This was a very disappointing experience. Not only was the staff unhelpful, but at times they were combative, aggressive, and rude. I experienced long wait times for service at the counter, and the employees seemed unfriendly and completely disinterested in assisting customers. Their behavior came across as unprofessional and inattentive, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.
John CThe trailer was clean and well-maintained. But it is also a very old unit, and the trailer door was incredibly hard to open and close. The door got stuck in the open position with the latch getting caught above the door frame. There is no handle on the door, so closing the door was a challenge for a couple of people using the trailer. It worked just fine for its purpose and drove well. My only complaint is the back door situation.

This U-Haul location consistently delivers a positive vibe and excellent customer service. As a mover, I’ve been to multiple U-Haul locations, and this one is by far in my top five. The staff is always helpful, professional, and makes the whole process easy. Highly recommended!
NUUOVEA STop-tier experience! The truck drove great, and although the location didn’t have the dolly I originally wanted, the representative helped me find an alternative solution. They suggested using the Arm Forklift moving straps, and it actually made the job much easier. I appreciate the helpful service and willingness to find a solution. Thank you!

Refused to say more than two words to be and just stared at me a few times when I said something. Acted as if he wasn’t being paid to work there. Suggest working on your customer service.
Shelby FI use this location regularly and, unfortunately, have not usually had a good experience. There is typically only one person working at the front, and in the past I have felt that customer concerns were not handled well. However, this time was different. After I expressed my frustration and explained the issue, she was very helpful, took the time to assist me, and genuinely tried to resolve the problem. I really appreciated her effort.
KATAYOUN SThis rental was a very tricky situation for me. I was stuck and HAD to be a a certain place with a large amount of equipment. The 15' truck they gave me, I think it was #2073, was almost undrivable. The alignment was very bad, and I mean really bad. It took a substantial amount of work to keep this truck from driving into the left wall of the road. It pulled to the left like it only wanted to go that direction. Even with this bad issue, I had no other options but to just hold on the the steering wheel as hard as I could. There is NO WAY THAT THIS TRUCK SHOULD HAVE BEEN RENTED TO ANYONE, AND NO WAY THAT THIS TRUCK HAD BEEN TESTED BY ANYONE. I made it to my appointment, I have notified U-haul of the issues with this truck, so that no other person has to go through what I was forced to go through. When renting from U-haul, always be sure to Leave extra time to throughly check out your truck on the road before you do your trip. Because in my experience, they will rent you anything in ANY condition without any care of what might happen to thier customer. If your customer dies in the process of a rental, then they certainly won't be able to rent from them again, which should be seen as a bad business decision.🫤
MICHAEL GThe 15' truck had issues, that shouldn't have been allowed to be rented. The "Tow/Haul" button at the end of the shift was completely non-functional, it was either stuck in the tow/haul position, or not. It was impossible to turn off on the dash. The passenger side door lock was completely non-functional, the only way to enter was from the driver's side. These trucks are NOT checked by the rental company, no matter what they say they do. With all the issues, it was substantially better than the almost undrivable truck given to me on the previous rental 10 days earlier. Even with the broken tow/haul function, this truck made the trip successfully, but it was the other rental that concerned me. When is this company going to truly start monitoring their equipment, or does it take a tragedy to occur before they take a truck off their rental inventory.
MICHAEL GThis rental truck had only 1/8 tank of gas when I picked it up. To me it seems that UHaul should understand that when you go pick up your truck you expect to drive straight to the site to load it up where helpers are waiting. 1/8 tank is just too low to be able to go load up without getting gas first. Then of course you have to go get gas a second time to bring the level back up to 2/8 tank. Seems an inconsiderate business practice.

BEHYAR FPoor service, snarky, poorly trained employees, prices higher different than posted and an overall poor consumer experience. This is the last time I will use U HAUL.
Randal BI picked up a car transport and the employee for the original rental was helpful and courteous. I hooked the trailer up myself due to no lot attendant. I tracked down the sole attendant and he verified the rental and the trailer being attached. I did not notice any damage to the trailer until I got the location and had picked my new car to be towed home. I noted the rear tires on the tandem axle trailer were worn and in dispreair. I called the yard and they said they had no other trailers available. I towed the car to my location and then returned the trailer the same day. On arrival, there was only one employee, who was more involved with his social media than me. He said the trailer was checked in and to just park it in the lot. I asked where and he pointed to anywhere the back. I pulled in and dropped the trailer and the employee was still on his phone and little interaction. I told him of the tire issue and he stated they will handle it. I left the lot while he engaged a friend that showed up and had his full attention.

Mark MThere were no furniture dollie available even though I reserved one. The counter representative simply said "there are no dollies" and made no apology or attempt to help. The customer representative also did not inform me about taking photos of the vehicle before leaving the lot. I only got the text message about doing so after I left the lot. And when I followed the link to upload photos the link didn't work.

Michael NI had a really difficult move, and at times it felt like a complete nightmare. Even though none of the issues were related to the Concord U-Haul location on Monument Boulevard, the team there did everything they could to make my move as smooth as possible. You don’t come across many people these days who genuinely care about helping someone in need, but the staff here went above and beyond. They were patient, understanding, and worked with me through every challenge I faced. Life kept throwing bumps in the road my way, but they did their best to help turn a negative situation into a positive one. I truly appreciate everyone at U-Haul on Monument Boulevard for their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help. My move is finally over, and I’m grateful for everything they did. I’ll definitely be back in the future and will be recommending this location to all of my family and friends. Thank you all for your outstanding customer service!

I’ve never been able to complete a pick up or return fully on your App. It always has some issue in the process. It has too many steps and the technology is too old. I also received constant texts and updates that were wrong in regard to returning the equipment.

Isiah BAll staff on phone or in person sells the deal as "It just $19.95 for the day" then drops the $99.00 total on you. It would be more fair and transparent to ask about or include the more accurate price up front. Pretty easy to give a estimated price based on the predicted mileage this day and age. It feels purposely misleading and most likely is. Overall a decent rental experience, just an observation I believe it felt and shared by many.

Chris M8:30 am checkin. Guy at front desk flipping through his phone as I sat there waiting. Another person walks up and he starts taking information. I asked him what’s up inquiring why he didn’t get started with me. He said “I said come over here and you didn’t respond.” I’ve got great hearing and the rest of our interactions really summed it up. Not one word out of his mouth was anything other than a mumble. Got back at 2:45pm. Asked about procedures. I was told to go in back with the car. I waited for 20 minutes then just unhooked it myself. Really poorly managed.

When I dropped off trailer staff seemed not to care that the suspension was broken. This is a potentially dangerous condition and should be fixed. No offer of refund or apology of faulty equipment

Was given a truck that was behind another truck so I had to go back to the front desk to get that issue resolved. She ended up just switching me to the truck in front. Then I was never sent the new text link for that truck so I had to go back inside again. What should have been 5 minutes turned into 15 minutes

Khatira QI was dropping off a trailer and went into the office for assistance. Inside was a little guy with the long hair helping another customer. I noticed he had a cell phone permantly affixed to his hand and spoke in two word sentences. When I told him I was dropping off a trailer he said "Out back" and slowly turned and walked away staring into his cell phone. After he finally disconnected the trailer he then wheeled over a dolly to move it. The dolly uses a simple lever and fulcrum design to raise the trailer tongue off the ground. He was unable to do this even after numerous attempts because the upright obviously needed to be adjusted. When I pointed this out to him he said "Doesn't move." So I adjusted it for him and miraculously he was able to raise it on his first attempt, I then helped him pushed the trailer back and forth to its storage location. No thanks or acknowelegement what so ever, he just walked away in slow motion staring at his phone. I never spend my time writing reviews and I doubt anyone at UHAUL even cares, they likely have the market cornered and have no interest in their daily operations, only dollars on a spread-sheet.

maria kI ordered a 20ft truck a week in advance. I arrived the morning of my move and they informed me there were no 20 ft trucks available and that they were overbooked. Nobody had attempted to contact me ahead of time to make other arrangements and I had movers meeting me to load the truck in only a couple hours. They looked at several nearby locations in an attempt to find another truck but those locations were closed well beyond when I needed the truck by so they ended up having to give me a 26 ft truck instead. What kind of booking system allows further reservations when the supplies don’t exist?! And when it does, why the hell didn’t someone contact me and let me know so I could make other arrangements?! Is nobody overseeing their reservations?! I seriously considered letting this go and not saying anything but what would have happened if they didn’t have the larger truck?! Not only was this incredibly stressful the morning of my move but I still had to pay full price for it and the situation was handled in a completely haphazard and reactionary manner that very well could have left me footing the bill for a move that never happened. Very disappointing.
