I was originally scheduled to go to Jackson Ann Arbor and there was no one at the location and the truck was not ready. I had to wait till the next morning to pickup the truck - it cost me extra to move my day, move-out on the next day, and obviously Ubers to go the new location that was further away. The issue I have isn't with this location. It is with getting overcharged for extra miles that I had to drive to pick up the truck in the first place. U-Haul couldn't fulfill my original reservation for a 15' Truck in Howell Mi and forced me to change the pickup Location to Mason Mi which was over 50 miles out of my way and a day later.John T.

Staff was amazing and so nice. The staff and low price would be the main reason I return. Store was very dirty and the lights on the trailer I rented kept going out while driving. I would have to get out and unplug/wiggle wires to get it on.PAIGE S.

we had a hard time getting a uhaul after getting passed around to different locations. we drove away with the uhaul and the engine light came on and they told us to come back. finally we were on our way and and it drove.Isabella C.

The van that I rented was very smelly & not wiped down on the inside, just nasty sweaty smelling. If the seats were sanitized after each use along with the front driving areas being wiped down, it would make a world of difference.Salundia Y.

The pig tail connector had something wrong and drained my truck battery to point of buying a new $163 battery while on our way across country. It was confirmed by the mechanic and when I returned it and mentioned this, this location in Michigan told me a manager would call me or the location in Idaho where I picked up and I never got a call. When I called myself to speak to someone they told me that I can't prove anything but they'll have someone Call me. Really? I have the receipt showing I had to buy a new battery and it was the only explanation for what happened. Still no call back. Will not be using uhaul for any future hauling needs.Alisa B.

We didn't get the U-Haul for the time we booked. Neither we got a call nor email stating that it wouldn't be available for the time we booked. It was our last day of contract. We went to U-Haul for pickup of our truck and That's when they said it's not available we had to go back all the way. Later after 2 hours they notified us that the truck is available. It was really a hassle for us. I'd never ever recommend any one to book U-Haul. It was a bad experienceVishwas V.

I was charged for gas when I put $21 of gas in before drop off. Also shows that I drove over 60 miles when I only drive half that amount tops. Milage in truck was in the 140,000 range. Paperwork showed 160,000 range. Was told to drop off and no need to come inside after drop off. I feel like I've been played.Tristan M.

I rented a van. I messed up wanted it for longer but actually reserved for only 4 hrs they told me to return it by 3 pm and I did. I reserved again for the next day. When I got there the next day the van was not available because the previous customer apparently extended their rental. She said I should have been notified by text. Sure enough there was a text but it was sent 3:30 the time I was supposed to pick up. I was there by 3:45. I felt I should have gotten a phone call, repeated texts and an email. I was very happy I did get a payment of $50 as per the agent. Luckily I only had smaller furnitures that I was able to use my compact suv to complete my move, with multiple trips. It helped me not be terribly upset. I also un intentionally overfilled the tank of the van. It indicated tank was full. It was below but touching the full tank line. So I accepted it as full. When I filled it it went over the full tank line. It caused me $20 for gas. I travelled 20 miles total with the rental. The store does not reimburse for overfilled tanks( agent tried to ask the manager) If this is the policy you should make sure tanks are really full. It would be hard to gauge how much to put in. I checked my credit card statement and saw I got the $50 payment for the unfulfilled reservation. I also got charged $8. I am waiting for an email receipt to explain the charge ( I already checked my spam folder) I am guessing its for the 20 miles travelled. Otherwise the store agents inside and outside were friendly, pleasant and helpful.Maria R.

Everything was perfect. Location was easy to get into and out of, and signage was clear. Panel van was in great condition, air conditioning worked which was important for moving on this hot day. Check in was fast, check out was fast. Directions were written down and were clear. I would definitely come here again and I would recommend it to my friends and neighbors.Annette M.
Aaron and Trevor were exceptional considerate and inviting. Everything was spot on. The entire staff (those working inside and outside) Friday, the 22nd around 9a to 9:30. The policies at this location were not customer friendly. First of all, I waited 30 min for the one employee to assist me. I was given the truck with 1/4 tank of gas, which meant I was obligated to fill up before starting my move. I expected a full tank. It seems like they rely on customers to do what should be a porter's job. I also thought the $20 overnight drop off fee was another sham. The truck was in poor condition and often I feared for my safety as the brakes were mushy and the shocks nonexistent.Louis G.

I drove ~30 miles, put over 3 gallons of gas back in it and was charged for 4 gallons of gas. I have pictures of the gas gauge at pickup and return and they are very close but I was still charged. Not sure what else I could have done other than just fill the truck up. On pickup, I was told it had 7/8 in it and I had to go back into the store to correct. I guess because it was raining, the person didn't want to go outside with me. Truck was also in very rough shape and smelled like SMOKE.Christopher B.

This location charges for mileage and gas. There is another location in Ypsi that I rented from a few days before that only charges gas. Price difference was $20 on a 2-hour trip. Why pay more if you don't have to?!Melanie R.

I rented the 26 footer. I was a wreck. I should've not even accepted it. But I was in a hurry to get moving. It was difficult to steer straight, as it wandered all over the road. It was smashed in in many places and the front bumper was pulled forward on the driver's side. Worst of all the ramp was broken. It falls off when you pull it out (good thing it never landed on anyone's feet), and you need to put your fingers underneath the ramp to guide the broken/ rusted rail guides to get it back inside. When I told the check out guy outside about it he had me go back inside... stand in line again-- just to tell the clerk inside about the ramp problem. Then I had to go back outside to demonstrate the broken ramp problem to him. Why did I have to do all that extra work? It already took my movers an extra half hour just to figure out how to get the ramp back inside the first time. So they got paid more... by me, because of UHaul's broken equipment and then the the UHaul facility takes more of my time showing them how to work their broken equipment. And I still paid full price for everything. I'm beyond angry.Sean G.
