Here are the issues I had with this rental and the previous because it relates: 1. The clerk was very unprofessional that rented the vehicle 2. We were late an hour and the clerk would NOT give us a 24 hr Rental, However, the time before your location was an hr late prepping my van. The rear compartment was wet the cup holders in the cabin were sticky and got all over my cell phone. So it ok for your U-haul location to be late and unkempt, but NOT your customer. 3. Due to unsafe driving conditions we called several times the next morning to get an extension and was hung up on twice. We will NOT be using your location or U-haul for that matter. When we returned the truck that evening the guy inside was very rude. I stood in line for 20 min before he came from the back somewhere and then was very rude to everyone . 1-The truck had 140,000+ miles. It ran fine. But, it screeched, and whined and screamed at highway speeds something fierce; could not hear the radio or hold a conversation with the passenger. Don't know what the useful life is, or should be, of these trucks, but this truck should be looked at. 2-The guy who checked me in had "owner" on his name tag, suggesting he was the franchise owner. I'm not looking to make a new best friend when I go to the U-Haul store, but a pleasant greeting and semi-friendly demeanor doesn't seem like too much to expect, especially from the owner. (He was not rude, but definitely not a people person.) (When I feel like you're acting like you're doing me a favor renting me a truck, we're not off to a good start; that's why the 3 stars.) I was overcharged for my rental and charged for carts I did not get. I had reserved a cart and they didn't have one so they gave me the appliance one that I did not want or use.. Then they charged me for all 3 types and 2 full day rental when I picked the truck up at 2:57 and returned it at 3:26. I called customer service and after waiting for 30 minutes the nice person on the phone said she would try to take care of the overcharging.. It was about 72.00, I see that UHaul returned 28.00 to me. Honestly I am so disappointed. We have used UHaul multiple times and have never had this experience.DEBORAH KENNEDY K.

My UBox was guaranteed to arrive on a Thursday. On Wednesday, I called the Farmington Hills location to make sure that it was already there or close since I never received an email that it shipped. The Farmington Hills location told me they would look into it and call me soon. After 7 hours I called the location I dropped the UBox off at and they let me know there was a mistake and it was still at their location (a 5 day delay). They told me Farmington Hills had already contacted them. Later that day, Farmington Hills called me and told me they didn't know where my box was. Even though they knew it hadn't left the other side of the country yet and knew it was going to be late. Instead of telling me the truth, they said they would only call me when it was officially late. What kind of policy is it to not notify your customers until the day it's guaranteed to arrive that it won't? They should be letting customers know as soon as possible since our lives are in the Uboxes. Farmington Hills was also rude during pick up of the UBox. Better Tires are needed on 20 ft truck. Handled poorly in 4 inches of snow. And worse in a total of 9 inches . Northern Michigan overnight snowfall. Other than that to dealership was great service was great. Mikes allowed and time allowed was fair.JEFFREY MICHAEL W.
A few days before our scheduled pickup at my local U-Haul, customer service called to inform me that Farmington U-haul was 1 of 2 locations that had the truck and car carrier we reserved. Farmington was the closer of the 2, but still a 30 minute drive. I called 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup to confirm address and let them know I was on my way. We got there at 8:45 am. Nobody was there, no employees or customers. Our thought was they must be getting our equipment ready. We waited about 15 minutes before an employee walked in the office. We past the time watching an employee moving a truck on the security monitor. Once we got the paperwork done, I got the truck keys. I walk out to the lot to find out truck boxed in by other trucks. I had to find an employee and tell him. While I was waiting, I started the truck to melt the frost off the windows. The cab was verydirty. There were empty cans, wrappers and sun flower seeds on the floor. I cleaned out the truck. By this time they moved the other truck and I noticed that the windshield wipers were worn and bent. I asked them to replace them. They did and I waited some more.. It was apparent that nobody checked out this truck. Next issue was the trailer. I was told I had to back the truck up to the trailer, ok. I asked the young employee to direct me back. He stood by the tongue of the trailer. I had to get out of the truck and tell him to stand to the side where he could see me in my mirrors and I could see him. The way it should be done! He hooked up the trailer and told me I was all set. If he didn't know where to stand to direct someone backing up a truck, what confidence would a customer have with him hooking the trailer up properly? He never asked if I had any questions about using the trailer. From walking in to driving out, it took an hour. Please check your 16 security cameras , you could edit it down for a employee training class. Note. my rating is based on.. This is the 3rd time I was a part of a one way move with U-Haul. The other locations had the equipment clean, ready and went over it with us.BRIAN EDWARD F.

Equipment worked great for new, no problems whatsoever. Pickup and drop off was trouble free and associates were friendly. Pickup took a little longer than expected because the license upload process does not work very well, this could easily be sent to the customer in advance rather than having to do it at the register.John S.

I am a regular customer. I rent trucks from this specific location 3 times a week minimum for the past 5 years straight. I have also referred many people here as well. I continue to rent from & refer this location frequently for one MAIN reason!!! The manager Kenyon aka â€œKCâ€ and his associate Jennifer who currently works with U-Box but also does SO much for the whole store!! I've seen several managers & employees come and go at this location, but this duo is amazing!! ON TOP OF EVERYTHING they are currently short staffed (with reliable workers) and these 2 are ALWAYS there being so kind and helpful to everyone! Running around completing multiple tasks at the same time. I'm impressed and at times blown away by their work ethic and customer service! KC deserves a promotion, raise, whatever it is because he is an asset to your company. I wish I could find reliable employees like him and Jennifer!! Some days Kenyon is there when I pick up at 7am and still there when I return at 7pm due to call offs or reasons like that. I normally forget to leave positive reviews when I feel necessary but I can't forget how much these 2 do for not only myself and my company, but also U-Haul. Keep them as long as you can, and you will also keep me and the hundreds of people who I refer to them. Bad and rude customer service. I was charged for returning the dolly late, when I returned it on time, I asked to check my photos and also the security camera. Since the location didn't want to help make things right, and bluntly said that I was not listening when they didn't want to listen, i ended up calling the e service, Turns out the online return did't work correctly and it thought my GPS was 80 miles away from my location. I followed the detections I was given and this location didn't care and punished me by making me pay twice as much, they did't offer to help and didn't care to call and see what happened. This is not the only thing that happened at this location either. Never again. You lost A customer for life.OMAR SAEED A.

The truck interior smelled of sweat and body odor. On the return home we stopped to get gas and the truck would not start. There was water leakage in the front passenger floor area. My U-Haul experience was terrible. I was supposed to pick up my U-Haul in Southfield and I arrived at 9 AM rather than 8 AM and it has already been given to somebody else. Fortunately the Farmington Hills location still had the U-Haul truck I needed and I was able to complete my responsibilities. The Farmington Hills people were great, the Southfield people were helpful as I could be, but central U-Haul giveaway my rental and I'm not happy about itPATRICK FITZPATR I.
