Staff talk among eac other while providing service to the client. I was going to because the attendant could not close the storage unit door correctly since you had to position it straight Before closing. This is how they rented storage to me. Very unprofessional. Made reservation one day in advance. Went to pick up the next morning. Took us 55 minutes to get to the counter. Only 5 people ahead of us. The cashier was extremely slow and not friendly. Drop off was only for 5 minutes. (Excellent)Shabbir A.

Too many fees , the guy that he was in the register he wasn't so polite he was acting like he didn't wanna help , also before my appointment I gave a call because I requested for a FORD van , they told me all set and when it was the day to pick it up they gave me something else , also in the miles range that had the van , I started with 2330 and after 3 blocks went one mile up , it's like ridiculous that I almost had to pay for an extra mile , To me was one of the worst experiences ever , for a van I used it 3,hours and I did 4 miles I paid 60$ and in the ad says 20$ !!!!!!! Reserved a storage unit for a move from nc.to ny. Upon arrival I was told they no longer had it. Service at the customer desk was not good not inviting. They found it after 1 hr. of waiting. The facility was dirty. I requested no insurance on my stuff because they force me to have it. They said no flammables and you have people moving in flammables in front of everyone. You need to send a supervisor to this facility to see how it works. The people receiving the equipment were great. Very fast and helpful. Awful experience checking into my previously-reserved storage unit. Team could not find my reservation, then could not find the unit I had reserved. Ended up being placed in a smaller unit after spending over an hour at the desk. To top this off, I was called a day after I returned my truck and asked when I would be returning it. When I called back to confirm that I had returned the truck with an employee the prior day, I was transferred to a virtual operator, which was not helpful. Upgrade your system. The system took 10 minutes to pull up my reservations. Because of this, people waited for an hour to get their car. Also the coordination between the key and the car was poor. The staff gave a key to the car that was deep inside the parking lot and was blocked by other cars. Why can you just give me the one in the front...Kang L.

When I returned teh truck, the associate did not give me a final receipt but said it would be emailed to me. Next day I got a call from the location that my truck was still not into the facility. When I told them that I had returned it the previous day, they sent me the final invoice. They added fuel service fee and fuel costs, when I had filled gas. I had to call customer service to get it reversed. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THAT LOCATION. The associates need re-training.Apoorv G.

Overall a good experience. I was given the wrong van initially from the one I booked, but it was remedied quickly. My one constructive comment is that the gasoline level was lower than what was on my contract. I updated it on the website and I hope I am charged according to the accurate gas level, not the one that was on my original contact.JULIAN W.

Your customer service phone service was being extremely difficult when i tried to register for the storage unit online. I'm moved from Virginia to NY and arrived to NY after office hours to be complete my registration in person. I had to pay my movers an extra $250 in the truck overnight because they wouldn't let me get my storage unit Sunday night. I learned it from the help of people at the facility in Woodside that I could've completed my registration online when the guy on the phone said that its impossible. I was not aware that if I arrived too late for pickup that they would give my truck away, even though I reserved it a month in advance. Thankfully there was still a 10' truck available and my movers were able to load it, but I was expecting a 17' truck. I appreciate the female agent who helped me get a truck at all, but giving away my truck in the first place was acceptable. I did not receive a phone call, text, or email warning me about this. Returning the truck took far too long because their QR codes were worn out and unreadable.Justin C.

The initial trailer I wanted to rent, the trailer lights didn't work. They offered another trailer to me as an alternative. The price changed and they charged my card without me approving the price. Maria was the only one helping us, so thanks to them. We were the only ones there and we were there for an hour. They switched us cars 3 different times, had one that the door was broken. I had the worst customer service experience OF MY LIFE at UHual Woodside, Queens. The employees were so rude to both me and my father. I came to pick up my uhaul and the lady helping me forced me to get out my phone and go through the process in front of her so I would know how to do the check in process myself for next time. She said because â€œpeople are acting stupid like they can't read and figure it out for themselves.â€ My dad was the primary driver so he needed to submit his license which didn't go through on his first attempt so she yelled â€œGET OUT YOUR ID AND DO IT AGAIN.â€ I will never be going back I left feeling so upset and have had the worst time trying to get into contact with customer service to let them know what happened.Brianna S.

Prior to keeping a storage unit with U-haul I was subject to petitory storage companies that would increase your rent every year taking advantage of the fact you'd probably not want to move out to another facility. The store manager Naasiha Matthews was incredible from the moment I walked in. I am currently disabled and unable to carry anything due to my crutches and she was kind enough to help me pick out my moving boxes not to mention put them in the car. That right there blew me away. We drove a 15-foot truck from Florida. The size online for the unit we rented did not fit the recommendation and we ended up having to get another unit to store the remaining items. We had a long process of moving into our unit as the loading dock that was closer to the unit was blocked and were told we should have waited until the end of the month as that is the time it would be clear. As stressful as our day was, this comment really did not help as we had to move when we had to move. There was a lot of trash around and we were worried we would get blamed for it even though it was there prior to our move. The girls at the front desk, however, were amazing and did the best they could to help us get a second unit and work with us on processes and procedures to save us some money.ALEXANDRA A. | Online Move In
