Needed a trailer for some weekend chores and they had what I needed in stock as I reserved the night before. This location can tend to be busy on the weekends but I think a mid-day pickup helped. Good friendly service from start to return.

Dear U-Haul Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent truck rental on April 11, 2026. My experience was marked by several logistical failures and policy issues that caused significant stress and financial strain. First, my confirmed reservation was moved to a different pickup location at the last minute. This change added unnecessary mileage to my trip and caused a one-hour delay. Despite having a reservation confirmed with a debit card and intending to pay with cash or debit at the counter, my family was informed upon arrival that only a credit card would be accepted. Being forced to use a credit card was not communicated during the booking process and was a major inconvenience. Furthermore, I was charged $12.00 for a dolly that was not provided. Instead, a flat furniture mover (labeled with a $7.00 rental price) was left in the truck. Because the staff insisted the equipment was already loaded and did not allow a pre-departure inspection, this error was not discovered until the truck was an hour away in my driveway.Consequently, I had to spend two additional hours sourcing a proper dolly to move heavy furniture up three flights of stairs. I never used the flat mover and request a full refund of the $12.00 charge. Due to the relocated pickup, the payment policy confusion, and the incorrect equipment, my move—which should have concluded by 10:00 PM—was not finished until 2:00 AM. I am requesting the following: 1. A refund of the $12.00 equipment charge. 2. A credit or partial refund for the extra mileage and significant inconvenience caused by these errors. 3. A phone call to discuss these matters further. I value professional business partnerships and hope to resolve this directly rather than through negative public reviews. I look forward to hearing from you soon to rectify this situation.

One of the newer managers (His name begins with M but I cannot remember what it was) was amazing. He was extremely communicative to all the customers. His quick thinking when a computer wasn’t available was to use his phone to check parties out. It was a very smooth transaction. He delegated his employees well with respect and kindness. Overall a fantastic hire for this location. Only recommendation for the store is to either get more computers for employees or maybe some iPads to more easily check customers out like the quick thinking he had to use his phone. Will continue to use this location!

You trucks parkings are dangerously parked to cover the view of a driver driving out unto the road which has a very high degree of causing accidents. When trucks are returned after hours, there are not enough spaces for customers to park trucks well.

I had to wait 45 minutes. It was understaffed., this is my first time renting a truck. I had no idea what I was doing and no one that helped me, I had to flag down some one that was walking around busy. I personally don’t like doing things on an app. And put my information on there. I called days before to request a truck wasn’t told anything about doing anything on the app or to be early I almost missed my appointment to pickup our stuff. Even the person behind me was frustrated !

We rented the truck on 3/28/26. The app was slow and kicking people out, and the system at the counter was slow as well. I finally got the app to work by the time I reached the counter. But I have to say, the staff at this location never showed an ounce of frustration. And they were getting quite a line. Their customer service was fantastic!!! So kudos to them getting through a super busy Saturday morning with a slow system that wasn't their fault. When we brought the truck back the evening of 3/29/26, we didn't have the best of luck with the girl who met us at the truck. She told us that we didn't bring the truck back with the correct amount of gas. When we picked up the truck it was a little below half a tank. The paperwork showed half a tank, but had a notation that the gas was below that. She was very abrupt/rude when telling us that we would have to pay $30 to bring the tank up to what the paperwork said (or we could go to the gas station next door and take care of filling). Her supervisor came out, looked up the paperwork and saw that we didn't receive the truck at half a tank, and it was under just like the typed note that was on our paperwork. We went to the gas station and put 2 gallons of gas in, as that is all that was needed. Had she read the paperwork and listened to us before snapping, this would've been a great transaction all the way around.

Parking is insufficient. I had to enter the lot from the exit lane and park in a truck staging lane. As a result the lot attendant came inside and was very rude telling customers they need to move their cars without providing them with alternative parking spaces. It was obvious that she was having a bad day. She was very unprofessional and not helpful at all.

Uhaul had 13 miles until empty when we rented it, and when I returned it it had 50 miles until empty, and I still had to pay like $40 fuel charge!.. also there was a traffic jam of uhauls when trying to return it and we had to enter through the exit

This poor store. Every time I have used this store, the staff is overwhelmed and the equiptment has been "hit or miss". This time, it took us over an hour to pick up a trailer. This was bc only 1 person showed up for work. Now, I understand that staffing these days is very difficult but if this store were taken care of by corporate, staff would be motivated to show up. this is a CORPORATE responsibility. The only reason for the average rating is the CORPORATE IRRESPONSIBILITY! Not the staff.

The employees at this location is no help they act like they hate their job or just don’t even acknowledge when customers come in. I had an issue where i was being charged a fee that i did not owe the guy was being really smart like it was my fault and i was lying. Told us to call the number on the paper while i had a time frame i had to pick something up which almost left me without something important. The amount he said i owed i actually pay too him so i knew i didn’t owe anything. I call the customer service number just too be on hold for over 30 mins. My pick up was suppose to be 4pm i didn’t get everything settled till i actually went on the U-Haul app and spoke with a customer rep who help me right away. I didn’t get out of there til 440 i had an appointment at 5pm too use this van. I’ve always used this company for moving or just picking something up but after this yall have lost my business. Whoever runs the U-Haul on Roosevelt in York pa needs to be fired and hire all new people who actually don’t mind helping customers. The same guy i watched when i paid what i owed from my last visit was getting smart with two men who had language barriers. He really need some customer service training.

The truck I reserved online was blocked in by another truck so even though I went though the whole process of getting my keys online and had the keys ready to go , I still have to go and get a employee to give me another truck , felt like kind of waste of time but an easy problem to fix

Truck smelled like an ashtray. Windows were filthy, I drove 18 miles and was disgusted, glad no one else got in the cab. The truck served the purpose, I was safe and my possessions and yours were safe, so for that I am thankful. The checkout process was horrible, the two big signs said wait at the truck, the small sign forced me to use my app. Switch those around. Also, two checkout workers who took the two trucks in front of me saw me and ignored me, customer service wise, horrendous.

This is a personal oversight possibly, but it was not clearly articulated that the rental was an "in town" requiring return to same store. Additionally, during both pickup and drop off staff appeared visibly inconvenienced that a customer wanted equipment from a uhaul store. Finally, the trailer had garbage, albeit a small amount in it at pickup to include an empty "nip" bottle of liquor. Ultimately didnt impact my opinion of the equipment; however, with the threat a service charge for clean up i had to take it upon myself to remove the previous users trash. Equipment served its purpose but i will more than likley use a different store in the future if options are available.

I repeatedly got alerts that I hadn’t paid my unit and that I was locked from getting in despite paying ahead of time every payment. The explanation was “that happens sometimes just ignore it”. My keycard kept locking me out even with swiping out everytime. My door alarm would not shut off and ran for at least 5 minutes at one point with no response from staff. When moving out I found mouse droppings on top of multiple boxes of mine.

I drove from UHaul in Graham, Nc. The truck was awful, it leaked rain over my boxes, it was rough and loud. The man at the Uhaul facility was horrible. I will never use a Uhaul truck except for very local use. The Yotk, PA facility was good.

My main problem is the cost. I was charged $148 a month for a 5×8 unit because it was on the first floor. For 3 months my stuff was there and a friend of mine was telling me about Extra Space Storage, I spoke to someone who said they have a 10× 6 unit for $31 a month which is very reasonable and it's on the first floor. I am very happy there. U-Haul is a ripoff!!!!!

Phillip was outstanding. They were extremely busy but Phillip gave you his full attention as s if you were the only customer in the store. Great personality and very knowledgeable. Also spoke with Job, who I dealt with during a previous truck rental, he is always professional and helpful. The staff works well together and makes the environment comfortable. This is my first storage rental unit with U-Haul and at this point they have been top notch.

The unit I was assigned was as far from the door as possible in the building, I needed to remember an inconvenient access code which needed to be entered every time I wanted to go in. The worst part is that there were two roll up doors for loading/unloading when I rented the unit and they removed one and put up a cement block wall leaving only 1 access point. I went to get large items out of my unit 4 times waiting hours for other people to finish and move so I could gain access totaling 10 hours of wasted time. Dreadful experience.

I did see roaches in the storage unit it's all wood inside not sure if it's easier to infest then metal but I did see a roach right on the door when I opened it up. Unfortunately I had no choice but to move it in or I wouldn't have had the truck back in time .

Storage area was ok but the rental of the truck was a disaster first off I had to find the vehicle myself when it wasn't in the assigned parking spot and the guy sent out a guy to look for it and he came back in and started taking care of customer like I was a nobody and the vehicle was wrecked I went back in right away and reported it and the guy said take pictures but I'm sure we are aware of it he said and he said bring it back on half tank of gas and it was not on a half tank to begin with so took a picture of that with the mileage so they try and say I put more miles on it then what I did and also it wasn't even cleaned out it smelled like cow poop and in the front was dusty and leaves and dirt all over the floor and the passenger side seat looks like it had marijuana or dryed something on the seat so in my in my defense they didn't do anything to it at all I got it as is

Employees offered wonderful customer service. While Uhaul the company offered zero customer service and forced me to hire a locksmith to service the unit and the lock that I paid UHAUL for service. The company who’s product failed, forced a paying polite customer to spend $135+ to service YOUR UNIT/PRODUCT. I didn’t rent a unit from a locksmith. I didn’t pay a locksmith for the UHAUL lock that immediately jammed. I didnt put my credit card and personal info on anyone else’s business account but yours UHAUL Your employees were helpful, but horrifically ill informed. Two employees agreed I could buy bolt cutters and deal with the failed lock myself. Your management is so greedy with knowledge ( to hold a totalitarian state) that neither (pleasant) employees was educated enough to tell a HIGHLY UPSET PAYING CUSTOMER. Thattttt, NO sir you cannot do that. It’s against policy, no bolt cutters won’t work. Not a word. Clearly poor management. So I'm not only in the hole for UHALS failed lock, also the unit. Which UHAUL refuses to service? Seriously? Its your bloody product. I'm now $325+ in the hole for 48hrs of tragic service/failed product. Your employees also kindly informed me I could get a refund. Before 30days of “service” expired. So I'm irrate to say the least.

The wall in unit 7004 needs to be repaired on the right hand side near the floor, the cement is falling off. Uhaul corporate needs to help Staff to know what exactly the size of each unit can hold. The young lady who opened my account looked on your site & tried to find the info out but it doesn’t explain/identify that clearly. For example, a 10x15x6 unit can fit a one to two bedroom apartment/home?! Yes/No?! Or is appropriate for a one bedroom apartment? I ended up not using your facility because you couldn’t tell me that and that was vital to knowing if my items could fit. That is a MAIN point of improvement and also it would be nice if you can let staff know what size can fit as noted above. The young lady was professional helpful and kind & I appreciated that.

My stuff is sitting in the hallway waiting for the lock smith to show up he seems to be busy these days because it been almost 24 hours. Also I questioned why My Im being charged 10x10 rate while my storage is 8x8. I was told the price board was incorrect. It also seem that the website is incorrect too. Bottom line I've been overcharged for a storage room, while my expensive stuff sits in the hallway.

I like the facility in Colorado much better. This one is not az well-lit nor maintained.us the one in Colorado is climate controlled. Also, I oy need a 5x5 but had to take and pay for one two sizes bigger. Also, this one is not as convenient as my other one but just as pri ey. However, we needed to inload our trailer right away.

In-person customer service was excellent. Employees are knowledgeable, courteous, understanding and patient. They appear to be overworked, though. More employees could eliminate the long lines and improve customer service experience. There also doesn’t appear to be anyone answering the phone at this particular location. The person who took care of us did as much as they had to do. Not very customer friendly. I also asked about a mouse problem since there was a big sticky mouse trap in the storage unit I was renting. I was told there wasn’t a problem. The only problem was the sticky mouse trap got stuck to one of my boxes and it cannot be removed no matter how much you pull at it. It seems to me there is a problem or there wouldn’t have been a mouse trap in my storage unit to begin with. One more thing to worry about.

Supervisor was very disrespectful with my wife and when appropriately and respectfully approached about, he had a seemingly "i dont care" attitude and didnt even as much apologize or even try to understand his wrong doing. His only response was "ok" when I explained the situation that I wasn't there for and how criticizing a customer who didn't hear you for legitimate reasons is wrong. He simply walked away to avoid something he was wrong for which is completely unprofessional and he shouldn't be in a position he doesn't deserve with that negative attitude. I'm a 14 and ongoing army vet, I shouldn't have to worry about my wife having that kind of situation while I'm out with my daughter. If I trust you enough to do business with you for over a year with storage and utilize your vehicle services why do I need to worry about her going into your facility and dealing with your employees? Do I need to go in from now on to fend for myself just to do business?

There was only one time during my unit rental that I was two days late on a payment. I honestly had forgotten about it as the due date was over a weekend. I received an email about it and quickly called and made a payment as well as set up for auto pay. The thing that upset me is that in that time (two days...first time late) they had already sent letters to BOTH of my contact people about me not paying. That's when I decided to up my timeline and get moved out before paying anymore. Everything else was great, but that seemed a bit harsh and quick.

My only problem was that the storage room had no light, and yes facility is well lit, but there seem to be a bit of a rodent issue and i had no type of food or any thing that would attract mice rodent or etc...but overall my experience with u haul went well

Storage situation was fine even tho they did not add my automatic payment multiple times and tried to fine me late fees even after I called multiple times to set up automatic payment. Unit was fine but some rats got into my stuff and pooped on my stuff.

Worst uhaul EVER! Mice got into ALL my stuff and completely ruined EVERYTHING! He told me I should of gotten insurance then. I was charged a $50 late fee for 1 day late. I will NEVER use UHAUL again.
