all was good until drop off - attendant was not to be found for several minutes. Checked all areas, bathroom, garage and was ready to contact police- attendant appeared out of no where and when I expressed my concern dirty look was given and he was back to face down on his cell phone. I was onsite for about 10 minutes looking for alive person. Also online feature was allowing photos so I really needed a live person.

The store manager was extremely rude. As I entered the store, there was no employee for about 10 minutes. When the manager came, he talked absolutely rubbish and just handed me the keys without any information(mileage, any damages to look for upfront). I walked all the way back to get the truck and found that it was blocked between other trucks. So I had to go back and forth to inform about this to the manager and was no where to be found. By the way, it was raining when all this happened. I asked him to take the front truck out so that I can remove my rental truck and rudely he just threw the key at me and asked me to remove the front truck which I didnt even rented. After that, he just refused to even listen to me. I called customer service and informed about the incident right away and they also called that guy to see what is happening. Worst ever experience with uhual. Never going to that location again and would think twice to rent uhaul if this is how it is going to stay!

This was my first time renting a uhaul so I was a little anxious, but the staff (specifically Luis) was patient with me and helped me find everything and return everything.

Location was incredibly understaffed. It was one of the busiest weekends for moving in Boston (Sept 1st college move-in) and they only had one employee working. The one employee was moving trucks in the back when I arrived so I waited in the empty store with 3 other customers trying to find an employee for over 10 minutes before I walked behind the store and found him. The one employee was incredibly frustrated that he was overworked and yelled at myself and another customer when we found him.

When we went to pickup rental there was a long line. We arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled pickup and didn't get our rental until 15 minutes after our scheduled pickup time. There was only one person waiting in customers. Also upon drop off there is a sign that says wait here to return your rental. After 15 minutes I went inside and someone came out to assist in our return. There was in fact no one working outside for returns like the sign had read.

Improve customer care, the staff have attitude it's like they are forced to work, it says they open 7Am but they opened almost 8Am, i returned the equipment before 1pm same day but i was charged till 1:15pm, even no one came to check the equipment i returned they just said leave it there you're all set. Equipment had check engine light.

I came to the store at 10:00 am last Sunday. There was only one employee in the store - Andrew Chery. He is extremely unprofessional and impolite. I reserved a Cargo Van but he insisted it was a 10' Truck until I show him the order details. After waiting 20 mins, he assigned me a Cargo Van with a broken right mirror! The glass smashed into pieces so it is unsafe to drive it. I found that and asked him to give me another vehicle. ANDREW insisted that it was drivable even with the BROKEN MIRROR! He told me if I want another car, I had to wait at the end of the line after he finished helping everyone else. I argued that I came before other customers and he hadn't finished my service. Then Andrew started to yell at me and threw the keys on the table in front of all customers, acting like I was the trouble maker. Then I called the manager Luis Cardona Jr to report this problem. The manager said exactly the same thing as Andrew, insisting that a VEHICLE WITH A BROKEN MIRROR IS DRIVABLE! He even told me that day was his only day off the entire week and I shouldn't bother him. I just can't believe the horrible customer service at this place. Then I report this issue to U-haul during my waiting time. Andrew was very unhappy with that, he threw my license to the table when he finally gave me another vehicle. I came to this store at 10:00 am and got the vehicle at 11:20 am. which totally ruined my plan for moving. Even two days later, I have no ideas how much they charged me because there were thousands of mistakes in the receipt they gave me. I will never come back to this place again.

Brand new truck with 6k miles on it. Rode and hauled very well. I've used U-Haul multiple times over the last 12 years and I'm sure I will use them again in the future. Good value, good price.

I originally booked my reservation for a different location for self check in, but there was another truck blocking the entrance so I had to move locations. Then once I got to the Malden location there was a long wait. Only one person was helping people check in. He was great and went as fast as possible, but over worked.

Called the day before pickup to confirm pickup location, which was different from my online reservation. Person answering the phone very grumpy. Nobody at the store/counter when picking up, waited for ~7 min..There was no other customer waiting. Tracked down the owner ( as shown on his badge) on site, who told me to wait. Waited for ~ 10 min, he was just conversing with a presumably personal visitor, whom he hugged. Truck was OK but not exactly swept clean. Cab full of animal hair. I guess relying on previous renter to self report doesn't work.

The original location that was given for drop-off BY UHAUL, would not accept our truck. We were then FORCED to use another location. That 2nd location was under staffed and did not even properly check in the truck. We then received a LATE FEE EVEN THOUGH WE WERE ON TIME and EVEN THOUGH WE WERE FORCED BY UHAUL TO GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION THAT WE HAD TO FIND ON OUR OWN!

My review is of Uhaul as a whole, not just this location. This is a busy time of year to move in my area - I get that. To avoid difficulty, I called after making my reservation 5 months in advance and had the regional office change my reservation to a 24 hour reservation as this is what I required. This was changed to a 6 hour and I was not notified, severely disrupting my move. How about doing something to lock in rental time periods? Pay a down payment to lock in your rental time, confirming with reservations 1 month out. At the very least, notify them of any changes in their reservation. This is utterly unacceptable and made my move far worse than it had to be. I've used UHaul for my last few moves and I dont think I will be using them again.

With the rush of Greater Boston move-in during the week of September 1st, this location and staff really provided as much of a helpful and stress-handling environment as possible. Glad I rented here.
