Steven FMaybe next time don’t give a drop off address then when the client shows up you tell them it’s the wrong address and make them drive to another location and then charge the client for being below the gas line when it wasn’t there fault you gave them the wrong address. Would never use U-Haul again
Tysen BThe staff are not helpful at all. Just standing around watching while we move and hook up the trailer. Not engaging in any customer service whatsoever. This was on pick up and drop off. They just stood, staring. Not even offering guidance. And the trailer was filthy! We had to clean it before moving our things into it and it still stunk like dead animals. Two days later they called me saying I still had their trailer. I told them I dropped it off and at what time. They hung up on me! Absolutely brutal, non-existent customer service. Will never be back.

Therefore caused us to take more trips than anticipated, making us go WELL OVER our booked reservation time and overall causing a massive inconvenience. But I guess it was OUR PROBLEM that your system messed up booking us a cargo van instead of the 10 foot truck I have proof of reservation of. Expect a phone call soon.
Daniel FPicked Truck up in Morning at Scheduled time to find it not brushed off and no brush in truck. Fuel line to fill back to lower than what was marked. Drink Holder inside cab was broken so not able to use. Truck seemed run down and brakes need attention. Had to hold brakes to floor to stop truck from creeping forward at Red Lights. Other than those things, Heat worked great and truck back door opened and closed without issues. We didn't use ramp so not sure of condition on that.
David BThis location has been a great stress relief twice since August 2025, once for a truck and once for a trailer. Sara has been great to deal with. I was on my way within minutes in the equipment I booked, everything in clean working order. Uhaul gets a bad rap but my recent experiences at the West Edmonton location have been top notch.
Kelly ZWaited 20 minutes for someone to check me in upon return. An employee walked by and never said a word, I assumed he was coming back. Finally had to go in store to ask if there was anyone working outside and was greated by 3 people staring at me blankly then they looked at each other back and forth before deciding to help me.

Donald MVehicle had no driver visor and cup holder was broken. Windshield was so dirty on the inside could barely see through. Inside cab of truck was disgusting!

Sandra LSad to say. The experience was terrible. 3 people at the counter. Not another person in the location. One employee started to assist me then decided to take a personal phone call(not urgent based on the nature of the conversation). Then another employee directed me to the truck. The third person periodically spoke to the other team members about how they had to call another customer for the 5th time for not bringing the truck back. Even though I asked twice about the blankets, I was told everything was good to go. I got in the truck and drove away and then received a text stating I should take pictures to confirm everything is there. Turns out, none of the blankets they confirmed I’d have were in the truck, which slowed our move down considerably because we had to find alternatives. When I called the location to let them know the blankets weren’t loaded, their reaction was very apathetic. When it came to the truck. The right side rear view mirror wouldn't adjust for viewing and the power steering squeaked like crazy, when I dropped off the vehicle, one employee was watching videos on her phone, another was once again complaining about another customer. I was thankful they didn’t charge me for the blankets but the professionalism shown or not shown was terrible. More coaching is needed for your employees.

Darrin HOnly problem was two employees were trying to rent the same trailer, so it took extra time to get figured out. Other than that it was great.
Michelle RThe equipment they gave us for a cross-country trip was dirty, old and of poor quality. The U-Haul employee at the drop-off point said that they should never have rented that equipment to us, it was in such shoddy condition.

Valdine WSupport for staff dealing with upset customer (in front of me). Trailer was dirty but given the weather, not much more could be done. Most disappointing was not honouring the quoted price. Clerk was surprised that the price went up.
David FI tried to pick my uhaul up, it wasn't there. I was sent to another place that was closed(worker had a sign on the door), then sent to a third( they were checking that trailer over because the driver had an issue. It was ok so I got the trailer from the third place.

Herman AGal needs to update their connections to accommodate the new vehicles. I had to purchase a connection for the hitch I rented because gal has the older connection. I think this was unfair and if there was a choice at that moment I would not have continued the transaction.

Paul DWhen I came to get the trailer it was full of snow and had to wait for it to get shoveled out. I think it should have been ready because I came right at my pick up time. Also, they weren't sure where in the lot it was so they didn't go look for it ahead of time, which they should have.
Gregory MExtremely dirty vehicle on the outside though a new vehicle. Even the door handle was mud dirty. Awesome lady at the night shift. Very professional. The odometer showed more miles than I did drive by almost times 3. Very fraudulent.
Nezie MFuel was not at what he told it would be, tires are not good, truck was filthy inside. Not a good experience. And when I chatted to them about it when I returned the vehicle they did nothing to compensate, so they advertise 19.99 I had the truck for about 5 hrs and cost me 115.00 unbelievable not impressed.

For instance, this time There was a delivery truck again blocking the access, and this is not the first time, that we have observed that the access lane is blocked with other vehicles, resulting in customers having to wait.
PAUL JYard full of snow. Drop off was a struggle as I had to plow through all the snow just to drop the trailer at location. This led to frustration and me to burn more fuel than needed at drop off

Travis TThe person at the counter was friendly and kind to deal with. Just a suggestion, to hire more people because when I walked in, literally no one was at the counter for at least 10 minutes. No employees were to be found. I had to go outside and find one. This happened on December 31st, 2025 at 1:10 P.M. U Haul was clean though. Might want to check tires as they were close to 50% tread.
Corey HThe truck I was given had a very loose steering rack and pinion. The roads were very snowy in Edmonton and the truck was hard to control. I recommend getting the front end of the truck inspected and getting a wheel alignment done. Everything else with the truck was good. The staff at the location were slow but they were helpful overall.
Mitchell ZThe Uhaul truck I rented got stuck in the snow 5 times throughout the length of my rental. Luckily I had a team of 6 friends that was able to push it free with great effort as well as providing traction under the wheels such as gravel, rugs, etc. Finally the Uhaul got stuck again when only myself and my brother were present and could not get the truck unstuck despite trying for almost a full hour, we were told by Uhaul support that they don’t provide chains or winter tires. We had to get a towing service to get the Uhaul truck un-stuck. This seems a gross oversight from Uhaul to rent out trucks in Canada without the proper equipment to handle snowy and icey roads. I am extremely disappointed with my first experience renting a Uhaul and will advise anyone I know not to rent a Uhaul for moving during the winter months in Canada until they begin to outfit their vehicles with better equipment.
Keiran Mworst uhual experience i ever endured. the staff who helped me first sent me to look for a uhual that was not even there. i checked the lot during a snow storm and then went to check street parking. i went back inside and told him i couldn’t find it. so he assigned a new truck told me it’s in the back. there was so much snow on it, i assumed it was my job to scrape it off, i looked for a window scraper, nothing, so i used my jacket sleeve (couldn’t get to the middle). when i started the uhual the exit looked snowed in, so i went the other direction through the back and got stuck anyways. by the time i got back inside i was ready to break down i was upset and freezing literally and he went to check the uhual. then i seen another woman helping a couple, walk them out to the truck, and brush the snow off their truck. so i thought why didn’t i get that same treatment?!?! when she was available again i asked if she could help me instead because the first guy was still outside. when he came in he said why did you go that way? i told him there was no other way the 2nd exit was snowed in and the tires are bald. i ended up leaving with a 15” truck when i ordered a 20ft i was at uhual for over an hour the whole thing was not right. thank god the women helped me. when i drove by later that day another truck of theirs was stuck in the exit they told me to take. so i was right not to take it. never ever using that location again.
Ashley SThe truck was buried in snow, I had to shovel it out in order to move it. The tires are terrible for winter, I got stuck 3 x , just driving in the city. Overall for rent in the winter and for the 500.00 per day. I will definitely look elsewhere.

John LWhen we arrived we were given keys to a car that wasn’t there. We were then given keys to another vehicle from the “needs attention” pile and the truck wouldn’t start. We were given the third set of keys for a truck that worked. We had to scrape snow off the windshield of a huge vehicle which wasn’t very difficult to access.

RANKO PFirst of all, the truck had old summer tires, which are not suitable or safe for winter driving. I had no other option at the time, so I had to take whatever vehicle was available. When it was time to return the truck, I asked an employee if I could simply pay for the gas I used, because they had mentioned that someone would be there to assist me after 8 PM. I explained that I wasn’t able to fill the tank completely, and I offered to pay $20–$30—whatever the charge would be. However, they still charged me an extra $30 fee for gas and other items. A couple of days ago, I already called and asked for a proper invoice, and the woman I spoke to told me she would waive those fees. But I can still see that the extra charges are there, which is completely unfair. I do not recommend this location. At the very least, the vehicles should be properly maintained, and the staff should know how to speak to customers respectfully.

Zachary BUHaul is notorious for slow check ins and system delays. Staff seem to be trying but corporate does make it easy. This location never, ever answers the phone once you're on hold.
