Make sure you have the van or don't have the van by physically looking before you both accuse the customer of not returning it and charging him for a second day. Just. Fucking. Look. This was the worst example of customer service I've ever experienced.

There was no where to park the truck after hours so I squeezed in, luckily. But I'm so happy with the truck, the price and the great customer service.

First off the customer service was terrible. There was nothing explained by the associates and i was over charged and other the receipt it says “after hours service fee” after I picked up and dropped of the truck during regular business hours. Finally the truck was in terrible condition and not taken care of or cleaned at all. At a time when the world is stricken by Covid this facility does not take care of their equipment. If I was able to rate this facility and it's customer service worse than I already have I would.

How it is possible that you don't have extra set of keys for a truck. I got charge US$100.00 because I left the key in the switch and the truck was locked.

1. worst experience ever. 2. I spent 2 hours at the middle of the night waiting for a technical support to answer my phone and after they did that I spent another extra 30 minutes working with them to help unlock the car which didn't work at all so I had to go back home and go to the location next morning to pick up a truck when the store is open. the location didn't claim any responsibility and they said they can't give me a truck and sent me to another location which tried to play the same game of not being accountable. so I had to make huge seen and act like an a**hole to be heard and serviced. Otherwise no body wanted to help me or at least listen

Pick up of vehicle-on 10/3 at 3:30pm young African-American male was extremely rude to my husband and i when we asked about some missing furniture pads that were in my contract. Drop off (older African-American male) was extremely nice. Very kind and sweet person.

Waited over an hour after time told to get truck to be told they don't have keys to my truck. Than given a bigger truck and no compensation after waiting another hour for someone to bring truck around to front. This is all after I had truck reservation at manhattan location that called last minute to tell me they don't have truck. Can you please go to queens 6 hours later pickup and get truck there Cost me extra money for movers I had helping plus traffic etc. Never ever using. U haul again Also making sure to let anyone and everyone know how how this company does unsatisfactory business


Our original pickup location in Jamaica did not have our equipment available and sent us to a Flushing location which had broken equipment. We had to BEG them to find a place that could accommodate us, and that's how we ended up in Woodside. Everything prior to Woodside was an absolute nightmare and our move was nearly thrown off schedule as a result. We were moving a relative from Missouri to New York and there were many deadlines involved on both ends of the trip. When you promise equipment to a customer - and we reserved well in advance - that equipment should be available and functioning. There's no good excuse for what we experienced and, honestly, it's left a bad taste in our mouths with U-Haul. We would only consider U-Haul for inconsequential, local projects in the future. Having said all that, this is no reflection on the Woodside location which was very helpful to us. They stayed open later than they had to in order to finally get us on the road. We appreciate their kindness and professionalism.

The moving blankets I had rented/reserved weren't in the truck, but I didn't realize this until I was home. It was removed from my bill though, thanks to an excellent customer service representative via the website's chat feature (thanks, Bethane!). I'd say the online check-in feature could be improved by having customers ensure that they received all of the other items they rented for the move as well.
