The app would not let me return the uhaul truck to the same location, it put our return location in Longmont CO, which is not even close to where we needed to drop off. Our account was then charged extra for not dropping off at the right location. This is not acceptable or convenient at all.Rob C.

There was no employee inside, while me and another customer waited 5-10 minutes to be helped. When I was helped, I wasn't given the dolleys I ordered so my husband had to go back for them. When he got there they said they didn't have them, then found only one. They gave us a different piece of equipment we didn't need which did not help us moving what we were moving. Overall a good moving experience. The website communications are confusing and often not quite in sync with the local branch actually handling things. When in doubt, just call the local branch to find accurate info.Jack L.

I didn't realize gas was below half a tank until I had driven off. I paid $60 in gas (16 gallons) to drive the truck about 20 miles (maybe 3 gallons of gas). I'm a bit frustrated I had to pay for the last person's gas because they didn't return the truck full.Kevin C.

My drop off location listed on my contract refused to accept the truck, they said their lot was full. I was forced to drive to a different town who said there would be a drop fee. After much arguing I was able to leave the truck without a fee. I was returning two days early on a one way from out of state trip. Very poor customer service, the worst experience ever, extremly high prices. Miserable truck (15 foot) very uncomfortable for a cross country long distance move.Terri H.
The pickup process was MUCH better than in the past... great experience this time. No double entry of information from the web etc. as I have had to do in the past. The drop off process... I waited 10 minutes for someone to come out and finally just completed the drop off online by myself. Not sure what that was about but having the online DIY drop off saved the experience, otherwise I would have been upset about waiting so long. I was never even acknowledged even though there were employees on site and walking around.Matthew S.
I was charged incorrectly on my rental and the manager was unwilling to help. I also received a subsequent charge that was unrelated to my rental. I didn't receive a receipt or notification of this charge to my card. I now need to contact customer support to resolve this issue.Robert T.

I rented online for a pick up of noon. We arrived a few minutes after noon. The van that we rented was not ready to go as it was in line to be cleaned. It took over 20 minutes to get this done and the person cleaning knew we were waiting for it. That took almost 30 minutes of our rental. I'm not sure if the returned vehicles can be delayed until they're marked as ready to go?Amanda J.

I tried to return my 5 x 8 trailer the night before it was due at 7am the next day. I could not check it in as they had my name wrong in the system, my wife's email assigned to me and I couldn't pull up my rental online because of this or using the confirmation number so I had to come back in the morning and wasted 30 minutes at 11:30pm after a long 2 days of moving trying to figure out your ineffective online system. The lady the next morning just told me to â€œfile a claim.â€Tom D.

Everything was disorganized, dirty trailer we had to hose out it was so thick with sand. The desk boy told my S/O he didn't have to have his license on file to drive, I was later told he was autistic and I questioned why they had someone running the front desk putting clients at risk for a lawsuite. As I had them fix this license issue knowing the law the following day. Our trailer was set to be dropped at a completely separate location then our truck, and I was charge around $400 in fees after that were illegal and incorrect. When disputed upon drop off I had to be transferred 3 different times and the regional manager Tiffany of Manhattan/junction city Ks, forwarded us to a shop manager in New Mexico. Ridiculous. I was told I'd get a call back. But instead at the end of the day I found that I was charged the incorrect fees anyway. So I'm putting a block on uhaul and filing a full claim and not paying for the distress inconvenience and awful service. I will never use uhaul again. Penske has never given me these issues. Just lazy and terrible service here at uhaul.ALICIA M.

My van was dirty to start the trip. Not a huge deal, just kind of a turn-off. The van was 4% off on the speedo, which caused me to be charged for an additional 92 miles over the course of my drive. That sucks.Scott R.
After initially getting the trailer connected to my car I had to come back the next day to get it fixed before my trip. The chains were dragging and wiring wasn't done right. Also there wasn't a safety protector for the hook on the brake chain so it came off while driving. All in all it felt very unsafe.Elizabeth L.

My overall experience with U-haul was unacceptable and positively the worst rental experience I have ever had everyone I dealt with except Nick in Widefield was the poorest customer service experience and I dealt with 4 locations and 3 calls to their 1-800 number. I would encourage everyone to look somewhere else for their rental needs and will not rent anything else from uhaul.Arielle H.

I went through the check-in process twice on my phone and the pickup option was shown, but kept taking me back into the check-in screen. So I was not able to remotely check out my equipment. When I went inside, none of the information, driver's license photos, etc, had actually uploaded into the transaction, so we had to go through the whole thing again on the employees computer. Twice. This location is notorious for a low cell phone signal and you have to stand right next to the building to use the wi-fi. If you're going to offer an app in an area where there's a low cell phone signal, extend the Wi-Fi to the parking lot. Up your game.Scott S.

When a customer requests a certain location for pick up and that location doesn't have the kind of vehicle available. You should probably not let that kind of vehicle be reserved for that location. If you do maybe send a confirmation email with the new location and give the customer other options before just changing it on the customer.Marriah B.

The lady Sam was rude when we first went in. Said there was nothing. She would not help to locate another location. We ended going all the way across town to another location. They had nothing. There was a long line of customers when I came to pick up my truck, and it took about 15 minutes for an employee to come help any of us. The truck that I rented to cross the country was very dirty on the outside with lots of dead bugs on the truck and especially the windshield was so filthy that I had to stop at the nearest gas station to clean it off! The inside passenger seat also had a large amount of dog hair on it. The check engine light of the truck was on, which is odd considering the truck only had 22,000 total miles on it. I assume this means that Uhaul is not taking care of their trucks. The truck was also only 3/8 full, and I feel this is a rude practice from Uhaul because it forces the customer to spend time figuring out exactly how much gas to put in the car when returning it since Uhaul doesn't reimburse for extra gas. The reason I am leaving this less-than positive review is that the Uhaul scheduler I talked to on the phone gave me a slightly better price than that of Budget Truck and told me that Uhaul is much better than Budget and that Budget sucks. Well I'm here to say that Uhaul sucks, too!Andrew G.

The gentle man who helped me came out the back after 4 of us were in the store. Then when he finally helped me he did not speak clearly, mumbling his words and was hard to understand. I didnt know That I needed to bring the UHaul back with gas, Luckily I am good person and brought it back with more fuel then when i received the truckJaime M.

Absolute worst cust serv. The rep, man with snake eye printed earring studs was rude, frustrated that i would even ask for a credit. He was a white guy, 40's to 50's, short hair, heavy set guy. He grabbed my contract and threw it upset that he had to figure out what he had to do. He was pounding on the keyboard and angrily blurting out that, this isn't right. Not this one! I cant do it till Tristan closes the contract. In the end, he threw my contract towards me and said to just leave. He'll send me an email. But I got the receipt and there was no credit for dollies I didn't use. I did see though that I was incorrectly charged for fuel even though I showed Tristan the pics before/after. I told him that the gas was 1/2 before pulling out. He said to take pics of it before and after and he'd update it. I showed him the pics and he said "yup" and walked away. No confirmation/next steps. So I assumed he'd update it but no he charged me for the gas. I have contacted support, Ruby McNeil, and emailed her the pics to issue me a credit. She on the other hand was super helpful, patient, empathetic and as a previous cust serv manager, a person I would have on my team. Hands down!Anthony M.
