The only issue I had was that the truck showed 31 miles and I kept putting gas and the fuel gauge would not budge even though I went around the gas station to make movement in the gas tank. So I kept adding fuel and after I put $50 worth of gas, suddenly the truck showed full tank and upon talking to the manager, was promised a partial refund but was not given in the final bill. I was told that I should have not gone according to the gauge but should have used common sense and shown them the $50 receipt and they would have accepted it. But I am sure then they would have decided to go with the gauge cause that's what they explain when renting the vehicle.

There was so much confusion on where to pick up the truck. Customer service told me one thing and over the phone they told me another. User friendly service, but the process on both ends were very unclear, caused trouble even when I was operating the vehicle.

I had to run around to three different uhual locations to find one that had the part that connects the trailer to my SUV for the lights. Even though I pre-ordered it online so when I went to pick it up it would be ready at the Jericho location. It was there but the gentleman knew right away ot was wrong. He said that is the wrong part and needed to locate the correct one. He tried it in my car just to make sure and he was right. I waited for over an hour for the gentleman to tell me no one knew the part number and no one has the and that he was talking about nearby. I had to get a refund on the part I ordered and told me to go to another store that deals with trailers to purchase the item. They were very helpful and I was able to get the part right away but it was located in Queens. I went from picking up my trailer from Jericho, NY to picking up the trailer go Woodside because no one had the part I ordered for my SUV. That ordeal cost me 2.5 hrs of my day and my family trip. My overall experience with the online order was just aweful.

Long line of customers when I arrived Sat Morning. Even though there were 3 just service reps helping , Customers requests were taking way too long , One person gave difficulty to the employees by not wanting to provide a phone number and eventually did after 20 min of arguing

I informed the agent when I returned the van that I had problems, and she checked the van to see. She confirmed that there was a problem. I told her how I wasted time because of the problem, but she didn't seem to care. I also told her how I accidentally fueled up 1/8 of a tank more than when I took out the van. Once again, she didn't seem to care. The van was returned in less than 8 hours instead of the 24 hours that it was reserved for. The agent was just very cold, and did not seem to care at all. They would charge $4.50/ gallon for fuel not replenished, but do not compensate for over fueling. They would charge for not returning the van on time, but do not compensate for wasting your time due to malfunction of their vehicle. At other truck rental places they acknowledge if their failure causes inconveniences. They apologize and compensate with discounts or future credits, but this agent just wanted to get her job done, and did not seem to care at all.

The location is fine. The check in process for the vehicle is EXCESSIVELY complicated. It took us over 30 minutes to finish the process of completing this check in and out. Please fix this. Its ridiculous

The location was severely understaffed, I waited over an hour to pick up my trailer even with doing the express check in.

This location is nearby Grand Central Parkway which is not allowed any commercial vehicles going, why U-Haul would pick this location. Customers need to drive a long way to other major highways, there is not really convenient to customers. Also, please update your website!!! We reserved a 15" box truck from your website on Thursday noon and would pick up the truck at location A on Saturday morning and return it at location B on same day. But one of your reps called us next day, our truck wasn't available at location A. If we insisted to get 15" truck, we had to pick up at another location (C), where we had to drive over 15 miles from location C to my place and the truck would be available on Sunday afternoon and have to return back to location C. Then, the rep told us that 10" truck was available in the Saturday morning, but still we had to pick up from location C, not location A! At the end, they charged us extra miles when we returned it.

The location was understaffed - only one person inside and one outside. The person in front of us had an issue with their cards processing, and we had to wait over half an hour. Our transaction itself was very smooth and simple, once they were up to us, but we were on a tight timeline, and they should have granted a free extension of our truck due to their delays.

easy location to get to, good amount of parking space for any one who needs to pick up someone. We were able to drop off the truck during the operationing hours and actually handed it off to a person, who met us right away when we arrived - no long wait. But had we needed to drop it off after hours we could have as it has 24 hour drop off.

I had scheduled my rental for 11 am - 3 pm, for a 9' Cargo Van this past Saturday, June 30th. When I booked the reservation (6/28) online it showed a "reservation guarantee" seal with "$50" in the center of this seal. I ended up calling the next day (6/29) b/c I wanted to see if it was possible to extend the reservation by an hour, just in case, and was told that that location was all booked up, that there were reservations on either side of mine and while she couldn't extend my reservation, the one I had made was good to go. When I showed up on Saturday (6/30), I was told that the "system" had overbooked that location and that they didn't have a van for me, and they didn't know, when or, if they would. Finally I was told that a van had come in, however there was a couple before me that had booked one of the larger moving trucks and that they were obligated to offer the van to them first, however if they declined the van then they could allow me to take that van. It was 11:46 before my reservation actually began, and another 5-10 minutes before I was done at the counter and able to actually get into the van and go.

I rented a cargo van to move a couch and the process wasn’t as quick as I imagined. For starters the representived needed 3 emergency contact numbers for the rental which I was told was company policy. I understand for sercuity reasons you need a contact and backup but I thought it was inconsiderate to involve an additional third party. I’ve never had to provide so much information to rent a truck. Also the van I was provided smelled disgusting. For a van that had less than 10k miles was trashy to say the least. Overall, it got the job done and return as easy.
