front again when I got to the front desk the manager zerik said I would need to pay the difference now I explained to him what was told to me and that I had somewhere to be and did not have time to be going back-and-forth with him he then told me “this is not McDonald’s and it’s takes more knowledge to transfer the storages” and I said that had nothing to do with me because I don’t work there zerik then went on about how his employees were Incompetent of doing there job and that They needed more training which again had nothing to do with me.Adam C. | Overall Experience

I was greeted and addressed from the moment I walked into the store. Taveira was very helpful and friendly. She was warm and engaging and made me feel that my business " mattered". She took the time to walk me to my space, explain the security system and asked if I had any questions. Every time I had questions while moving in, she was there to answer my questions. The Manager Zerik was also helpful and cordial. I had little snafus' but he addressed the matter in such a professional way, I knew he was genuine in his response. Your Draconian rental requirements, coupled with a 1930s software system are really awful. I went through the online process, then had to repeat the exact same process at the office. Wasted a lot of my time. Your 3 phone number requirement makes it impossible for folks with only 2 phone numbers: another waste of time. Once at the store your system would not allow me to use the same alternate phone number that I used online. My items are now safely, and easily, stored at CubeSmart. With only 1 phone number required. My required alternate address was not accepted, though I have used it for 10 years for every other company I have done business with. firstname.lastname@example.org link does not work. Waiting time to talk to someone has a 20+ minute wait. Invest in some competent IT people. The counter folks, and the Chat folks online, apologize for your IT incompetence with the comment that they don't know what IT is doing or why, and they feel real bad. None of which helps. Communication is horrible. Originally ordered a pod. Called back and they did not have me on the list. Despite having a number for it. Then used storage climate control. Did not tell me I would not receive notice that time to pay. I used a credit card thought it would roll over and did not. Told me they do do send bill to renew after the fact. Did send notice to my friend before I was notified. Was two days late and charged $15 late fee. Had paid for another month. Good till May 3 but checked out April 14, 2021. Did not get reimbursed my two week over pay. When asked for copies and to sign that I was closed. Told they do not do that. Asked about taking my credit card off files was met with resistance. Was told by phone they had referrals for moving. Called back and was told they did not. Despite the fact that I was Quoted $245 that was extra for putting the bed together. Uhaul gave me a number. They were only the people to move but they did not have a truck. The folks at this facility appear to know nothing. Unable to give correct info. When I showed up to pick up the truck, it was cold and raining. After 30+ mins on the phone and chat with technical support, I was asked for a pick of my id and a selfie. After submitting these (I had now been in the cold rain for nearly an hour bc I had an Uber drop me off), I was told that they couldn’t verity my Id or some nonsense which is ridiculous bc there is nothing wrong with my id. I was told I’d need to come back. I wasted over $20 on Uber thanks to this. The next day, I made a new reservation, but when I showed up to pick up the truck, I was told there wasn’t one available, even though I called in ahead of time to make sure. I told the guy I would take any of the sizes since there were many on their lot, I was simply told no. I forget the excuse this time. I have been renting from Uhaul for years and I’ve never had a problem before now. Once again, I was out another $30 for Uber trips. Not only did I lose all the Uber money, but I also missed out on getting the couches that were being given me.
