The Westland location sent us to Farmington Hills which was an extra 10 miles from where we needed to go. This caused us to pay way more than anticipated in mileage and gas. We reserved our truck a month ago and didn't find out we didn't have a truck in Westland until they initially thought they â€œlostâ€ the key, this took a half an hour until they finally told us the truck wasn't there. The equipment was adequate in cleanliness, but the exterior damage as well as the mechanical condition of the truck was troublesome. The truck shakes violently at 70 mph on the interstate but was tolerable at 65. Thanks for asking for feedback!PHILLIP LEE C.

The truck that was assigned to be was booked until half an hour before I had reserved it, and that person was late in returning it. As a result, I had to wait over half an hour AFTER my reservation time to get the truck. The people at UHaul were very helpful in getting my my truck as fast as possible, but it seemed that this was a common occurrence that they had to deal with from the scheduling software. I was not given anything in return for my wait, despite UHaul's on time guarantee and the issue clearly being due to the scheduling software.JACK HENRY L.

The check-in process was frustratingly confusing and hard to navigate online. I will be doing the in-person check-in next time, as the online process makes you go to the desk anyway. The return process, by contrast, was quick, painless, and easy.Gregory S.

This location was good. I shouldn't have had to use it. I had a reservation at a different location and they did not have my equipment. What does "RESERVATION" mean anymore. Pick-up of vehicle was slow. Was supposed to be able to check-out via the app, but the app said no vehicle was assigned to my order. Had to wait to pick up the vehicle. 4 hours for an " in town move." Could NOT RETURN to the U-Haul down the street where we moved to. Had to take it back WHERE I PICKED IT UP!!!! Had the truck 45 minutes past time, so I got charged for an extra day. IF I COULD HAVE DROPPED IT WHERE CONVENIENT FOR THE CUSTOMER, I would have avoided having to put EXTRA GAS TO RETURN AND WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN A SECOND DAY CHARGE.Melinda C.

Counter service is very slow, there was 8 people waiting with only 1 person behind the window, then someone came from the back to answer a question, did not try to help just returned to the back. When we dropped off our truck and trailer they tried to charge us foe gas even thought it had more than the required 1/4 tank. They also said we went over in milage which we wete not. We had to argue these two things to finally get it right. I even osid for a extra day which we did not need we even returned it earlier than the normal five days. Pickup was at 10AM and got at the facility at 9:30. There was a line of 7 people and had to wait 40 minutes to get the vehicle. It only took me a couple minutes when it was my turn since I already had reservations and everything ready.Andrew F.
Owner said no truck was available; we had to correct them that there was one outside. There were long lines (maybe 15 people) and and no one seemed to be at the front desk except temporarily. But then if you want to do mobile check-out, you need a passport, even though who carries their passport? And your references are called even though nothing on the site says they'll be called, and if you take a head shot where a picture should be taken, it's declined and you need to wait in the long line anyway. It was a half hour before we picked up our truck in a 4-hour window after a very frustrating experience.Samuel L.

I would recommend having the items ready and available for the customer when they arrive at the appointed time. They didn't have the dollies I needed and had reserved. My truck was dirty and smelled musky. The tire pressure on my tires was low causing the truck to float around the highway. And my steering wheel was off by about 30 degrees. Unacceptable for 4 grand!JACEN G.

The vehicle itself broke down on me half way through my move (I didn't know it at the time but this was due to an air duct disconnecting from the engine). I was delayed over 4 hours as a result - had to unpack and repack the truck, and when I tried to speak with anyone at Uhaul about the issue i was put on hold (for 3+ hours in total) on multiple occasions. Trying to call the actual Farmington Hills location the day after to discuss I was never able to get through and put on hold for another hour+. Customer service and accountability were sever lacking at the location to this pointMICHAEL RICHARD H.

Gas gauge in the truck was broken. When I filled the truck up the gauge read"empty". Makes me wonder what the actual fuel level was when I picked the vehicle up.Jeremy V.
The representative was pleasant. The vehicle was ok however, the side mirrors were rusted which made them non-poisitional. Therefore I had to drive leaning forward and side to side just so that I could see vehicles around me. I brought my own car charger because I was using the GPS on my phone. Unfortunately the port in the truck didn't work so I couldn't charge to check in once I'd returned the truck to the location at 9:30ish pm. This truck also needs either an alignment or the tires checked... possibly both idk. This wasn't the worst rental I've ever driven but it definitely was not the best either.SIMONE TENEE C.

Excellent service! This location handled what had been an horrible experience. 45 to 1 he hold times on the 800 number. Screwed up instructions for moving helpers. Contractor tried to help but uhaul screwed it up. I would recommend this location due to staff. However uhaulwoth it's disjointed relations ship structure is awful.randeep S.
