Angel B.The initial set up was stressful and confusing - the call center couldn't decide if they did or did not have a truck available. They moved my pick up time back by a few hours but I arrived before my original pick-up time and was given the correct vehicle immediately. I don't understand the organizational process but there seems to be a disconnect. At and after pick-up, everything was a breeze.

Janell L.It depends. I had online reservation byt it didn't help out for getting my rental quickly. I showed up a few min earlier than I booked time and online check in didn't work. I was waiting in line for 30 min to get served. Uhaul should have enough workers to handle morning crowd and separate line to handle online reservations which all personal data collected already. Now I still didn't get receipts for the charges of my rentail.

When I returned the van, the attendant didn't seem interested in telling me everything was good to go. Facility was filthy, hadn't been cleaned in years, very unprofessional, a complete mess.

barbara A.No problems with the equipment or rental. Customer service was lacking. The lady at the desk was horrible. I completed the online checkin process and only had to get a key from the desk. She had customers waiting but was watching a movie on her cell phone. I asked her for the key and she got an attitude and acted like she did not know why I was there. She then said she didn't know where the key was and just sat there. She finally got up and went to ask someone in the back who proceeded to pull the key off the hook right behind her chair and threw it at her. She picked it up and said here you go.

One piece of feedback is if you have booked a back to back reservation on a truck, call the individual with the truck before it is overdue… I was competent unaware of the deadline and got a call 20 minutes AFTER the original drop off time letting me know we were inconveniencing another family who was there waiting. Had I received the call 30 minutes before as opposed to after I could have gotten it there on time, just feels like an easy place to improve and make the experience of the customer dropping off and picking up better

Melissa, we need more people like you. I'm in Florida and needed assistance at your location for my sister and Melissa made the process so flawless ,so easy. When I travel back to Pennsylvania hopefully soon , I will make sure that I stop at that location just so I can say thank you once again face-to-face with Melissa.

Matthew D.The uhaul truck was very easy to pick up and drop off. There was a full tank of gas and ran well. I food open food container under the drivers seat. The problem was 24 hours after drop off I received a call asking where the truck was and could I please drop it off. After a phone call and visiting the rental location I finally got it straightened out and received a receipt . GET a receipt at drop off.

luba S.I was denied One Way travel and ability to drop the truck off in the town where I am moving to. It was quite inconvenient for me and the men who moved me, we were expecting to be finished as soon as we unloaded. The young man who checked me in was quite polite, but told me it would be a $700-800 fee if I did not bring the truck back. I have NEVER had a U-haul without a one-way drop off, even if for a small fee. There were plenty of parked trucks and vans in the parking lot. There should have been a LARGE Banner on the website to indicate "Local" or "One Way Rentals Only". Depending on my job, I sometimes move 12-18 months or so, I will never use U-Haul, I have told several (also mobile) friends about it and I (we) plan to use a different self-moving company. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Jesse E.I had reserved a truck online for 7:45PM on a Friday, and the system asked if I wanted to do the app pick up or in-person and I opted for the app. The store was open until 8, but i figured it wouldn't matter if i got there after 8 since I opted for the pick up that was to be done on the app without representative help. I got to U-Haul shortly after 8, the store was closed and when i opened the app to start my pick up it said i needed to do it in person when the store opened at 7AM. I called customer service and was on hold for 1 hour before a representative got on the line. She let me know that since i made the reservation for 7:45PM and the store was still open, keys where not left for my vehicle in the pick up box. Had I known, i would have ensured i picked up the vehicle while the store was open, OR i would have made the reservation for after the store closed. We picked up the vehicle without issue the next morning by getting to the location at the time they opened. The only issue with the vehicle itself was that the passenger side mirror was loose and this is unacceptable when driving a large truck with no review mirror and side view mirrors are essential. When my husband returned the truck he told the person that checked in the truck and he said "i guess we'll have to fix that". My husband also let him know that the windshield wipers were worn and needed replacing. The day we rented the truck is was rainy and foggy. These things should be checked and maintained regularly. U-haul is a convenient option for moving but there are things that could be done better.

I suggest you staff with more than 1 person during peak transaction periods. There was a line of frustrated customers waiting to rent trucks.
