make sure to inspect vehicles properly before renting them out to a new customer. I rented a van that I picked up on Saturday morning to help move my daughter back home from OSU. I inspected the vehicle body before leaving rental premises. On the way to OSU I noticed that the windshield on the passenger side was cracked on the far right passenger side. I had not hit anything or heard anything hit the windshield which given the size of the crack would have to be a sizeable object or rock. I did explain upon return of the vehicle but was told that I am fine as I had bought insurance. To my surprise I still got charged 150$ for a damage I had not caused. Clearly that teaches me to also inspect windshield for a next time but really left an odd feeling having to pay for a damage that was not caused by me. Clearly an experience that I will avoid for another time.RENE G.

This rental created panic for me, I was told my rental was not received when I was told to drop in lot and leave keys in truck . 2 hrs after pickup I receive an email stating my truck needed to be checked in. Not sure how 22 miles equaLs 3 gallons of gas but okay. I called the nobody answered on hold for half hour to be told they would be concerned too.. then I called another 800 number to be told same thing .. this morning I received an email with my charges including 3 gallons of gas charge. You could start by wearing mask. Truck was barely 'cleaned'. Windshield was so dirty I couldn't see out of it once it became dark because of the glare the dirty window was producing. Screws and other misc items in the cargo area that was supposed to be cleaned as well. No contact pickup yet I had to have contact twice and spent about 45 minutes trying to pick up truck although I had already paid. I'll NEVER use this store, I'll leave HORRIBLE reviews on every platform and I'll NEVER recommend someone use this store including myself as this was a temporary move and I'll need a moving truck here again shortly. The gas came up wrong on the computer and, when I took the van, I took a picture of the gas. I only drove the van for 3 miles, so I didn't want to be responsible for a half a tank of gas. I got it back to the shop and the very nice gentleman was able to take care of it for me. The shop and trucks are always clean and the service is always friendly. I would definitely recommend. Unfortunately, I had an accident with the truck when I failed to clear a bridge in Loveland. I also damaged the brand new bedroom set that I was transporting home. I met with the U-Haul representative to examine the damage and determine if I should make a claim on my insurance. Unfortunately, I did not opt to pay the $16 for insurance, largely based on never having any issues in renting trucks from U-Haul on several occasions (although this was the largest truck I had rented in recent history). During the damage inspection, the U-Haul representative told me that this type of accident (failure to clear the Loveland bridge) happened very frequently; however there was no warning provided at the store prior to rental. He then offered to settle up on the damage for around $345 that day; likely because of U-Haul's insurance coverage for the trucks and to cover the deductible and then some. I agreed and paid that extra money in reliance on that promise. When I received my credit card statement, the location charged me for the damage settlement and also over $3K for the damage! Based on the misrepresentation, I reasonably relied in paying the $345 which tripled my bill and I didn't submit it to my insurance carrier. I want the $3K charge removed immediately or unfortunately I may have to pursue legal action. It would be the first time in my 23 years as a practicing attorney I would have to take this step but I need U-Haul to honor its commitment. I hope this is not necessary and I would appreciate an immediate response.ERIC W.

Attendant that helped me very kind and professional. Asssited with hook up which took all of five minutes. Trailer worked perfect, all lights functional and was a real help for my move. $25 a day for 3 days saved me lots of cost from my movers by moving smaller items and all boxes myself to my new home, only a mile or so away from my current location and it was empty which helped. .RALPH F.

There were no issues with the rental that was fine. What was concerning to me was none of the employees were wearing masks. We are a state where masks are required and with the current environment, you would think they would be following protocol. It makes me question if I would rent from that location again.JOHN S.

Milford, OH agent was not able to explain why his fee was higher than the amount of my confirmation. A u-haul representative reserved my trailer for $43.77. I couldn't leave Milford without agreeing to their fee of $51.24.John M.
Had to wait both times for customer service a little bit. Had to locate someone who was with another customer. Is there a simple system to let people coming to rent or dropping off that we are in the correct location? I will never use the online system again. Every time I do this I have to still go inside show my ID that they take a picture of (I did this myself in the app) and all of the other questions....whats the point? Also when I drop off I have to go find someone on the property they say my receipt will be emailed to me but I ALWAYS HAVE TO CALL UHAUL TO GET MY RECEIPT. NO MORE WILL I USE YOUR SYSTEMS.Chad R.
My issue is with U-haul not with location. No truck where rented online had to drive to another location and pay for mileage for their mistake. The delay in picking up made movers hired in the website to run over an extra hour again additional out of pocket expense. Was told that the mileage rate would be decreased by.20 per mile a $5 savings I am out $150 thanks U-haulJames M.
