This UHaul was very poor in their planning and customer service. I was scheduled to get a tow dolly for my UHaul truck at 6:30 PM, and had confirmed this time the previous day. I got a call at 4:30 PM, 2 hours before I was supposed to pick up the tow dolly, that the four tow dollys that this UHaul had the night before had somehow "mysteriously disappeared." This likely means they rented them out to others who wanted them, and because of this I was forced to drive my 20 foot UHaul truck to a UHaul 1 hour away which was the closest UHaul to me that had a tow dolly available. This caused me to lose two and a half hours of my moving day, in addition to the extra expense of gas to drive the truck there as well as the extra miles put on the truck. This was extremely frustrating and caused my moving day to be much less efficient than it could have been, in addition to being more costly for me in the long run.

Not very happy that the green straps for the dolly and the furniture pads were already broken upon receiving the truck so we got charged for something we didn't even use. Especially not happy that I called the day of my reservation to make sure there would be a lock on the truck since we were loading the truck the night before moving. But the time we were done and ready to lock up the truck it was after 9:30pm and we found the only lock on the truck had a key stuck in it. Very frustrating since I paid alot of money for the truck and we had to figure out at 9:30 at night what to do. Ended up having to take the lock off of our shed that still had stuff in it and leave it unlocked over night. It is also very disappointing that when my husband returned the truck the employees did not really seem to care at all about the situation. They should really be checking that kind of stuff and fixing it before renting the trucks. It was overall a truly disappointing experience and will probably not return in the future.

The milage on car was different by 7 miles than the milage on the receipt. The lady told me she gonna adjust my rate . But nothing happened.

The manager was very helpful, explained all information clearly and patiently, and made sure I and other customers were not waiting too long. The employee checking in my rental upon returning was held up by the iPhone system malfunctioning, which lengthened the amount of time it took to check out.

Received dirty truck. When we returned it it was clean ( cleaner then when we received it) and they charged us a $25 cleaning fee! Can never get through on the phone to anyone unless you want to make a reservation! To dispute or talk to anyone else, uhaul sends you to limbo land where there are NO customer service reps available!!!!

The manager changed completely my reservation a day before my moving without my authorization and notification. I had a month free storage, and she canceled that one too. She told me that she will help me to find new storage with the same price, and I wasted another day because of her suggestion. She did not offer me any similar storage, and I had to rent another storage with almost double price. The dolly in the truck was useless and it was not functional, and I had to pay $7 for nothing. In general, my worse experience with U-Haul... unfortunately this is the only uhaul store nearby, but I am not sure why they do not care about this...

I worked with Mandie Mcculley on Saturday, and she was absolutely phenomenal! Despite having a rental for a 15ft truck, the corporate team kept leaving me voicemails saying no such truck was available and switched my reservation to a 26ft truck. Once arriving to the Ypsi location, (which was extremely busy and low on trucks) Mandie took the time to listen to my hesitation and frustration toward being switched to a 26ft truck. She then went out of her way to show me various cargo vans that were in stock. As that cargo van was too small, Mandie then took the time to go through the reservations and play a game of "tetris" to get me into a smaller truck. I cannot thank Mandie enough for helping make my move as smooth as possible and ensuring I felt comfortable driving the Uhaul.

The truck initially assigned to me couldn’t be located. When I got to the new truck, it was parked so close to the next one that the mirrors were turned in. I ended up hitting the truck next to me when pulling out. They were very accommodating when I needed to extend my return time.

We was giving the wrong key to the truck that was giving to us was told the wrong location of the truck. They had to give us another truck when they gave us the truck we should have it was VERY dirty. so they put us in another truck and again it was dirty, we was running behind so we had to just keep it.

Over all I have enjoyed the last several experiences at this location. I was very disappointed with the conversation I had yesterday with a rep on site at about 5:40PM. I was concerned that I would be able to make it back by 10:25AM 5/3 and asked what my options where. I was simply told that the only option was to return the equipment on time. that it was reserved for the next day at 11 am for a lovely family that I was not to inconvenience. I inquired on what would happen if I didn't make it on time? the agent started speaking of inconvenience fees I would be charged that she didn't know the amount would be, but I would be charged. At this point I was annoyed and stated thatl you would need to know those amount and they would need to be in the contract to enforce them. but I will figure it out and get it back on time. Previously I was not going to make a big deal about the fact that no one had confirmed my reservation which when I reserved online seems to be a big push for your company, and if not you receive a $50 credit. No call came into my phone for this. This is the 3rd trailer I have rented in the last 30 days to facilitate my current move and I will need to rent 2 more times over the next 30 to finish moving items from one home to another. I am very disappointed in the customer service I received from this individual. BUT it is just this one individual the rest of the ladies have been lovely, kind and courteous every time. Which is why I continued using this location. I put no down for recommending this location based on this. If I find that this issue is handled appropriately I would reconsider this. I work in property management in Ann Arbor and I would never want to refer someone to a location and them get this kind of treatment.

Make sure that once you leave the center and need road side assistance the lines of communication are quick and accommodating. If you don’t have a smart phone you can’t do all the things being ask of you. uHaul. Com is difficult to use and getting through to customer service is not clear and not easy. Three breakdowns later a trip of 8 hours became a 16 hour trip.

I arrived at my scheduled pick up time and had to wait for 15 min as the four staff at the counter helped the one person ahead of me. Only 1 of the 4 staff seemed competent. There was fast food garbage all over the counter top. The van itself smelled and the dash was sticky. Turn signal light was on its way out.

Your after hour online return is a nightmare with all the screens and codes and such, needs to be simplified. Took me a half hour to check in and wasn't clear if it was done correctly so i lokced the vehicle and dropped the keys in the slot. Frustrating!!!

The lady that helped me with my reservation was AMAZING. She had red hair and some cool facial piercings. She was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. When I went to return my vehicle, she stayed late to help me with the process. Could not have been happier with the staff.

I was very upset with how my experience started and ended. I had my order set up with the correct drop off location so that everything was coordinated correctly orginally. However, I was offered an extra 24hours if I picked up the UHAUL early to help the location out. I was happy about that, but when they set up my drop off location, they sent me not to Plymouth, but to Plymouth rd in Ann Arbor: an extra 20 min drive out of my way and not a location that I could drop off my UHAUL. As a result, I was charged more for mileage. I was never told I could still drop off at my original location if I used their drop box for after hours. They set up my return time for a time when my preferred location was closed and it was set up to a location far away from my new address. In addition, my carpet pads that I ordered were not even in my truck when I picked it up. This experience was a nightmare and it could have been handled better when I picked up my UHAUL at the Washtenaw Ave location if they had been better organized and had given me all the information I needed beforehand to better plan my move since everything changed when I picked up my UHAUL earlier to help out this location. I do not think I will be using UHAUL again.

The truck they gave me had the dire tail light pop off in the 15” drive to my house. I spend over 1’ trying to get hold of someone through the main U-Haul # and I was put on hold multiple times. The phone system cut me off & I was told 2 x’s That the problem was reported. Some did call and suggest I bring the truck back after 2hours but by then it was loaded. They then told me this happens and to put pop it back in. I finally was able to contact road assistance after 3 attempts on the app. The office that called told me to wait till they got back to e delaying me even further. By this time I had found a way to pop it back in. The road assistant called me back and said if I felt comfortable to tape it around the light 2. We did that but then I was stuck in busy traffic and driving rain. Also the truck was so uncomfortable because the seat had no adjustment and there was no cruise control. Y time I got to Grand Rapids I could barely get out of the truck and walk. It was a horrible experience and will never use your services again.

We had to call to have our box delivered because you never called like you said you would and you didn't have a record of me ordering a box and a mover. After a couple of hours you found out that we had. The box showed up on the day we ordered it without a mover and late afternoon not in the morning as ordered. When you dropped off the box your forklift was broken so it took a couple hours for a repairman to come out and fix it so I had three people standing around waiting to unload it.

The only thing I may think about it ...is adding more employees to make the work faster. Even I experianced hard working from all the stuff while maintaining nice and friendly dealing, but some people may wish to have faster service . Think that branch is the best ever I've deal with. As well as the most friendly employees It was a pleasure dealing with your guys there
