Experience in the sales line was a joke. I was standing in line while the worker chatted to the customer about Michigan basketball and other things unimportant. During the 25 minutes I stood in line multiple Uhaul employees walked by without helping. There should be more than one person at the counter to help customers waiting. Way too slow of a process. Workers could care less. I renter a trailer which had remnants of leaves and other yard waste which was not properly cleaned out before my rental.

Make sure you have enough people checking customers in during the early morning hours. Customers are anxious for a long day ahead so the more efficient the check in the better. Our check in wasn't too bad, had 1 customer being checked in, and another started and then us so took about 20 minutes. Any more people there at that time and would not have been a good experience.

fhe oil mark is misleading because I got a truck with 5/8 of oil in the tank instead of full oil, I had refuel the tank with 8 gallons of oil with only 60 mile overall driving distance when I returned back . But still been charged for $9 for additional oil. I don't believe that truck only have 5 miles per gallon fuel consumption.

Billing too confusing and irregular first i get a rebate for gas level being below 1/4 tank but when i bring the truck back with 1/3 of a tank i get no rebate for bringing the truck back with more than a 1/4 tank. What gives???

ONLY major complaint is getting thru to UHAUL on the ONLY number I'm given to contact you folks...the levels of computer garbage to get to a live person is utterly HORRIBLE....wait times are unacceptable and disrespectful to say the least. I am missing a box that contained my stereo receiver and DVD player. I'm also missing two large custom photographed pictures. One of the U Box Containers was broken at the hinge and I noticed a brace was installed to keep the door shut. I'm wondering if something fell out, or was stolen or lost/not placed back in U Box when they "fixed" the U-Box container latch/security?

With the excellent move helper found thru your UBOX web, packing was very fast and perfect. Everything arrived in Texas without any issue. The movers utilized every cubic inch with UBOX's special pads. Customer Service in your central location was also amazingly helpful and made me feel very comfortable. UHAUL/UBOX knows the moving business! Thanks.

Uhaul changed my entire reservation to a bigger truck (20') at new pick up location (Farmington). Although honoring the same price and same mileage allowance. But somehow the reservation specifics (pricing/allotted mileage) were messed up therefore presenting a snafu upon pick up.

It took an hour to get me a truck. I attempted to use the online reservation method to quickly be in an out but that failed. The location gave away the truck I had reserved and inspected so they had to manually switch the truck. They were also understaffed so by the time I got help took extra time.

Keep training. Initial call I believed to be the Hometown Store said that they didn't have any of the trailers that I wanted and was confused enough by the conversation that I said I just was going to come over and when I got over there they didn't know who I talked to didn't know the name and had nine of the trailers that I was asking for so I don't know if that was your online people or who that was.

Let the customer know ahead of time that a link will be sent to their phone to report any damage to the equipment. I took pictures and mentioned it to the person hooking the trailer up, but he was not too concerned. When I got home I found the link on my phone, but when I tried it, the link had expired. The technology is useless if the customer doesn't know about it.

Charging the customer for 1/4 tank of gas when they used 1/8 seems bad enough but then tack on a $30 service gas fee to fill the tank? That is completely unnecessary when you are already making the premium on gas. Also, giving a customer a truck with only 1/4 tank to start is terribly inconvenient.

It was a terrible experience My reservation was cancelled by mistake without anyone telling me. A glitch in the system I was told. I called to find out time the packers were coming the night before and was told then. No one called me or emailed me. I had to find another packer company, now more expensive, and they couldn’t come in morning so I had to rearrange my plans at night. It was a panicky situation I hope no one else goes through. They did reimburse me the difference of the more expensive company and a little more. I do not feel the compensation was enough for what they put me through. Would not use these type of boxes again. Some of my vintage pieces were broke. Bought ins. But you need receipts. Jebs packing company didn’t pad and wrap furniture first. Never even used dolly or plastic wrap around the furniture. Was not happy to see broken memories.

When I went to pick up the truck I realized I needed a bigger truck then I had reserved. The worker was very nice and helpful and got me a larger truck quickly.

The customer service was great. But the equipment definitely needs to be inspected before renting to a customer. The trailer I rented had a messed up door and it only opened halfway. It made moving very difficult and they were closed by the time I got home and noticed this issue. I will inspect the equipment next time I rent myself since the employees obviously do not.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. I had to leave my car for the installation of a hitch. With no car, he suggested I walk to a nearby Target to pass the time. He called me when the installation was complete and actually picked me up from Target. And then he went above and beyond by helping me load my car while at Target. Such a gentleman!

There was no line for the self pick up users, instead I had to wait behind a line of people. This was my second rental in the last 30 days and I had the same experience both times. I wasted time preregistering, finding my rental and completing information and pictures when I arrived.

We completed out reservation on line for a 12:00 noon pick up, and it still took over 25 minutes past out reservation time to get our equipment and leave the store. There was only one employee, who was very personable and efficient, available to help customers resulting in a wait. When we returned the vehicle, we waited in the return lane for 10 minutes, no one came to receive the truck. I went into the building, the only employee was on the phone assisting a customer with two other customers waiting. Once off the phone the employee came outside and checked the vehicle, again, another 25 minute wait for U-Haul to do their job. Not the most customer friendly and efficient system for customers.

Make sure to dry the truck out before giving it out. There was a lot of water in the ??. This water nearly compromised some of the boxes we were moving. When I told them about it when we returned the truck there was no apology nor anything else done to try to make it right. My family has used Uhaul over 10 times in this past decade and this is the worse experience we've had. That being said, if this is the worse than the company overall is doing is a good job.

The mobile check-in didn't work. I found the vehicle and sat in it for 5-10 minutes after taking a picture of myself and my drivers license and answering the same questions I answered online when making the reservation days earlier. I had to go inside, stand in line, and wait for an agent to redo the entire reservation. The vehicle was fine and the return was easy, but the pickup was very inconvenient.

Set more realistic expectations. I was told that my hitch installation would take 30-45". I had an appointment. It took almost 2 and a half hours. If I had known that, I would have scheduled a different time. I will have my next hitch installation done at the dealer. It was not worth the $50 I saved by going to U-Haul.

first of all. the owner, Eric, is awesome. He is service oriented, articulate, polite, and is a pleasure to deal with. problems: 1. The app sucks. It locks up. Nice try. Fix it and rule your world. it also submits two order for everyone I entered. this has happened before. 2. the truck was clean but beat up. Very unpleasant to drive. Penske Ryder trucks are much better. 3. there is a short circuit and a problem with the ignition. the key sticks and cannot be easily removed. the ignition alarm goes off when there is no key in it. 4. The drives door is jacked and does not close properly. the result is massive and huge wind noise inside the cab. 5. the radio did not work.

The equipment return area is on the East side of the building. The instructions for after-hours drop off are also on the East side of the building, BUT the key drop slot is on the WEST side of the building. I did not see anything in the posted instructions telling the reader where the drop box is -- somewhat confusing! Other than the above, the personnel were all very friendly and accommodating, and the truck drove so well, it almost seemed like a car. I have rented here before and intend to do so in the future.

The location and people were very good to work with. It seemed like the computer system was holding up/delaying the check out process. That is my reason for not rating excellent.

This location was a backup. My initial reservation was to have been an 830am pickup with the truck in my possession for 18 hours. I made this over the phone and was promised a location that would accommodate my needs. My confirmation text and email were for a noon pickup with a 6pm drop off in Novi. Once I got that straightened out, I had a 9am pickup (after having been promised 830). On the day I was to get the truck, at 920 am, I contacted customer service because no one was at the location. Then I had to be transferred to another department. Then I had to pick up at another location. All in all I lost an hour of moving time. I was severely disappointed with UHAUL. Not sure I would try them again although the backup location did an outstanding job on no notice.

Vehicle was noisy, as if the brakes were dragging or there is an issue with the suspension. The vehicle ran OK, it just made some unusual noises going down the road.
