I had been instructed to return the truck to this location but not informed it would be closed. The process to return the truck is ONLY possible using the app or website, which was down at the time. There should be a way to check the truck back in at the location. After spending a long time on hold with customer service, they told me I would have to just sit and wait for the website to come back up. After refusing to do that, they checked again and said I could just drop the key in the slot and leave. I wasted an hour trying to return the truck properly. The after hours process needs a lot of work.

I had to wait 1 hour to be attended while being the 2nd on line. Paid for a 1/2 furniture pad that wasn’t given to me with my rental, and after returning the van they charged me for the full price of the pads as is if i received them and never returned it. Called to report the charged, was told they will refund me and nothing happened. Unusual experience with uhaul

Everything is ok, I love that location but today unfortunately when I return the car I get into a discussion with one of your employees..... the guy was in really bad mood when I was trying to return the truck ... I was trying to charge me for gas when I show him that in the morning when I take the truck other guy make a correction in the contract .... I going to the office and told the manager and she told me to bring the contract but when I get back to the guy to get my contract back he said he already trough out and he don’t remember where he put it one minute ago .... obviously he was lying..... that make me really upset because I’m renting trucks there a least once a week minimum ....

I asked desk rep if a circular pad lock is compatible with the truck latch, and I did not find out until I was at my destination the lock is too small to loop through the latch.

I went to the location in LIC and the van I requested was not there, they did not have a one way. I then needed to go to a different location and was not able to get the vehicle I wanted. You should notify your customs if the vehicle they request is not available.

I arrived at the location After making a reservation online. Suddenly I was told I needed two forms of photo IDs which was not stated to me on the website when I made the initial reservation, and then I was told by the field manager that U-Haul does this on purpose so that us as the customers are not prepared when we arrive. This is unsatisfactory. And is very shady of U-Haul to put such policies forward and not have the customer be ready. Had I not been able to reach someone over the phone I would not have been able to get the truck which would have delayed everything in my schedule for the month. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. So even though the location was OK and so was the truck, this service was absurd and the policy of U-Haul needs to be changed therefore, I’m rating this place negatively. Next time I will be going with another moving company that doesn’t follow such a shady policies.

First they call me at 8:30AM same morning to let me know that they have changed the location. It was like half hour away from my preferred U-haul location and there is no public transportation that get me there so I had to pay for a taxi to collect the van. I called to change it back to my preferred location but the girl on the phone was rude and just said “well is here now”. Then there was a line which I understand is busy but the problem was that the system was down apparently because they were using all 4 computers at the same time. Not my problem but they made it seem like it was. The person who was helping us seemed to be new and had no clue what he was doing, the girl next to us was able to help 3 customers while we were still waiting for the computer to work. Finally we asked if asked if the other employee could take us and she was amazing her name is Jessica she was very professional and whatever issues the other employee was having she didn’t have. We needed up getting the van at 11:30AM when the reservation was at 10AM. Later we had to call because needed to extend our return time and the operator told us that there was an extra fee of $43 which they charged to my card in file. Not cool! I was told that there was no issue for the delay in the return as long as I call to let them know but the operator still made the charge. We asked to speak to Jessica but apparently she was not available. Then she return the call and told us she was going to see what she can do. When I went to return the van the employee who took the van from us said that there were not going to charge the extra fee which I appreciated a lot but still don’t understand why would I have to be charged for it if was told the rental wasn’t by hour. Not a good experience at all. The only person that was helpful was Jessica.

The mileage is unreasonably expensive, the customer service is slow and never answers the phone, the trucks are not solid, there is little to no assistance. After 40 minutes trying to get somebody to answer and reschedule my order they sent me to the wrong location and then told me it was too late to get equipment because they had given it away. Total disappointment.

Trailer had 2 bald and bad tires on 1 side ... check your equipment more .... make sure there are spare tires for your equipment,

I was confirmed pick up at a different location over the phone. I arrived to the location, had difficulties using the app, staff told me “why did you choose mobile app”. I was waiting for at least 10 minutes for the confirmation from your operator on the app. The van was dirty. Additionally the location was further than the one I had chosen, costing me addition mileage and uber ride to it. Not to mention the moving staff cost, which ended up much higher due to the fact they were waiting for me, during this horrible process. Finally, when I returned the van, I wanted to speak to a manager, but was told by a very snarly employee (named joseph) that there is no manager on site. He told me I will be contacted today by general manager of the location, but that never happened. I do intend to go to public with this story of uhaul cheating their customers.
