The GM Erick was helpful but the whole process was awful. Customer service messed up the hitch appointment, never received a call or email before my appointment. Ended up going to Hitch House to get a hitch put on because I didn’t have time to deal with rescheduling. When I got to the location to pick up my trailer they had the drop off at Staten Island NY. That’s not even close to where I was moving to in New Jersey? Then I found out they had the wrong email address for the confirmation. The whole service was just unnecessary stress that I didn’t need for moving out of state. The only good part was Erick helping me with the hitch and slide bar. He’s a great manager.

This is one of the worst location. Broken equipment, the staff were unable to get the card reader to work. Inspite of having a reservation, they took more than 30 minutes to get us out. After we returned the vehicle, they over charged us for 2 days when the reservation was only for one day. After unsuccessfully explaining the issue to a staff member i got transferred to another gentleman who immediately resolved the issue. Overall a very terrible experience. Please take this as positive feedback and fix the issue with this location.

When I arrived to pick up my truck, which I had arranged on line, no one was at the desk for almost fifteen minutes after which someone came out and started waiting on people. Shortly thereafter two more people showed up, clearly having left to go get coffee. Let’s just say I didn’t feel valued as a customer.

Overall the vehicle was clean, but the seats had some debris on them and they hadn't been vacuumed. Staff was accommodating and professional. Turn in process and billing was quick and easy.

U-haul saved my moving day. Originally booked brand “B” and when I got there, no truck available. They could not even find me one, even though I had a reservation. I called U-haul and they immediately found me a truck that fit my size and budget. I am now a U-haul customer for life!

Uhaul really dropped the ball with me. The big boxes drop off at my old address was scheduled by contract on May 21. They did not arrive until May 22. I was not advised of this delay at all. I just happened to check the web site and saw it was changed. I sought out the live chat for help and the lady explained that the "manager" changed the boxes delivery date. I was never advised. I am glad I looked as I had help lined up and my parking lot prepared. The boxes were supposed to be picked up on May 23rd. They were not picked up until on or about May 30th! Again, totally out of contract. When I was ready to have my boxes dropped off at my new residence on June 19, the lady on the phone said they couldn't deliver until 6/27. That was interesting because my rental period was due to end on 6/24. So, uhaul was able to squeeze under monthly rental charge. So I got charged for a full month even though, I got then three days later. Although my goods arrived undamaged and the physical use of the boxes and delivery went smooth, the scheduling etc is unacceptable. Come on UHAUL. You are better than this!

I reserved a pickup truck and a heavy duty trailer on line. I was promptly contacted by a representative via phone and directed to the Telegraph Road & 9 Mile location. The truck was there but no trailer. I was directed to the nearest store in Farmington to collect the trailer I had reserved. After completing my tasks I had to then drop off at two different locations. I was assured on the phone by the on line representative that both items I reserved were at the location they sent me to, but that was not a true statement. I’m afraid there is a disconnect between the on line system and the stores themselves that cost me valuable time.

I was returning a truck. I worked with the owner, he was fantastic! The store was well stocked with supplies, clean, and inviting. My only complaint was that there were only two employees so the wait was long. I waited a while for my turn, and there was still a long line when I left. Perhaps the day/time I was there is typically a slow time and this was not normal, I don't know.

Sometimes the process can be very slow, need more associates on busy mornings. Returned the trailer on this past Sunday morning about 10am, many people in line. I was told just to drop it out back, nobody checked me in.

Placed my order in person, had to due to system down. When came time day to pick up truck I needed to change time to a early status, called at 9am, which is when you open and the question was full and next available for the Farmington Hills/Gd River location was a 10-15 min wait @ 9am, so I was advised through the system to use Uhaul.com, well that was a headache, had to enter all this info again that I gave in person and i had my contract number, I just wanted to change to a earlier pick time. So I completed the pickup info and now I'm still with the LATER time, finally I called back again and pressed another number and finally someone in person, explained I needed to pick truck up at 10:30am instead of 1:30pm, she obliged me and I'm all set. Went to pick up truck at 10:15 and found a line of people and only 2 agents serving the people, I told the owner, I've already gone through check in process, can I get my truck and go, no I must go through this process at the desk again, then he said I could have used the quick, check and go by using my phone...what, I could have done that! Get bigger SIGNS that show you how and at this location, bigger SIGNS for returns, this location would be a smoother transition in the future.."Write the vision on the wall, and make it plain".... at the end of the day...job completed !

Erick and his associates were extremely helpful and accommodating! They recommended that I rent the plastic bins instead of buying and assembling all the boxes I needed for my move. The bins worked out GREAT and saved a hundred boxes from being added to the landfill as well as saving me the time and hassle of having to assemble all of those book boxes. I also used Uhaul Moving to find and schedule movers to help me move all of these bins. They, too, were wonderful! thank you, Uhaul, for providing all of these helpful services!

My new favorite uhaul location. There was a discounted wire on one of theside marker lights on the 5x8 uhaul trailer we rented. They were able to fix it within 5 minutes and we were on ourway.

Experience in the sales line was a joke. I was standing in line while the worker chatted to the customer about Michigan basketball and other things unimportant. During the 25 minutes I stood in line multiple Uhaul employees walked by without helping. There should be more than one person at the counter to help customers waiting. Way too slow of a process. Workers could care less. I renter a trailer which had remnants of leaves and other yard waste which was not properly cleaned out before my rental.

Make sure you have enough people checking customers in during the early morning hours. Customers are anxious for a long day ahead so the more efficient the check in the better. Our check in wasn't too bad, had 1 customer being checked in, and another started and then us so took about 20 minutes. Any more people there at that time and would not have been a good experience.

fhe oil mark is misleading because I got a truck with 5/8 of oil in the tank instead of full oil, I had refuel the tank with 8 gallons of oil with only 60 mile overall driving distance when I returned back . But still been charged for $9 for additional oil. I don't believe that truck only have 5 miles per gallon fuel consumption.

Billing too confusing and irregular first i get a rebate for gas level being below 1/4 tank but when i bring the truck back with 1/3 of a tank i get no rebate for bringing the truck back with more than a 1/4 tank. What gives???

ONLY major complaint is getting thru to UHAUL on the ONLY number I'm given to contact you folks...the levels of computer garbage to get to a live person is utterly HORRIBLE....wait times are unacceptable and disrespectful to say the least. Something MUST change here or I take my business elsewhere.

I am missing a box that contained my stereo receiver and DVD player. I'm also missing two large custom photographed pictures. One of the U Box Containers was broken at the hinge and I noticed a brace was installed to keep the door shut. I'm wondering if something fell out, or was stolen or lost/not placed back in U Box when they "fixed" the U-Box container latch/security?

With the excellent move helper found thru your UBOX web, packing was very fast and perfect. Everything arrived in Texas without any issue. The movers utilized every cubic inch with UBOX's special pads. Customer Service in your central location was also amazingly helpful and made me feel very comfortable. UHAUL/UBOX knows the moving business! Thanks.

Uhaul changed my entire reservation to a bigger truck (20') at new pick up location (Farmington). Although honoring the same price and same mileage allowance. But somehow the reservation specifics (pricing/allotted mileage) were messed up therefore presenting a snafu upon pick up.

It took an hour to get me a truck. I attempted to use the online reservation method to quickly be in an out but that failed. The location gave away the truck I had reserved and inspected so they had to manually switch the truck. They were also understaffed so by the time I got help took extra time.
